Rooms:average hostel beds, not terrible though, lockers in the room are quite small so you can only keep your important valuables.

The showers and bathrooms were clean and plentiful, no problem there.

The breakfast wasn't a buffet like most hostels but I'd say it was better none the less.

The staff were very friendly and helpful

I got a 12 person mixed gender room. Feels like dorming again, to be honest... people here are very welcoming and friendly, everything is clean. Every person gets a locker big enough to toss a backpack into, just bring your own locks. Location is central with easy access to public transit but the city itself is very walkable. There are bike tours and cooking classes and other events going on. You can also buy breakfast, free tea and coffee the rest of the day.

Place to be! Absolutely great hostel, especially for solo travelers! Nice and clean accommodations, great people, cool deals, sauna, good breakfast ... This was my first trip alone and I met nice people from all over the world. I can only recommend the offered Stockholm bicycle tour. I will gladly come again!

The rooms are clean, there are several places where you can have a shower and a toilet, and the public space is very clean and well done. It was cleaner than most other hostels and the interior was beautiful and seemed to be better than any foreign hostels I have stayed in. However, the room is a little less beautiful and uncomfortable than other gorgeous interior spaces!

Really cool decor. Clean and mostly friendly staff. Be sure to check out the restaurant next door. They have amazing Swedish meatballs and for such a great price with the hostel discount card. Just wish it had an easier layout to find the toilets

The stay was very pleasant. The personnel was nice, the rooms where clean, the atmosphere was very good. The restaurant there is also very good. Definitely recommended!

The email with the code was not received at all on my phone for me to get in late. I proved to them it did not go to my spam folder and I spoke to another person who arrived days after me that he had the same problem. I called, Facebook messaged, and had my parents do the same in an attempt to get help from them, to no answer. I was unable to start doing this until midnight due to having no Internet access on the plane and with travelling. The reply saying I should have taken the initiative to get in touch therefore isn't fair at all. There is no problem with my phone emails, as another had this issue with a different phone than me.
I had to argue to get that night refunded as I didn't feel safe to leave the airport after midnight with nowhere I was securely able to go to, it seemed no one was at the hostel reception as they wouldn't answer the phone for an hour (well they didn't at all.) the following morning they emailed me to claim I was a no show, that they are charging me and cancelled the rest of my booking, so I had to spend more of my holiday stressed about this and defending that I did everything I could to try to get their help.

Great location, hospitable staff, very good quality in general for that price. Sauna, free WiFi, free coffee and tea are available. Definitely would recommend you to stay there.

Great hostel! Very well located (walking distance to main points of interest), very clean, staff is super friendly, and a really good atmosphere prevails. Lots of little things that make it a nice place (free pasta, free ice skates, free coffee, etc.)

Great hostel! Big rooms with comfortable beds, huge communal kitchen with free pasta! A large lounge to linger in the evening, sauna and plenty of showers! Everything was very clean and tidy! Breakfast was great too!

I get why it's recommended. It was a wonderful experience. The stairs to the baggage locker room was a little tricky. But amazing service, vibes and facilities. 10/10.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in anywhere. Super clean, Great community of travelers, good vibe, nice fairly well stocked kitchen(utensils, cutlery, pots/pans, not food) with tubs and fridges for you to store groceries in. Draws an awesome crowd of folks. Staff is great as well. It's not the sleekest or edgiest spot if that's what you're looking for. Only complaint I have is that there's only two single seater toilets, and only two shower cabins with no places inside to hang your clothes...small drawbacks though... and I stayed a week and never had to wait for showers or toilets. Somehow just worked out.

Really nice place for this money)) Very hospitable and friendly people on receiption, cleaning is done regulary, tea and Coffee is for free, free wi fi, great location (in the city center), not far from sightseeing. A bit dark rooms, because they are located in basement. Definitely recommended.

We have just got back from our weekend in Stockholm and wanted to thank City Backpackers! We spent 3 nights in the hostel and absolutely loved it. Staff was super nice, hostel was SUPER CLEAN ( we had our floors mopped twice a day) and we appreciated having those extra areas where could we chill. Hostel has a lot of events, we went on a pub crawl and had a lot of fun! Higly recommened.

There is always room for an improvement ( in case of this hostel, just a little bit though), we would appreciate to know in advance about the shoe policy so we could grab some inside shoes with us.

Excellent hostel. Organized, clean, well located, laundry facilities, fridge and cupboards in the kitchen to store food everything for a fair price. It has several bathrooms and bedrooms have individual passwords which gives more security to the guests.

