Modern room and clean! On a busy intersection though so any really loud vehicle will be heard (I was on the 9th floor). Except for the noise level which is not really a big deal for me, Chateau Granville is a great place to stay at, really welcoming!

Low 3 stars. Dated. Good location and full balcony but you might want to jump once you see your room :).
No seriously, its what it cost. Its not a deal. The moat you should pay is 100$. At 150$ you better find another place.

WOW! This is amazing customer service. I booked my rooms months ago, and found a better deal closer to my date of stay, and Sunita gave me an even better deal than the one I found. I feel incredibly valued as a customer and really enjoyed my stay.

I enjoy staying at this property as they have an awesome suite with separate bedroom, so my son can go to bed early while I stay up. It's located very well on Granville, only a few blocks from Pacific Centre and both Canada Line and Expo Line skytrain. It's also got a bus stop right out front of the hotel. The concierge is the absolute best and always has great ideas. This is a great hotel for business or for staying to enjoy downtown Vancouver.

It was a clean hotel.
The room was spacious and very comfortable.

Because it is in the city, there is no problem with eating or procuring food.

Worst experience I have had staying at a hotel. We were treated horribly by the night staff. The hotel felt like a prison. Never have I had such a horrible experience staying downtown all these years.

My stay has been pleasant, but for the price of the rooms, compared to the less fancy best westerns it was a bit of a let down. I stayed in the executive king suite and boy was it rather small. The front desk staff are.... pleasent, though are a bit...cool?

Overall, I was disappointed, but it was still alright and right in the heart of downtown.

We have stayed here multiple times but this time takes the cake.
I was in town due to my son having 2 unpleasant tests on Monday and 2 drs appointments on Tuesday. We arrived on Sunday and had booked to stay in the uptown best western, but due to a clerical error on their side they refused to let us check in. So it's 10:40 at night on a Sunday and I have my 6 year old and my luggage and no where to go. I called Chateau Granville and by 11pm my son had his head on a pillow and a beautiful place to stay while going through all his tests. They went above and beyond what they needed to do to make sure we were taken care of and my son's medical visit would be a comfortable one.
Always our #1 place to stay .....location is great, rooms are beautiful but NOTHING beats how much they care

I was actually quite impressed with this Hotel, knowing it was a chain hotel I didn't have very high expectations about the room so I was blown away.

The rooms were huge compared to many of the more upscale hotels I've stayed at here in Downtown Vancouver. When I first walked into the living room I was expecting everything to be all in one room and wondered where the beds were and if we got ripped off but to my surprise there was a separate bedroom which was great. The living room was quite large and had a nice sized patio to go out on and view the city. Our view from the 5th floor was great so I can only imagine what a higher floor would look like.

The street level was quite noisy being that the hotel is located in the entertainment district but once we closed the window it was quiet enough. The hotel does provide earplugs located in the bedside table if you are a light sleeper.

Minutes away there are several restaurants and 5 minutes down Granville there is almost every fast food place to choose from if you don't feel like sit in dining.

This was a last minute decision to come here and stay over night so I searched through the best prices hotels and found Best Western was the best price for quality. We had booked two rooms and even that was cheaper than one night/one room at other places located nearby. After enjoying our stay here I really can't believe I've spent $500 per night at so called "5 star" hotels here in downtown Vancouver and had much worse experiences.

The only thing I could say that may come across as negative would be that the rooms felt slightly dated and the walls and beds could use an upgrade.
The mattress was a little stiff but it didn't bother me too much and the pillows were a very nice quality!

The room was very clean, not a spot of dust or grime to be found anywhere even in places you wouldn't normally check. Bathroom was cleaned well and stocked properly.

This was really a great deal and great stay, keep up the amazing work I will definitely come back here again when looking for an affordable accommodation.

Older hotel but well kept. Really good staff. Restaurant is also good, basic menu but the food is well prepared - large breakfast servings as well. Lower level parking is tight but it works. Overall, good value for the money as a budget hotel in the heart of downtown.

Excellent location, everything is very close walking or public transport. The staff is friendly, always attentive to help you, smiling. The price is high, but in Vancouver everything has a high price.

The staff is very friendly, the restaurant food is good although there are not many options for the lunch / dinner time.

The room perfectly covers the needs, although the internet is not very slow. And the sofa bed was not very comfortable anymore.

Nice sized room for the price. Spacious living area, bathroom wasn't artificially small, and it had a usable balcony. They could stand to give a little more room to the bedroom area but it was by no means a deal breaker.

I asked your Director where I should stay while attending a hockey game in Vancouver. He recommended your hotel. We were extremely pleased with his recommendation. The room was wonderful and very clean. The Edge lounge was perfect for us. The location was perfect as we were able to walk to the arena and back easily. I will definitely stay with you again when I come back.

