Bier Markt Don Mills Review

Very slow service, server forgot our orders twice and the beers on my flight were warm.

Glad they have one option for a vegan meal, wish they had some appatizers as well and especially at least 1 desert. If the VIP movie theater across the street can add one to their. Menu, surely you can too... It is 2019

A spacious place where you can have a comfortable and pleasant conversation.

This place is much more than meets the eye! You can have a nice, reasonably priced lunch here, served by friendly, knowledgeable staff.

I had the Chicken ABT Sandwich which I believe stands for Avocado, Bacon and Tomato. The sandwich was very messy to eat but tasted amazing. It also came with fries which were very disappointing. The fries were very soggy and there was no crunch to them at all. Service was overall good. Food came relatively fast even with a packed dinner service.

I took the burger for $20 and it was bland, we also had sea food pasta, and the noodles was sticking to each other and flavorful. Shame for the chiefs. However the beer selection was amazing.

Our experience was amazing. Our waitress was Bonnie and the service was the best I have ever had at any establishment anywhere.

Excellent selection of beers. I went with a group for lunch and they loved the Merchant Burger. I had the Steak & Frites and was very tasty. I would recommend. Just so many beers to try !!

Great casual place either for dinner or just sitting around the bar sampling their incredible beer selection. Over 30 taps and countless bottles make this a beer lovers dream place.
Food wise the mussels and frites are great. Mussels are done numerous ways here, so pick your favourite.
There can be a wait here, so give yourself some extra time.

Mantra restaurant is one of the best place to eat Indian food. Very good service and very good food.

I've been here a few times and only good things to say. I have only ever sat at the bar, but every time was fantastic. There is frequently live music, I huge selection of beers, and the staff (the bar staff at least) are phenomenal.

Been here twice. The food is exceptional. Service can be a missed if you're not lucky enough to get some one who knows their pairings. The classics are the way to go here.

Amazing place !! If u like beer, it s heaveeen! And even if u don t, their drink selection is pretty expandable. Their food is absolutely mind blowing!! Charcuterie boards are one of my favorite dishes to order!

I've been here a couple times and wait times and service are atrocious. The food is good but the menu is very small if you're looking for food. Wait staff will forget about you entirely making it so you'll have to order something multiple times and wait half an hour before it shows up. Definitely will not be returning.

OK service, very stupid manager ! Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 pm , seven customers, two on their cell phones, one on her computer, three having a conversation, one watching tv. Manager thought it would be a good idea to turn all tv's to a soccer game and turn up the volume. Left without eating or having more drinks. Site won't let me post minus stars.

We made a reservation for Bier Markt on a rainy Saturday and was seated on time. The staff was very friendly and atmosphere was great. I would have loved to give Bier Markt a higher rating except we were super disappointed with the food.

The aroma of the food smelled delicious but were immediately appalled by how awful the actual menus smelled. It was like they used some stinky towel to wipe them down. I actually couldn't concentrate on picking the dish because the stench was so strong. Very unappetizing start to the night. This wasn't a deal breaker of course, and I'm sure it's not like that all the time. Still a bit disturbed....

My partner ordered the 12 0z $35 NY steak and I ordered the Chicken Schnitzel. We asked for the steak to be medium, but it came almost 80-90% well done. The meat was dry and a bit tough to chew. There was almost no juice from the steak.

We've been to Austria before and had amazing Schnitzel so I didn't except it to come that close, but it honestly just tasted like a normal breaded chicken. It was too thick, a bit dry and the breading was nothing special. There was almost no butter taste to it. Usually the Schnitzels have a golden-y colour to it, but this was a deep brown.

For two dishes that were highlights on their menus, we were extremely underwhelmed. While portions were good in size, I don't think this makes up for the underwhelming flavour. It doesn't give me much trust in any of their other dishes if they can't get a steak done properly. Don't think I will be going back anytime soon.

Love this Bier Markt! Great selection of food from sandwiches to pizzas to schnitzels and even nachos. Tons of awesome Bier choices that can be hard to find elsewhere. 5 star service everytime I ve been. Will be back ASAP!!!