Very well situated, this place is amazing. You'll find plenty of kind people visiting the city. All nationalities, possibility to rent bike and skateboard. Great place

I booked this place a few weeks ago without knowing that the flight I had bought was actually arriving a day later. I explained the mistakw i had made and asked to cancel my reservation and refund me but they said it was against their policy to refund me.

I saw friends staying, the atmosphere and the facilities were wonderful. The location is also in the city center and someone recommends you if you stay at a hostel in Stock.

Really great experience here. It may cost a bit more than some of the other hostels around but it is completely worth it. The rooms are comfortable and clean (though maybe a bit out of an IKEA catalog ;) ), and the kitchen facilities meant I didn't have to spend much on food out. The staff are friendly and helpful, and I met a number of interesting people here.

This hostel is awesome. It's in a nice spot in Stockholm, close to the city centre and to public transportation. Huge kitchen, nice rooms, cool staff, very secure.

As far as hostels go, this place is a good. Very clean and very friendly and helpful staff. They are happy to answer any questions and offer great advice about where to go. Like most hostels, it can be tough to get a restroom during the busy times, like in the morning and before bed. Never had to wait for a shower but we showered in the afternoon, which I recommend, the mornings can get busy. Beds were decent, I wish the rooms had more shelves. They do have 1 washer and 1 dryer, they re old and the dryer doesn t quite get the clothes completely dry, but it was free so no complaints. Can t beat the location, it s right downtown! All around this is a great affordable option in a city that is notoriously expensive.

A retro, funky hostel. They'd just started running a restaurant when I got there, which was nice. Good location, handy for a bus or train. Self service kitchens, and they do breakfast. Clean, no major issues to report.

Wifi is available, but in some of the rooms it doesn't work very well (thick walls). In any event, they have PC's should you need them or the wifi fail you.

I was a little noisy at times, but no worse than you'll get in any city centre hostel. Even then some of the rooms are still fairly quiet (the benefit of those thick walls!).

This was my first experience of a hostel and a learning curve, however adventurous. People from all over the globe and all were nice, with exception of 1 bad apple. Liked the neighborhood and adjacently convenient location to the city center. Would recommend trying this to add some adventure to your life.

What a great phone service. Perfect to get basic trust.
Then the SUPER reception and then this TOP LOCATION and original design, followed by a tour of the house. SAUNA included.

Youth hostel with a neat, nice and friendly decoration. Very good maintenance of the common rooms, all the comfort for this type of establishment. To try, the breakfast which is a killer! And to top it off, the staff are lovely. I recommend!

Great experience! You get free pasta in the kitchen, the beds are comfy and there's always interesting people to meet.

Very very nice place with large beds, a huge kitchen where you can cook. Their own cafe is also very beautiful, live music is made. The location was also excellent, very close to the airport train and very close to the conference room. It was the most comfortable holiday in my life.

One of the most awesome hostels I've ever been in!

The staff is friendly, helps you plan your trip and speaks perfect English. The coffee is good. The magazines and folders and everything lying around makes you feel at home, yet more adventurous and a little bit Swedish. The rooms are really nice and all the spots you can hang out at makes this hostel the place to go to!

The reason I subtract one star is because the toilet paper could really use an upgrade. Everything is so well arranged, why not spend a couple extra SEK on decent toilet paper?

I spent a great time in CBP! Great hostel with amazing stuff! I hope I'll be back in the future! :) I highly recommend it for everyone!

The dorm is clean, the kitchen has everything you need (except it has no oven), lots of fun fellow travellers, located close to central station and some big shopping streets. The breakfasts are nice as well! All in all it was a good place to stay our 3 nights.

I was just dropping off a friends there, the guy in the reception was speaking Portuguese so my Brazilian friend was really happy! I like the interior but there wasn't really a continuity to the stuff that was there.. But that's just me!

The location is excellent, it is easy to find and is a very good starting point to explore the most popular areas of the city. The cleanliness is quite good and the staff very attentive Fully recommended.

Really nice hostel, great location, incredible decoration. Free sauna and pasta for you to cook. Security in every room and staff is super friendly.

The only complain I have is that they charge for the bed linen and it is compulsory to rent it, so I don't get why not including it in the initial fee anyway.

Appart from that, I recommend this place for having a nice experience.

It was nice. Stayed in private dorm with 4 others. Plenty of room for us.

