Great place to stay, the staff is incredible. Everyone from the ladies at the front desk to the bar/restaurant staff are amazing. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Great location close to everything downtown.

Great location. Parking lot entrance is a bit confusing as it s located in back alley. If you are going to park then check in you need to buzz front desk for access. P1 is currently filled with all construction materials/equipment as they are doing major refresher at the moment. Plenty of parking below in P2 though. Parking is $16/day, which is good value for downtown.

Staff is excellent and warming.

I believe the room I stayed in has been renovated. It s not bad but some finishing touches are lacking. Overall, good for the age of the building though.

Washroom is stocked well. Water pressure is abysmal though. Temperature fluctuated between good, tolerable, and boiling during shower. Will have to change dial during shower to maintain temp.

All in all, clean/modern hotel with great staff and centralized location.

Great location in the downtown area. Room was spacious and clean when we arrived. Was able to check in early and they offered a crib for my child. They have some parking under the hotel but it does cost extra.

Extremely friendly staff. Great, clean facility. The room was awesome, bigger than we anticipated. Unfortunately, one of the kids got sick and we ended up needing new bedding around 2am. The guy who brought up replacements (I forget his name) was super quick and very nice. We were only there for one night, and we checked in super late, but I would absolutely recommend this place. It just minutes, walking distance, from shops and dining. Area seems a bit shady, but still a great location.

We booked here because the pictures of the room with a queen size bed looked nice, when we arrived and checked in the front lobby was nice. We went up to our room and we were disappointed as the room was small and the bed did not look or feel like a queen size, it seemed more like a double sized bed . The fridge and fan were loud at night and kept us awake since the fridge was in the same area as the bed. Also we were charged $20 for a parking spot but when we were asked if we needed parking the man at the front desk did not tell us parking was NOT INCLUDED , parking should be included as there is no street parking available in the area. . The parking lot is secured but the doors to get to the elevator were not automatic doors which made it extremely hard for us to get through as our hands were full of luggage. The rooms front door is not sound proof as we were woken in the morning by people talking and the cleaners vacuuming the hallways or the rooms around us. The view from the room was nice as we were on the 15th floor, and the room had good lighting, a decent size tv, and a desk, but I don t think it is worth the price.

The cons: heater is difficult, runs too hot even on lowest heat setting. Bathroom sink clogged. Not all outlets work, especially on the lamp. Parking garage gets too full, several cars parked outside of parking spots for several nights. Elevator always stops at lobby for no reason. The pros: TV works. Good shower water pressure.

Located right in downtown Vancouver, which is very walkable/bikeable. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Bed was a little firm and unfortunately the AC did not cool the room at all.

Clean, basic, easy. We have a room on the sixth floor with a main bedroom off of the main sitting room. The sitting room has a hide-a-bed couch, a nice work desk, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee machine, and a small safe for valuables.

It is perfect for my business partner and I on the conference trip we are on in Vancouver. One of the best parts is that we have a separate wireless router just for our room with a passphrase! It makes for a much better internet experience. It also feels slightly more secure than some open wireless network that everyone shares.

We stayed there for 3 nights. Not a safe neighbourhood for living with family. The hotel itself was alright The rooms are spacious and clean but looked and felt old. The housekeeping service was good.
they have a restaurant and provide room service .The parking was 17 dollars per night for that much price they could at least maintain the parking a little. It had a strong urine stench we felt disgusted even before checking in. The staff was friendly and professional.

Our original room had bed bugs. We let the front desk know and they changed our room right away, apologizing. They also gave us free parking and breakfast for the issue. I'd give it a 5 if the initial room didn't have bed bugs. Great location and very hospitable.

Nice place and central in the downtown area.
Accommodation is good, though a bit pricey. Fast Internet, comfortable rooms, except the ones facing the road, which come with considerable road noise.
Rooms are nest and we'll maintained, while staff are friendly.

I did requested a higher level floor with views to the city and I was given 3rd floor out of 15 and no views at all.
The rest food was good and the staff were nice and helpful.
The Concierge should have more options when a Customer is asking for something.

Please stay away folks as the staff is very rude and not willing to accommodate...When i think of bad service i always think of the Chateau
and have told lots of my friends outside of town to avoid that place.
Long story short i was asked ID with my wife and I as we came from a Hockey game. WHO THE HELL does that!? ...

Wonderful stay with family. This was a great location, hotel is well maintained and provides a nice restaurant for wonderful breakfast and dinner. Probably one of the best service hotels in Vancouver...from front desk, housekeeping, to waiters - service was incredible. Our room was well stocked/equipped with all the amenities and space was nice are large to accommodate all 4 of us. BTW...I don't like giving out 5 stars, even with nice staff...but for this stay...I really enjoyed everyone and notice how they treated their guests. Keep up the good hospitality.

Great hotel, centrally located. Reasonably quiet but still with that great city vibe. We were able to walk to some fantastic bars and restaurants during our stay. The highlight was the sliding door to a wide balcony with a well lit view.