The hotel is next to a busy part of Vancouver for night life. The staff and service was very good and always helpful. The rooms have had renovation but some bits felt old and out of place. The earplugs provided was a very welcome surprise if you travelling with someone who snores or generally a light sleeper. The hotel is next to a bus tour stop.

The staff helped in all aspects in hosting for our 39th Annual Hungarian Folkdance Festival. They were always around to help in many ways. It was a delight to stay within their Hotel, and we can't thank them enough.

Very friendly staff and nice decor. Really enjoyed our stay here & the beautiful view. The shampoo and conditioner were tiny, about the size of a lighter. This disappointed me, very wasteful single use plastic.

We arrived 6 hours prior to the scheduled arrival time and were offered a room instantly, staff was extremely helpful. We had gone for a late dinner downtown and when we arrived with leftovers we realized we didn't have forks, I walked down to the lobby to see if I could get one from the restaurant. The restaurant was closed but the hotel clerk told me to give him two minutes and he would go get me some himself. I was impressed with the bed and the cleanliness of the hotel. The gym was clean but rather small. The only complaint was that the drainage on the lavatory sink in room 901 is incredibly slow, I was scared of washing my hands to long as it built up slowly, me being a plumber this upset me as I know how easy it is to maintain a drain. Also the rent a movies are 10-11$ and are only available for 6 hours, which is pretty chincy. Regardless, the staff was very helpful and nice, we were able to postpone our departure 4 hours without any hesitation from the staff. For a 3 Star hotel it easily deserves a 5 from me due to the cleanliness, the staff and most importantly to me the great location. Next time I'm in Vancouver I will be no doubt coming back.

A guest not allowed upstairs after 11pm? Very disappointing and actually pretty ridiculous. A friend visiting the city who needed an extra suitcase for an early flight called me desperately begging me for a bag. I drive to the Best Western Plus Chateau Granville only to learn that because it was after 11pm I was not allowed upstairs. The cowardly security guard and woman from the back refused to let me up even after my friend staying there as their guest came down to get me.
In her explanation I felt like I wasn t good enough. She treated me like I was beneath them. I understand that safety should be a priority and agree 100% that being situated on the Granville strip certain precautions should be inflicted when necessary; however, this was not the case and the Best Western Plus Chateau made me feel like I was a criminal. I was unwelcome in the building that evening and I certainly don t ever feel comfortable stepping in there again. The looks she gave me and her tone were disappointing. I felt very racially profiled by the front desk staff.

Only giving this a third star because the hotel was updated and comfortable. That being said, don't stay here unless you have a car and are parking it at the hotel. The area is riddled with druggies and homeless people. I saw two people doing meth 50 yards away. In short, stay elsewhere.

Update: post the reply from the general manager of the hotel below. We were not there just on the weekend. Regardless of the fact that the area has gotten "better" it is still far from being inappropriate for families. I still would find something elsewhere as the only positive is the fact that The Templeton is really close and you can have a great breakfast. Also, further to the insulting reply, reducing the rating to 1 star.

I had no problems with my stay. The front desk was polite and quick. Parts of the room are outdated, but others have clearly been redone fairly recently. I had no noise problems my one night there either from the hotel or from the road. The Granville area is a bit odd, but it didn't feel sketchy to me at night. For the price, my room was great.

Large, comfortable beds, great views. Suites have a balcony, which comes in handy for smokers. Room service is on time and polite, and the food was hot and delicious. Hotel staff are all professional, polite, and top notch all the way. Will DEFINITELY be a 'go to' place when visiting Vancouver again.

Fine hotel with a fine location. One of the elevators was out which made navigation through all 15 floors a pain, especially because the hotel was almost full. Other than that the rooms were fine - they did have a great view of the city which was nice. The only real issue was the price which was very steep.

If you want a nice hotel in a nice location in downtown Vancouver, the Best Western Chateau Granville may be just right. We have stayed here many times, and it is close enough to walk to downtown shopping, and just a short stroll the other direction to enjoy the sites and sounds of Davie Street. We like the third floor suites, but if you want it to be quiet at night, ask for a room facing the back of the hotel. (Granville Street does have an interesting night life upon it.) Good value as compared to all of the other hotels in the downtown area. And very friendly and professional staff. Also secure underground parking.

Nice hotel but price for quality seemed quite high, but this is Vancouver and so price will be high. Area hotel is situated in is questionable as many homeless in the area as sleeping in the entries to businesses and even there late morning. Sex shop across the street and several hemp dispensaries on the same block, felt a little uncomfortable walking at night in the area.

Friendly, helpful staff made me feel welcome and were happy to take care of all my requests. The hotel is very clean. Bed was very comfortable, beautiful view of the city from my personal balcony. I felt safe and enjoyed my stay even though protocols were changed due to Covid pandemic. Banana bread included in bagged brekkie was delicious!