Good food, location, service and they have a live band. There is free parking, as well.

Always good food and service. They can accomodate different group sizes. Had a birthday here and it was well serviced. A good large selection of beer. The place isnt set out as cozy as the downtown ones but is just as inviting at the shops.

A great place to discover your favourite type of beer. The service is rather slow, but friendly.

I was very impressed by Bier Markt. I find a lot of the restaurants at Don Mills uninspired, but Bier Markt has a unique set of foods. The food was fantastic and portions were great. Laid back casual and uplifting vibe with awesome servers. Give it a try if you're in the area.

Great selection of beer, as you would expect, but also good service to help with choices both of drinks and some interesting shared plates

Went there for lunch on a weekday, we sat down at noon and our food didn't show up until almost 1pm. It took until 1:45 for us to get the bills and pay, we were just sitting there for at least 15 minutes and had to ask for the bill several times. Won't be going back.

The portions are huge and the food is very delicious.

Nice environment, staff were friendly. Excellent awl toon of beer and ales. Ways to improve is to just keep eyes on customers that look like they are ready to order and also the frites that day seemed to be a bit soggy. We tried two separate batches( we assumed two seperate ones as it had been about 25 minutes between orders).

I just wanted to take the time to acknowledge the great work happening at the Bier Market at Don Mills. It is a bit out of character for me to do this but when I was approached by management, I let her know the excellent work that our server Sydney was doing. She went the extra mile to make sure we had a great experience while dining at the establishment. We need more servers like Sydney who was very pleased to recommend meals and drinks that we would enjoy. Her attitude was very positive and upbeat. We were very happy and will return in the future. Thank you for a great evening.

Overall a nice place. Excellent for a date. Outstanding beer choices and the atmosphere is fantastic. Only reason why it's not five star is that it's a tad on the pricey side.

They didn t charge us one of our drinks because they made a mistake on of the bills.

I was here lastnight with a group of 13 people. We were there from 8:45 and Finally got the server to ask us for drinks at 9:30 pm . the service was awful. It wasnt even a busy night because of the Fight that was going on. Considering the prices they charge they should have better service.
Unfortunately i DID NOT have my reciept today to fill out the survery on their site but I want to let the management know that they need to improve their service. Everytime we ordered a new drinks it took the server 20 mins to bring.

I wont be going back....

We went here for my brother's birthday on Thursday. They have a great deal for $1 oysters and really enjoyed all the cocktails made with different beers. Everything was delicious!

Bier Markt is a great restaurant, it offers a large collection of beers. The food was great and came pretty fast, staff were friendly and the place was clean. Overall this Bier Markt is a great place to hang out with friends, it is definitely one of the best restaurants in Shops at Don Mills.

Food was fabulous, we had sekections from the brunch menu. Fantastic selection of beers as well! I had the Fat Tire.

Had a craft beer and market burger with the works while with work friends before Xmas holidays on a Sat nite. The craft beer (from Etobicoke) was good but the burger, though hearty, lacked the freshest of lettuce and tomato and cucumbers. Burger specialty places are much better.

My go to place for a good beer menu, and interesting cocktails. Recommend the Bacon and Brussels pizza!

Come here every now and then. If your vegan had their califlower curry steak with quinoa. Yummy!

Came here after an incredible experience at the downtown location. Safe to say, don t come here. Service took 20+ minutes to be offered drinks, and when food came they messed up ordered and forgot extras even after being reminded of the differences 3+ times. To top it all off, air conditioning was down way too low, the two adjacent tables also complained about it and we got no response. Terrible ambience for a dining experience.

I was there on a Friday night. They had live music -'uproar' I think was the band's name -.and the music was AMAZIN . It's really too bad the service here was terrible here. Worst service at a bier market I've ever had.

