Good service, nice range of furniture, reasonably priced

It's a pretty average shop. Prices are comparable to other brand name stores. If you're after something to fill out the house but dont want anything extravagant I guess this would be the place

Went to Temptation Cafe in Big Save building. Nice quiet & relaxing place to have lunch to get away from a busy noisy work place food always good. Havent been inside furniture place yet.

We had a great experience with this place recently. We bought a new couch. The lady who helped us was amazing. She really knew her stuff and helped us settle on colors and fabrics while being friendly and fun.

Surely if you come back into the store 10 minutes later it's because you want to buy something... we sat for 10 minutes on the couch we wanted to purchase, 3 unoccupied sales men looked over, walked past and generally ignored us - instead of taking a cash sale. Off to Harvey Norman!

I Purchased a new Queen Harlow Bed during lock down unfortunately what I recieved was a shopfloor bed not a brand new one. Sent photos as the bed was more like secondhand and the responce from the store was we will have a new one by friday. 4 days after the new one should have arrive no bed and no return phone call from the Glenfield Store Manager Gregg very poor service and communication.

Mixed feelings about this one as the first time we went there, all we were told about was how to finance furniture that we weren't even gonna buy.
Second visit better but hardly any staff attendance and therefore quite the opposite.

They have all types of mattress high to low quality.

Great range of furniture and really good prices. The shop is incredibly hot though and couldn't stay for more than a few mins, don't know how the staff can work like that!

I ordered a piece of furniture before Xmas to be ready by mid January. I have had to call each week as no-one bothers to let me know what is happening. Firstly it was the Manufacturer and then it was the Carrier that was the problem. Last week was told that they would arrange the delivery for this week, still nothing. Am not impressed with the service.

We went to buy a coffee table and TV unit from Wairau shop. We were in a hurry to buy because we are moving to a new place. When we went to pick up the furnitures, surprisingly, we got just two boxes to be assembled. The sales person didn't mention that furnitures need to be assembled. If he mentioned that before we buy, then we will never buy because we don't have time to assemble. Can buy cheaper price from online if I want to buy things that need to be assembled. I know the hassle that I have to go through if I want to return back, so I keep the goods. My tv is still on the floor :-(

Found a really good deal on recliners. Great service

Avoid, they take your money and don't bother contacting you afterwards. Two months after ordering a vanity table it is yet to arrive. 'There's been a factory fire'. Oh really? So why not send out an email to all the customers whose orders have been delayed? WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO RING YOU?

The service is pathetic and we will not be buying anything else from the Glenfield store, or any other Big Save Furniture store.

Quality furniture, ordered it on a Sunday afternoon and was ready for pick up 2 days later on Christmas eve

I can relate to some of the other reviews here, they've been 'tracking down' half of my order since before Christmas. They honestly just don't know where it is. Each time I call I get the same response that they'll find out by tomorrow and call me back. Not once have they.

Have been great, We got some amazing deals and the manager went above and beyond to help us get our table a chairs sorted once she did we were contacted promptly! Keep up the good work Big save!

We went shopping for a corner suite and found the nicest and best priced furniture in this store. Good service from the salesperson and although we had to wait five weeks it was delivered on time. We would come back again if we need anything again. I do recommend this store.

I've brought two bed based, they where unassembled with wrong wood cuts. Assembling the beds required Handyman with a set of tools.

I called in and ordered a single bed. The salesperson told me it will take 1-2 weeks for the furniture to arrive in store and delivered to my address. It has been a month, I have done full payment for the furniture and delivery ($799 for the bed + delivery fee) but I have not been told anything about where my furniture is.

Very very disappointed and very poor service. I have lost all trust from this company.

Staffs need further training on customer service and how to give full information.

Didn't find what I was looking for, but the store is nicely laid out and staff aren't irritating vultures like they are at many of these kinds of stores.

They lied to me about it being mostly assembled. They lied in the shop. They lied when I asked again on the phone before delivery. They said there is only a bit to do but it s really easy for one person. No it s not.

Good service, the saleswoman was very helpful and expedient. Would come back for the service.

Not worth the money although they called it big save

Giving Big Save the benefit of the doubt from our one trip there looking for bedroom furniture (dressers, end tables, etc). They only had two, maybe three sets available and the one that was actually decent quality was a very off white creamy colour that we just couldn't convince ourselves of. Otherwise the staff giving us a quoted sales weekend invoice for it to keep the price was nice albeit maybe a little unsure of what they had. If you're looking for seating though, they had lots of options for couches, chairs, and outdoor furniture.

Some prices are good but the management is dishonest.

Never going back. Very rude staff and took no interest in my concerns.

Prices are not that great on most items. "Big Save" certainly isn't a fitting or accurate name.

I found many identical or near identical items at competitors at better prices.

Gosh, where do I even start in this branch. The first product I bought didn t even last one year and I had to exert a lot of time and effort before I finally got a response from them! It wasn t explained to me that the lounge I bought before was probably not the best choice; if I was told that, then I would ve made a different choice.

Anyway, when the problem was sorted out and it was time to replace my couch, Yonathan was the only person that took time to explain and assist me with my purchase in store. He also gave me a pretty good deal with everything, so my overall shopping experience wasn t too bad. But I guess that s where it all ended.

Delivery was arranged to transfer a stock from Whangarei to Auckland and since it was already made, Yonathan told me that it shouldn t take too long to get it delivered. Item was picked up on Tuesday but one week later, no one got in touch. When I gave BSF a call they said that the item was already picked up but they didn t know where it was??? (Whangarei is 3 hours away!?) I persisted and kept being transferred to Glenfield store. Honestly, no one answers the phone in this store and it feels like they just wait until it goes to voicemail. Everything just went sour from here.

Finally Sandy (from Westgate branch) came to the rescue and sorted everything out for me! Thank heaven for her as she s the only one that went above and beyond her job to turn a very grumpy customer to a grateful one.

As for the quality of the lounge suite that we bought; while we were setting it all up, we noticed that there were shoe marks and white spots on the couches and one couch had a scratching/lint marks on it (not very obvious/noticeable but not expected from a brand new couch).... Now, I would bring this up again with BSF but it s honestly so exhausting and tiresome to get in touch and not hearing back from anyone. If I start finding more problems then maybe I will make a claim and I ll make sure that I will never buy from them again.

Oh and if BSF reads people s reviews, I strongly suggest you have a look at your AWFUL freight/logistics company because they are dragging your name through the mud, I tell you. Partner it with less than helpful sales people then I can absolutely guarantee you will lose a lot of customers.

The 2 stars for this branch is for Yonathan. Ask for him when you decide to shop for something at this branch.

Nice store. Friendly staff. Good range and reasonable prices. Unfortunately they didn't have what we were looking for.

Sales man went out if his way to get us a better deal

Ordered a couch early September and was told 8-10 weeks delivery, time has gone and couch arrived just over 3 months after the order was placed(I had to follow up a few times). The 5 year guarantee (eco care) we requested never arrived with the couch, a couple of contacts were made to Glenfield branch, however, 8 weeks later and we are still waiting. I would recommend to purchase elsewhere if you can. Once money is taken, you are pretty much forgotten.

Mattress is damaged. Very poor delivery updates failed to deliver on the agreed date.

Good choice and quality of furniture and friendly helpful staff

We were promised a double bed mattress before Christmas we paid on 22/12. Today we have gone to the Westgate store to pick one up. We were told ours was delivered to Westgate and they reordered it saying sorry won't be available until 29th Ours still had not arrived in Glenfield. I will never use this company again. Very very poor customer service.
