I don't know why I came here, I'm an adult with no kids.. If you been to one of the real bird parks like in Malaysia or Indonesia, you wouldn't be impressed. Also a lot of birds are kept in tiny cages.. that's frustrating

Great place for a family day out. I was given an owl handling experience and it was brilliant. The keeper was friendly and knowledgeable and being able to hold and fly the owls was incredible. The owl parliament section was really good too as were the penguins. Underwater world is atmospheric and very interesting. The theatre presentation and animal handling are great for all ages. The train is fun but bumpy. There are lots of play areas, toilets and places to eat. A good value day out for all ages

Would recommend a visit. The birds are well kept and signs are informative and give good bird facts. The entry price is very reasonable compared to other attractions. The only downside is the other interests that s are not bird related are visually looking tired and need some TLC or investment. Considering it s owned by the garden centre next door I would have expected more well placed flowers(blooms) and updated planting areas/displays that s would make the site look 100 times better. Nice little cafe on site where you can sit inside or out.

Great place for both adults and children! Plenty of animals to see and interact with and many talks/shows going on throughout the day. We were able to feed most of the animals out of our hands. Well worth the money!

A great place to take the kids, an abundance of birds to see, including a tropical house, a petting farm, which during the Christmas period usually has reindeer, and a good array of places to eat, as well as places to have a picnic. Your kids will have a whale of a time.

I saw many birds with bald patches including penguins and Ostrich ... clearly some very unhappy birds. I also didn't agree with a very sad looking Robin being kept in a cage!?! Went to the garden centre next door for lunch as the food looked and smelt awful in Birdworld.

I love birdworld. The farm is excellent, and so is the underwater world. Great value for money and I highly recommend season tickets. Also, we have been to visit santa every year since my son was born and intend to each Christmas until he gets too old.

I had never been here before and thought that it would be nice to head out with the kids. My partner had been before and suggested it. It was a lovely day out, the kids enjoyed it, so did us adults (Hawaiian geese are my all time favourites). I loved that you could go in with the goats and could pet them. The only thing that I wasn't keen on was the weather, but that can be helped. It was nice that it wasn't over crowded. I'd definitely go again when the kids can use the play areas.

Last visited 10 yrs ago and a lot of change. I have a 2 yr old and very awesome day out with family. My daugtet loved the open farm and rabbits and goats around too. Worth a day out with little ones.

Great day out and my boys loved it.

Great day out and my boys loved it.

A wide range of birds to see with plenty of information at each of the enclosures. All the birds we saw looked healthy and the enclosures were in good condition and clean. A lot of the parrots are friendly and used to contact and will actively engage with people by whistling, speaking, generally showing off and will also come and ask for a fuss.

At the entrance there is the option to buy pots of meal worms which was a great touch as this gave the chance to feed many of the birds within the park, and with small top up dispenser stations around the park meant my boys didn't miss out on feeding other birds they encountered.

The animal encounter area was well laid out and allows everyone to get up and close. My youngest got mobbed by the chickens and turkeys much to his delight when he decided to sit on the grass and pour a pot of meal worms on his lap.

There are two playground areas which give any active monkeys the chance to blow off some energy while adults can sit and bask on the grass or take some shade at some of the tables.

The bird displays were a little short with only four birds being displayed, but were informative nether the less and the penguin feeding was good to watch as the penguins were very active compared to other zoos we have visited.

Toilets were clean and tidy, and the grounds were well maintained and the staff were polite and helpful. The food in the canteen was good but was pricey so a picnic may be a better option for some. The souvenir shop had plenty to choose from.

You can easily spend half a day here but if you get a great day of weather could easily spend the entire day here as we did.

Lots of birds to see including some I have never seen before. Children loved being able to feed the birds with the two different types of food avaliable to purchase.
We found four different play areas which the children really enjoyed.
The bird flying display was great and flew an unexpected variety of birds. It is not the most up to date and beautiful place bit still a very enjoyable day out.

Had a great day out here with my 3 year old and baby. Both got a lot out of it and their highlights included the penguins, flamingoes, safari train ride, little farm, dinosaur walk, and the chance to feed the birds as we went around (feed More

Penguin feeding a great experience. Bought a penguin feeding experience for someone. The staff were really friendly, took lots of time to explain. They made the experience truly memorable.
