BEST WESTERN PLUS Chateau Granville Review

Clean & comfy rooms, friendly staff. Located on the cusp of downtown and close to yaletown, south Granville and the westend.

While rooms were clean and staff helpful, the beds in our suite were in need of replacement. You rolled to the middle. Also location not the best. The streets were full of party people till all hours of the night. We didn't feel safe outside due to homeless and drug users who didn't mind shooting up right in front of you. I will definitely let our our travel agent know about our experience.

Hotel in clean nice to eat and have a drink in Hotel. Our room was quiet . Great location right down in the city close to sky train and shopping . Will be staying there next time in Vancouver.

Was not happy, location was good but room was over priced but what made it worse I booked on 26th June and they took all the money out of my credit card right away with no cancellation policy, which makes it hard if something goes wrong, and then when I checked in they took the full amount out of my credit card again!!! I was not happy, they asked me if I wanted to join best western club points, I said yes but once this happened through letter in bin, I stay in motels for work all the time and never known this to happen, will never stay there again

Very good experience only the hotel is located in an area of bars and restaurants and if there is some noise at night especially for the first levels of the hotel.

I was here for a business trip but I'd do it again for vacation. Best if you're wanting to party it up in the Granville area clubs and bars, but it's the cheapest 3 star in the area and would be great for a family vacation too.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our overnight trip to Vancouver to stay at the Best Western Chateau Granville. We had a suite with a beautiful view of the city. The suite was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. All of the staff who looked after us made us feel like VIPs! They obviously take pride in their jobs. We would definitely recommend a stay at the Chateau Granville.

The Best Western Chateau Granville is located close to downtown, and to the trendy Davie Street. It is an easy walk to many city attractions. The hotel offers suites, which we find very satisfying as we travel for both work and pleasure. The staff are a real asset, very professional and friendly, with a wealth of knowledge about things to do in Vancouver. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a mid-priced hotel, with a good location, and also a fine restaurant on the main floor.

Great location had been there a few times worked at Granville Island. Boat ride away. Great location to walk to/around Stanley park. Have drums on Tuesday night but a bottle of wine watch the fire engine an amazing time with the misses enjoy life. Also the staff at this location deal with lots of problems with some of the locals but they know how to handle situations and make guest feel safe no matter the problem they make sure your safe.

Excellent location! This hotel is a great option of you are looking for a centric hotel for a good rate, a clean property with good beds to be comfortable during your stay. Amenities in my room were in perfect condition, I was able to start my day having my morning coffee thanks to the keurig coffee maker in my room and coffee pods refilled daily during my stay, thank you!

Great location, comfy beds, and a legit little gym! Would definitely stay here again. Only 'thing' was that there wasn't anywhere to park temporarily while we checked in!

Great hotel stay. Staff were friendly & helpful, and the location is super convenient. I was very impressed with the size of the hotel room, which was also clean & comfortable. No issues with noise from the street either, which i had been concerned about. I would definitely stay there again, it was well worth the price.

Was fairly impressed with our stay here. Location is prime - right downtown. Yes the interior of the building is dated but the customer service was top notch, rooms were clean and room service was fast. They've also done a pretty good job noise proofing the rooms from the rest of the hotel, BUT NOT from the outside. We were on the 8th floor and we still could hear sirens and traffic through most of the night. If you're not used to that, it's something to keep in mind. Although I doubt any of the other older hotels downtown would be any better.

Very Comfortable beds and excellent, helpful staff! Restaurants and shopping are close by enough to walk.

I didn't actually stay here but was catching a shuttle bus at the hotel. As I waited for 45 minutes in the lobby I watched the staff's commitment to service in all interactions with guests. It was pretty impressive. As a retired service manager I always notice exceptional service.

I miss booked my room ... my fault ... I thought I was paying 330 for 2 nights ( sat & sun ) and instead I pushed the wrong button and booked for Friday .
I live 8 hours away ... when I arrived the front staff was like to bad so sad attitude and pretty much told me to beat it .
I checked my credit card to find out a additional $50 charge ... so I spent $380 for a room I never saw :(
It would have been nice if the front desk had maybe called to confirm my reservation etc ??
Or even offered any help for my situation ... very dissatisfied with the poor attitudes : (

Amazing staff! Very nice and eager to help.
The king size bed was so comfortable and very clean building overall. However, we could hear our upstairs neighbours taking their shower due to the floating ceilings. Besides that, would definitively stay there again because of location, staff and the price.

Clean suite. Somewhat noisy, mind you I was on the 3rd floor. Central location.

