Best Western WaterFront Review

When I booked this hotel, I really wanted to like it. When we arrived and got our room was when the issues began...the electronic door would not open until you swiped 4 or 5 times. Then the room was made up yet there was dirt (yes, physical dirt) in the bathroom, under the sink behind the bowl, clearly not cleaned much less mopped. I picked up the phone to call the front desk...phone doesn't work. The lights behind the beds would turn on but could not be turned off. As I opened the curtains to the balcony, tones of spider webs. I promptly went down to the lobby, listed my issues and was told they were 'very worry's but there were no more rooms. No one came to clean.

Breakfast location is not very clean with an overpowering smell of fried food from the night before. Does not make for a 'delicious breakfast'.

The only good thing this hotel has going for it is the view, so I'll give it 2 stars.

In short, I would never book that hotel ever again. Buyer beware!!!

Booked a king size bed with a private balcony. We got a room with 2 queen size beds and a patio that was in the adjacent area of the attached restaurant so we could chat with people waiting in line apparently. Being that close to the restaurant must be the reason for the cockroaches in the room I'm guessing. When we asked about a room change, management said they had nothing available. We checked the website and according to that they did have king rooms with private balconies available. No compensation from the management. No apology. we left early and moved to a cleaner location. Not worth it here in my opinion.

Cob webs. Filthy vents. Woke up congested with my CPAP! NOT happy. Small momo rooms. Beautiful view on the waterfront, but the neighborhood is depressing in more ways than one.

Best Western needs to step it up or take their name off this property.

For the money and the area I wouldn't expect the floors to feel nasty. Slippery and slimy and just uncomfortable when getting out of the shower. Shower handle about to fall off. Girl at check in was very friendly and helpful when we arrived at 8pm and looking for a place to eat. Bar closes at 8 during the week and 9 on the weekends which to me is very earlier.
On the up side the view is amazing the beds are really comfortable along with the pillows.

This location is a bit of a disappointment, particularly for the price and promise of a river view.

First, this a shady part of town. Nothing to do about that, just set expectations.

The property is average for a mid grade hotel. Upon check-in, we were briefed about some sort of bug infestation like gnats or something. Maybe a Florida thing. These thing were covering our door at night, and a number of them did get in to our room. Probably nothing the hotel could do, but, again, set expectations accordingly since the room entries are outdoors.

Our room was clean and spacious on the 4th floor. The door did not seal well, and the bathroom had a Florida louvered window in it thus a fair amount of sound entered our room from the truck deliveries to the restaurant below, traffic noise, and from people in general.

We did indeed have a river view, with the unsightly rooftop in between our room and the river. The balcony was also very noisy.

Not horrible, but expensive for the amenities returned.

Price per waterfront stay, very good vs other name Hotels on the river. Hotel was well kept except for a few minor details, but for the price point very acceptable. Pool area well kept and stocked with towels. Modern dock for boats. On site restaurant and many other Name restaurants within 5 miles.

I would stay again. The staff were excellent. Our fire alarm started saying low battery, called the front desk the maintenance guy came and installed new batteries in it. After he left it started again saying low battery another maintenance guy came put in a new smoke alarm and it did the same thing. It was taken care of and the next day our lock on our door wouldn't accept our key card. Once again the maintenance guy came and had to change the battery on the lock. From that time on when the maintenance staff saw us they would joke with us about what had happened with our room. The housekeepers and kitchen staff were excellent in their jobs and visiting with us while doing their work. I recommend this place if you are looking for a ace that makes you feel welcomed and at home.

Great view, clean. Very friendly staff, helpful with recommendations. Great pool area and the pier is a wonderful touch. Parking lot setup a bit weird with the garbage areas from the restaurants. Not quite appealing as you drive in. Lots of bugs outside room door as it's Florida by the water.

We have stayed here several times before and have always had a great time and the best service. This time not so much. My husband's parents parents live in the area and so we have had reservations for over a month yet we were given a room on the ground floor without an ocean view and by the elevator. Needless to say we are extremely unhappy. We are doing work at our parents house and if we weren't too tired everyday to change rooms we would. Thus I am leaving an accurate review of this weeks stay. It has been horrible to say the least. If we reserve a room here again and this is the best they can do we will not only find somewhere else to stay, we will not be back. You had better check out which room they have reserved for you prior to staying there.