Nice room, a few minor issues with noisy air conditioner, lamp not working. Love the room layout and view over Granville Street. Bed was pretty decent, slept well. Price was high and on top of that had to pay to park. Staff was very friendly and professional. Can't beat the location and that's why we have been staying here over the last 30 years (No acknowledgement of that, I guess they don't pay attention)

Went to the World Autism Festival here two years in a row. This year I brought the whole family and a service dog. We were treated like royalty at the hotel.

Though we had a couple of Access issues with the Service dog at surrounding businesses we did not have any issues with the hotel...mall......Fly Over Canada...Vancouver Look over tower....sky train... Museums...or Vancouver Taxi, Yellow Cab or Black Top cabs. All we very accepting of the Service dog which made life very easy for us traveling with two children with Autism.

First of all: One elevator is broken for over a week now, which is, in my opinion, not acceptable for a hotel that size. The rooms were big and the beds comfy, but the room and especially the size of the beds are not made for 5 people. The staff was helpful and polite. And the gym was good for a dezent workout.

Got there at 4pm, no long lines, check in was quick and came with free freshly baked cookies, an unexpected sweet treat especially for my kids waiting in the car. We stayed in a one bedroom suite on the 11th floor for one night when our flight got cancelled due to heavy snow fall. We got a nice view with balcony plus near the elevator for our convenience. The staff were professional and friendly. We came from another hotel/suite nearby. There was a big difference in parking price. It was more expensive to park here at $16 for overnight stay. It was double the price. It was nice to have an old but working refrigerator for leftovers. We were able to warm up our food in the microwave and made coffee before heading to the airport. Busy location but safe. Noise level was high on a Friday night but we were so tired from a long day and the comfortable bedding linens and pillows were a great compromise. We got a restful night before our flight. Not so sure why express check out was an option. The room was prepaid and my credit card was on file at check in but I was told that I could not do express check out so I had to stop by the desk at 4am to check out. Not a big deal but could be better. May consider coming back to stay again given a chance.

The room is large and tidy, the bed is moderately soft and comfortable. The location is very good, and the standards are very close to all over Vancouver. The only bad thing is that the new building is being built next door. It has already started at 7 o'clock in the morning and was awakened. I can't sleep at all.

Everything was expected and nice about this hotel. The location was excellent and though the rooms were somewhat dated they were extremely clean, the staff was also very nice. Be aware that people staying in the hotel are NOT ALLOWED ANY GUESTS AFTER 12AM, no exceptions. Not even one. I understand the need to keep the rooms quiet and make sure parties don't happen but not being able to bring up a single guest is a little ridiculous. Would I stay there again despite this? I would.

Beautiful hotel, great rooms! The area was quite sketchy...like people on meth walking around and a XXX store across the street. They call it "trendy" I call it scary. The hotel itself is amazing for the price, but not a location I'd walk around at night. Also, plan to pay $16 per day for parking in the underground garage.

Hotel, room, service were great. Not so great was the scary neighborhood (street people, tents, mentally ill) and prepare for $20/day extra for gated parking, but w/signs clearly stating valuables are not safe.

I have stayed at many of the downtown Vancouver hotels. This was a good first experience at this hotel. Good value for price. Clean comfortable room. Decent gym facility. Balcony with nice view. Room upgrade. Welcome package (water and snacks) and personalized welcome letter for elite member. Has underground parking for a fee that's relatively cheaper compared to other downtown hotels.

The location is about 10min walk to the downtown mall.

The only slight disappointment was I couldn't check in early (arrived about 2pm) despite being Diamond Select, so had to go out in the rain and come back after 4pm interrupting my original plan.

Stayed for the night of New Year's Eve. The clerks at the check in desk were very helpful and polite however I was unaware that there was a parking fee for me and my guest. I would have picked a different hotel had I known that. The lobby and the room were very nice and clean but the elevators are small and old. Besides being met with a little attitude when we asked for extra towels our stay was nice but it was definitely overpriced even for a holiday.

Great location, fast WiFi, clean rooms, and great service. Also, the toilet is super fancy with heated seat and bidet option! The shower was also pretty nice. Bed is a little firm but my hubby likes that.

We had breakfast at the restaurant- mushroom omelet with side of sausage. It was very tasty. And I liked that the eggs were free range.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Chate...

I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Chateau Granville. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Vancouver with easy access to Robson Street, Davie Street, and Yaletown. Transit options are nearby as are convenience stores and shopping is within walking distance.

The room was larger than other nearby properties and had a bathtub (which I like). Compared to nearby properties, the BW Chateau Granville is the best of those on Granville Street between Davie and Robson Streets.

My room on the 14th floor overlooked Granville Street; the balcony provided a great view. The queen bed was super comfortable and I slept very well.

The room had a mini-fridge, microwave (enclosed in a cabinet; I kept the door open when using, worried about the heat dispersion), and safe. Iron board and iron are included - nice!

Lighting was OK; desk lamp helped getting work done. There are plenty of outlets to recharge all my electronic devices.

TV cable is premium! Telus Optiks service provides multitudes of channels and the smart TV display was gorgeous.

My rating would be higher except for the location: the hotel is located in a less-than salubrious area of downtown Vancouver; the area on Granville Street between Davie Street and Robson Street. Travelers may see the less attractive but real aspects of urban Vancouver.

Overall, I rate my experience at the BW Chateau Granville 9/10 (no pool); location made my experience 5/10.
