BEST WESTERN PLUS Chateau Granville Review

Stayed a couple of nights, the location is good if you are used to busy traffic unlike me. Could use more plug points, and the WiFi needs a total facelift coz it never worked and even if it did, it was slower than a snow flake. The view from the balcony kept us alive during the course of our stay.

Great spacious suites. Friendly accommodating staff. Amazing location. Excellent shower pressure! Stayed there twice and this place is definitely my go to for next time.

Friendly staff. Excellent location. Within walking distance to shopping and food choices.

Not much to look at outside. Not the best neighbourhood. The conference room was decent.

Stayed six nights. Loved it up until we found bedbugs in our room on the last night. No apology from staff. No compensation. Have to go home and treat everything before taking it in the house. We have show dogs.
This won't be easy. Really disappointed. .

We stayed on the top floor for my wife's birthday weekend. The staff was great and friendly. Our only complaint is the elevator feels very old and my wife did not enjoy the trips up and down.

We were going to the rugby 7 s. The hotel was a short walk from BC place. The people were friendly, the parking was not outrageously priced, the rooms were good, the bedding was excellent. We use best western often and we will definitely stay here again. So convenient for so many vancouver events and close to lots of restaurants.

Room was large and clean, had 1 bedroom suite on 8th floor for one night stay. Booked on hotels tonight for a great rate and was pleased with the place. Front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. Old building so elevator and ice machine are old, but everything else had been updated. Lobby felt above its class and was quite nice. Also had open balcony which is nice. Would recommend.

I went there not as an overnight guest but visiting a friend. the rooms are very spacious and totally adequate. the building is showing it's age as you can see in the hallways and elevator and is due for a renovation. but, decent hotel nonetheless.

The room we stayed at was clean, interior design was nice. All the staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. They were able to get our room ready before our check-in time and quick, simple check-out procedure. Would definitely recommend friends and family to stay at BW Plus!

I was in Vancouver for a conference and found the experience that much more enjoyable due to the friendly and knowledgeable staff at the Chateau Granville. I would like to mention Ashley who helped me orientate my self in Vancouver and gave me some wonderful recommendations for restaurants and some local sight seeing. I will highly recommend this hotel to colleagues, friends, and family it is nice to see that excellent customer service still exists in Vancouver.

We stayed at this hotel for 7 days and our experience was very good. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. Because of the location right on Granville, there was easy access to transit or walking. Granville is very busy late at night, and this can be noisy, especially on weekends. That might be a consideration for some people.

Nice hotel , clean rooms, only problems in the parking , no camera's , no security nothing , somebody brokered my window car and takes my personal things , dryhair toothpaste , lotions , when I go to the front desk I'll explain everything , they say we're not responsible for nothing , is 350 for night .

House keeper was afraid of dog in room and would not service room. Spent 1300.00 for a 3 night stay. When I complained they just apologized. I never received room maid service, because I had a dog. I feel they should of waived my pet fee. Not going to return to this hotel.

The drinks were ok, but definitely not as good as the Shameful Tiki Room.

I did really enjoy the food though! I had the coconut prawns and the pork belly bao. The prawns were moist and not over done, and the sauce complimented the coconut crust nicely. The pork belly in the bao was melt in your mouth and some of the best I've had.

There are more private garden suites here that are fabulous!!

Clean, excellent service and decently appointed rooms for the price point. ONLY ISSUE is that it gets loud in this district at night. So, if you're a light sleeper beware. They do provide earplugs in the rooms for a reason...

We were in Vancouver for two days and out experience with Chateau Granville was al positive. The concierge was extremely helpful. The hotel is in a great location. Only a few minutes walk to many great places to eat and roughly a 20 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride to Sunset Beach. The room was large and we enjoyed the balcony after dinner. Would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Vancouver.

This hotel met our needs exactly. The separate bedroom allowed us to put our children to bed and still retire to a separate area to relax and watch tv. It was close to some of the main attractions we went to the area to see including Granville Island. We would definitely recommend a stay here, especially if travelling with young children.

Love the 2 room suites we usually stay in. Offers more privacy and room. Two tv's great no kids fighting over what to watch. Very satisfied with my stay everytime. Right downtown so can park car and walk, taxi or bus.

Hotel located in a great location, very friendly and efficient staff, clean and very spacious rooms with very comfortable bed.

Located in the heart of nightlife in Vancouver. The price was more affordable than other nearby hotels, but there were some amenties lacking. One of the two small elevators was not working during our visit and we were on the 14th floor. Wait wasn't too long, but somewhat inconvenient. Room was not ready when we first arrived and we had to wait an extra hour. Bed was comfortable and we really liked the view from our balcony. However the bathroom was dated and tiles and grout (and ceiling) could stand to be updated. Overall stay was ok and staff was pleasant.

Very over priced for what you get! Rooms need some updating, very disappointing. Staff in the lobby were super friendly though. I stayed at a BW+ in coquitlam and we stayed in a king room with a balcony, it was wonderful and they allowed smoking on the balcony as its outside of course. When we got to this one I was expecting the same standards, but no. The room was oddly layed out and run down looking with a tiny balcony that was no smoking or a 500$ charge! No breakfast and you have to pay for parking... For $230 I expected much better. Will not stay here again.

Ralph was very attentive to our needs and questions. Helped us with tips on local eateries and parking questions. This was before he realized we were elite members and he helped us with out perks. This shows he gives the same great service to all guests. Looking forward to the rest of our stay.

I stay in this hotel every time I go to Vancouver. Whether it's for a concert, couples get away or a family trip, this hotel is GREAT! Good location, clean rooms, comfortable beds, helpful & friendly staff, as well as a restaurant that has very good food. I can't say enough good about this hotel. Highly recommended!

Awesome Hotel! Food was good, room was perfect with the separate living room. Located right in the middle of everything downtown. Walking distance to the beaches, Yale Town for another eating experience & the Harbor. The Tiki Lounge Bartender "Dan" is amazing!

Hotel upgraded my room without asking. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Clean room and comfortable. Location was ok.

Staying here for 3 days before our cruise. Good location to everything. Theres a hop on hop off bus stop right outside here. Tons of places to eat and drink. Hotel itself is ok. Staff are all great . Very clean . We were unable to get anything but two double beds as they are busy here . Room is well appointed and plenty of space.

Ok location in Yaletown area. Some of the nearby shops are closed up but a few blocks walk is nicer area with lots of restaurants and shopping. Toilet in our room kept running, notified front desk in the morning but not fixed that day.

Prime location. Large rooms. Good breakfast (for purchase). Right on Granville near all the nightlife. Parking was easy (attached garage). Very comfortable beds, loved the pillows too.

Friendly staff, great room, breakfast was ok, but an extra Glass of juice would be changed. The shower water was cold in the morning.

We used the Granville Room for a luncheon presentation and the venue was spacious. The catering was nicely prepared and their wait staff were commendable.

Well appointed large rooms with wonderful views of the city's downtown. Location is ideal, you can find wonderful food and entertainment very nearby, it is central to the best parts of Vancouver.

Wonderful place to stay at located in a prime position to get to all of the natural attractions there in Vancouver. Also we were quite surprised that they gave us a free upgrade to a suite when we Checked in. Upon returning to Vancouver in the future I would definitely stay here again.