Stephanie is definitely a great person to have as your waitress , she has amazing customer service skills and recommended a delicious atlantic salmon dish that I really enjoyed. If you ever go to Bier Market ask for her to be your waitress!! Def will come back again!!

Polite staff, great service. As you can imagine, a huge selection of domestic and imported beers. Awesome place to hang out with your friends and leave feeling great.

Upscale hang out place. Only downside is that it s very expensive. And the dining chairs are very short and small.

First patio day of 2109 in Toronto. This area will be amazing when construction is complete.

They didn t have Old Fashion in their drink menu but when I asked, they made a really good one without hesitation. Very happy with the service

The burger here, is a work of art, if you are looking for one that has flavour, is a good size and just a overall good burger, get this one, make sure to add the egg. The ceasar salad was excellent as well.

I've been to a number of burger places around the city and this has been probably the best one, considering this restaurant isn't strictly a burger joint, I was pleasantly surprised.

One thing that gets me though, is the accessibility for disabled customers in wheelchairs. There is a ramp from the main area to the back part of the restaurant which is great, then you get to the bathroom and there is a sign on the wall saying "accessible" with a picture of a wheelchair.

But there's no way to open it! And to top that off, opening the door from the inside is equally as cumbersome if not worse. I'm not sure if they're planning on installing an automatic door, or what. But I'd hardly call it accessible.

I have visited this place recently, on a Saturday night, to celebrate my birthday. I called before and was told, that they can't make reservations, to walk in, as they have 2 patios. However, when I arrived there, I was told, that there is a wait list and I will have to wait 1 hour and a half. I only ended up waiting 1 hour.

A young couple, which was in front of us wait listing, went across to Taylor's Landing and were already seated and served their food within 40 minutes, while we still had to wait another 20 minutes.

There were tables available at Bier Markt, however I think, the kitchen was busy and short staffed, hence the long wait. I wanted to leave and forget about this restaurant, go somewhere else, however my companion wanted to try this particular restaurant that I chose, based on others reviews and pictures.

I guess everybody who goes to this restaurant, has a different experience and for me, this was not one of the best. I am also not in the business of underrating places I go to, I only tell the truth, based on my own experience I had at that place.

I had the pretzel with cheese sauce, as an appetizer, which was good. Ordered the pork schnitzel, which was huge. Took half of it at home. Tried ordering Stella Artois beer, since restaurant is Belgian, but was told, that they do not have it...

Kind of disappointing. Took the schnitzel home, one of my kids tried eating it and was told, that it tastes like rum. Son, who worked in the restaurant business, told me, that it is common practice to cook food in alcohol and is listed on the menu as %. I remember seeing that. Had no idea about it. Not happy with it.

I was also wondering afterwards, why I felt tipsy, as only had a beer and diet Pepsi. I am used eating French or Italian food, which have red wine added to their foods, however those foods were cooked. The rum was added to the mushrooms sauce, that tasted funny at the time of eating and which I sprinkled on the schnitzel I took home. My stomach also hurt afterwards, from whatever alcohol they put in my food, without being consulted or even informed.

Tried using their washrooms, an older gent was attempting to get into the ladies section, as names on doors were on French, for women and men.

Directed him to the men section and informed the waitress, that even if they want to keep names on French on washrooms, which was totally fine with me, the restaurant should post images with women and men, which are universal. Nobody can miss those. The waitress said, that she would pass the suggestion to the management, but was not sure, if they would do anything about it.

Would I come back here, after this experience? Probably not.

Food is great as well as the selection of beer being huge

My husband's office Christmas party was at the BIER Market, food was excellent and hot. Servers were efficient filling the drink orders and the food just kept coming. Recommend this venue for your office party needs.

Hayley was an awesome waitress. Gave great service and also excellent socially to our table of six. Was a joy. Hope she gets some recognition for the good job.

I love my Belgian Ales and this specific Bier Markt had all the best ones, including my favourite St. Bernardus! I will definitely be coming back here, the hostess was very nice and the service was immaculate. Great technicians in all aspects of food and service. Can't wait to bring my wife here!
