Excellent authentic German cuisine with the brew to back it up. Does not disappoint if you dont mind an authentic bier hall seating arrangement. Sometimes finding seating for you and your Honey may be difficult at peak times. Good food with NYC pricing. Be prepared. Oh, and you must order the pretzel!

Great selection of beer in a semi traditional beer hall feel. The sausages were very tasty, but bring cash for the grill. The beer list is a good mix of craft and German traditional beers. Lots of room inside an out.

Friendly, relaxing, great service (thanks M.J. ). Menu ranges from gourmet to casual. Affordable and well portioned. We came for the jazz and had a great time. Will go back for more. If you are into beer - this might be your undoing because of the variety and quality. Highlight: Coltrane's ""Impressions" by #ThreeSadCats
and seeing the size of the pretzels - yes they are gargantuan.

German beers make this worth the stop, but the food is not to great. Kielbasa taste like any Hillshire Farms or bought from a local grocery sausage. Fries were cold. Sauerkraut was good. The wait staff seemed like they wanted to be anywhere but helping my table. This is the kind of place that would be good if you are single and looking to find a place to hang out and maybe grab a bite while there. I have had better more authentic German from whole in the wall places. Beer made me give it 3 star.

Fan freaking tastic . Food is authentic German small menu easy to pick. The grill is cash only so have at least 40 on you if your buying for a group. Their burger Patty must be some 8 it 10oz biggin so I recommend. The beer menu is very extensive and can probably accommodate everyone but the gluten intolerant. Heavy light fruity hoppy . Community seating so make friends or just find a space. Be careful ordering the big mugs they look huge but they drain fast. The servers come around checking if people want drinks and food but flag them down if you need them. Some times live music. Multiple areas in the place it's bigger then it looks. Enjoy I love the place it's a go to when in the area.

I called the place on Tuesday 10/03/17 and asked do they have the seasonal shweinshaxe (pork nuckle) on their oktoberfest menu and they said yes come in from Wednesday to Sunday we have it, we went there tonight 10/04/17 Wednesday with 15 people from my work and I organized everything to take the people there, once we got there they said sorry we only have it on weekends but they have it on the menu aswell and there and on the website it says nothing about weekends, i was so shocked and disappointed because i called to make sure they have it, i had to take all 15 people from the work to some different place, i was so embarrassed!!!! Thx for nothing!!!! This place will never see me again and they are so overpriced!!!!! They really need to make up for this!!!!

Hands down this is one of the best outdoor/indoor casual atmospheres in Hoboken whether you are with your entire family or out with friends or a special someone. Great selection and rotation of draft and bottled beverages. The bratwurst platter served with fries and sauerkraut is one of the best grill items. The pretzel is always a favorite. Repeat customer, many times over!

Have been here here several acceptable times and the last time (8/2019) was a total disappointment. I totally fell for the chicken version of Wiener schnitzel would be an acceptable choice. I could not have been more wrong.

One of my favorite places in Hoboken to chill and have some snacks. Pretzels are great. During COVID, the pickup experience has been perfect. The employees take extra precautions and sanitizer what they touch and even offered me wipes for my credit card! If you're nearby please come support this business.

Great food. Great beer. Great atmosphere. It felt like the cast of Jersey Shore decided to film an episode in Austria. Only complaint was their need to show TV - not very Austrian. Waitress friendliness can also be hit or miss.

The Biergarten is one of a kind the theme of the place is from a different era, is like going back to the old days 1930s. The sausage, food from the kitchen is exceptional and that s not taking in consideration the wide selections of beers. During the week they have very appealing discounts for every budget, just check out the website and pay them a busy you won t regret it. Oh and there is street parking just feed the meter.

I ve been coming here since PILSENER HAUS opened, never disappointed! The food menu is as close to authentic as you can get and considering the volume of guests, most importantly it is delicious and consistent. In my experience the staff is attentive and prompt, they hustle during the bustle. Finally, I love to come here to sit with friends or make new ones, chat, drink, eat and never feel rushed to leave. Prosit to the PILSENER HAUS. See you again soon.

We met friends here for an adults only night out. The original plan was for us to meet at the Biergarten in Jersey City, but our friends like the Pilsner more, so that's where we went.
I can't tell you about the beers we sampled. I overindulged. The food, though, was great! I can't imagine much of it going along with summertime, but it was great in December--very comfort food. We started with the Bavarian pretzel, and it rocked. I could probably have just eaten that and been good to go, but I also got a Weisswurst, hoping to relive my time in Germany. It was excellent. It's a pretty cool system; for grill food, you just walk right up to the grill, though you can order other food from the menu via your server.

The atmosphere is pretty cool; you eat at a long table and it does feel European. It's a bit loud, so it's kind of hard to hear the people across the table.

I had a ton of fun at the Pilsner. The food was awesome, the atmosphere rocked, and the beer flowed!

Great place for a quick brunch. Not too many options on the menu keep it simple and easy to choose from. A VERY kid friendly place. Lots of young couples with little kids so you don't feel like you kid is the only noisy one.

great selection of beer, ciders, and spirits . . . food ain't bad either. Really good sausages, pretzels, and everything you'd expect at a biergarten. Large place to accommodate just about any size groups; but still fills up fast on weekends. Lots of fun.

Went on a Tuesday for the 50% Tuesday deal. Great selection of beer and decent food (pretzel was great, schnitzel was super dry and rubbery). Staff was very lax and seemed to just not want to be there. Lots of kids yelling and benches being used as a jungle gym.
Would probably come back on a weekend, wouldn t come for food.

Tuesday night in late July and the place was overflowing. Service was slow, but again it was jammed. The background music, this weird Euro lounge beat, felt foreign to the overall atmosphere. The beer list is admirable, and the menu is decent. We shared a pretzel which was pretty good. Cash paying customers receive a 50% percent discount.

Fun little biergarten with an outside area. Did and service leave a lot to be desired though.

Since I got a response from the owner, I'll elaborate so that they may improve.

We were part of a large group for a birthday and we arrived fairly early - I believe this was shortly after opening.
The waitress was nowhere to be found and she seemed to be ignoring our group and hiding away from it - I understand the challenges of catering to a large group and can empathize with her needing a break every once in a while, but I found myself constantly trying to find her for basics like water for the children and other small things.

On the food front, I had a burger and unfortunately it was very dry and overcooked - not sure if that was representative of the rest of the menu, but I can only speak about my own experience.

I hope this helps, it really it a cute place and with a few minor improvements can be a 5 star establishment - I wish management luck in fixing these issues.

If you want a beer and hotdogs at the same time, this is the place to go. Their grill menu is really good and food is made by order. Bratwurst sausage with fries is the way to go if u want something different than American hotdogs style. Service is great and love the decor inside, I always have a great time during the summer