They put us above the bar/dance floor however the room was clean n comfy for 100.00 bucks. Worth it!

Everytime we go downtown I stay at this hotel, it is so nice and in a perfect location. The staff is great, rooms are beautiful. Theres a great restaurant just downstairs.

Great location right in the centre of downtown Vancouver. Decent food and service at the Edge restaurant in the hotel.

The rooms are large and very clean. Beds are comfortable. The view of Granville if you get the street side is always great. There is underground parking. The staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. There is a tour bus that stops right in front of the hotel. I always stay here when I go to Vancouver.

Stayed in a nice suite. Great service and loved the fact the they left a complimentary chocolate for you when you first check-in.

This hotel is fantastic. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great and the beds were really comfortable. You've gotta experience the Chateau Granville for yourself. You won't be disappointed. We hope to come back soon! Thanks for everything!

One of my favorite hotels in Vancouver. Its central location is great!

What a great place to stay and the perfect base from which to explore the wonders of Vancouver.
Stayed as a family of 5 (including a 5 month old baby) and can t fault the accommodation or the service.
Staff are friendly, approachable and engaging and the facilities are great.
Our room/suite suited our needs perfectly, with a large reception room giving the children a huge amount of space to unwind after a hard day exploring - comfy chairs and a sofa, big TV, fridge, coffee making facilities and a balcony offering great views over downtown Vancouver. Bathroom was adequate and bedroom with two beds and a cot still hand ample room to manoeuvre.
Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anybody to do the same.
In addition - the free cookies on the counter in the lobby are incredible and the adjoining restaurant offers one of the best breakfasts I ve ever had ( The Edge omelette).

Overall a good experience. Conference room was clean and the staff was excellent. A couple of things I would have liked to see is a hot breakfast and power outlets at each table.

Stayed there with a group of university students. The rooms are spacious and well laid out. Staff was friendly and accommodating. In particular the staff at the restaurant were absolutely wonderful to work with. Great location, though you should know ahead of time that it's not the quietest part of town.

Amazing rooms, great room service, lovely staff and incredible views from the balcony. I highly recommend staying here, the hotel is also surrounded by great attractions, with a hop on hop off bus stop next door.

This hotel is very neglected and the elevators are being dismantled, they deceived us with the 4 stars that mark

This hotel was clean and well-staffed. They went out of their way to meet our needs. The location was all-right. Even though there was a questionable shop across the street, it was not obtrusive.

My parents came in for my Wedding and stayed here. When my mom informed them of this they bumped her and my Dad up to a suite. It was such a nice thing to hear, and really appreciated.
The view was gorgeous, and they had everything they needed. Thank you!

Nice hotel but a bit dated (I was told that renovations are coming later this year to refresh the rooms). The service is nice, the exercise room is very well maintained and it is quite nice to have a balcony.

Great hotel and staff. One thing...they didn't set my wake up call and I was almost late to airport!!

Bar downstairs was okay. Decoration was very nice, service wasn't. The bar surface was sticky with spilled drinks, the bartenders weren't very attentive. When we asked for our bill we were given three wrong receipts for other guests before they brought us the correct bill.

Showed up to check in and they told my room was canceled and it was canceled by me so there would be no refund. Why would I cancel a room in which I traveled 4 hours to stay in? They booked another hotel for me across the street which at first I did appreciate but after walking into my room for 5 people I was very disappointed. It was small didn t have a microwave and only a very small fridge for food that we had bought before because we knew we would have a microwave a a decent sized fridge. All in all I would to have loved to stay at the Best Western but they have lost me as a customer.

Nice hotel. Rooms are small suites with a living room, bathroom and a bedroom. 9 suites per floor. 01 - 05 face Granville Street. 06 - 09 have less street noise.

close to everything! Our stay was fab! If you plan to go to Capilano suspension bridge, there is a free shuttle bus to take you there and back. just watch out for the timings, ask the desk for info.

This is an older hotel on Granville that has been nicely remodeled and also being left behind by all the new construction. The staff are very nice and profesional, and if the timing is right, you may get to hear a story or two.

It was a great experience. The under parking accesible, for future customers get the password access before if you can that will be ideal. The food at the lounge is great.

We are hotel snobs and were nervous about staying here. It was FANTASTIC! Large, VERY clean room. Nice staff. Not the Ritz for decor, but updated rooms.
Seriously short walking distance to Pacific Center and Robson. The area is not bad. Granville street is Granville street - 1 block to Seymour and a couple more to Yaletown - would stay here again and that says a lot as I am a Sutton Place, Pan Pacific kind of gal...oh no pool or jacuzzi (only downfall)