This is a very clean hostel. During our stay, we got free dinner (Monday), free coffee and tea after 11am and free luggage storage. We keep our luggages in the hostel after check out as our flight is at 8am.

I know it's a 2-star hostel but I would give this one or even two more stars. It's a perfect place, very cozy but not for shy people because people are everywhere the staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Probably the best hostel in the city

The place is secure and clean because everyone has their shoes off. There are activities in the hostel and there are restaurants, bars, and stores really close by so you'll always have something to do. Overall, a really great place especially for the price.

Awesome hostel for a very fair price: clean, well equipped kitchen, good bathrooms, nice people.
And the location is very good, as it is 5 minutes away from the central station (T-centralen).

This is my first hostel experience in Europe and a very great one too!

Location / Safety - easy to find, bus stops / metro and Central Station within minutes, very close to city center and other main attractions. Brightly lighted neighborhood felt very nice and safe! You enter buildings with codes (no keys!) and they change the main door codes daily, which made it convenient and safe!

Decor - Felt warm and comfortable the moment I stepped in (I visited early Dec). The lighting (warm white) and decor made the whole place + common area very cozy.

Staff - Staff was friendly and quick checking me in. The staff did advise me towels & linen were not included but rental fee was minimal, so it wasn't a problem. The gentlemen at the cafe was also friendly and courteous. Their early morning (4-5AM) staff was also very friendly. He greeted me while he was doing dishes and saw me.

Dorm Building Entrance - Upon check-in, you go out and enter right into the dorm building. Once you enter, you must take of your shoes! This Swedish custom was nice, as it kept the places clean (we, from HK, had same customs!). Shoe rack available for storage or you can keep them in your room. Free shoe spray available for use. This is also where you drop off your bed linens when you check-out.

Kitchen - This was first hostel in Europe (2nd in my life! - My first was in Denver USA, so my bar for hostel was set pretty low.) Learned a lot here haha. Kitchen is decent sized with 2 large tables and about 6-8 chairs per table. Two stoves and lots of mini-fridges for specific dorm rooms. Labels and pens were available for you to label dry and cold groceries. Free food available from guests that had just left. Like the other said, don't forget about the FREE pasta from the hostel!! This helps save $$ when you are cooking your own meals! Cooking oil, salt & pepper available for use (I found out not all hostels provide cooking oil!). Make sure you clean your dishes like you do at home as a courtesy for others, because not everyone did that and left cleaned dishes on the rack that still had food on them (or maybe that's how they do it at home?!).

Common Area - There were 2 common areas. The basement one had a lot of couches with a computer table at the center. Most if not all couches had built-in duo outlets. The one on the ground floor also had sofas and a TV. This area was usually quiet when I passed by, which was nice. Floors were pretty clean as most guests followed the rule to take off their shoes once they enter the building.

Dorm Room - My dorm room was a 12-bed mixed one. The guests including myself were fairly quiet. They were friendly in general. Clean and tidy. You pick your own bed. There were cabinets for you to lock your belongings. Unfortunately my lock was too small to fit. Locks are available for a small rental fee. Some people left their belongings out, so I did the same and left my bag with NON-valuables out. I kept the valuables with me at all times or hid them somewhere safe at night. There was an outlet and light for each bed, which was a dimmed light and was good for the people who had to wake up early, as a dim light affects the other guests less. Their comforter was extremely light, but surprisingly warm. Which brand is that??? Be careful of squeaky noise if you have the top bunk!

Bathroom / showers: I think I had used the wrong shower through my 2-day stay. The showers were always clean. They had a quite a few bathrooms but most of them do not have shelves for you to put toiletries. I just had them on the toilet tank or on the toilet paper holder.

The hostel had a sauna, which I brought my swim trunks for but did not have the chance to use!

The only recommendation I have is a bigger map, because the one on the card was a little small!

To conclude, my stay at City Backpackers was fabulous and they have made my trip very enjoyable. It is a very clean, safe, comfortable and friendly hostel! I will definitely stay with them when I visit Stockholm again in the future.

Dragons and snakes are mixed, and the quality of passengers is poor. Kitchen food was stolen. There are many small people, and the room for 4 people is loud and noisy by the living room. This quality is too expensive. The bed is easy to shake and sleeps badly. The sheets are counted and the movement is chaotic. The advantage is that there is a clean sauna near the station

Super Hostel! Large and well equipped rooms. A wonderful lounge that is great for meeting other people. The breakfast is cheap and good. I will definitely be there more often.

Honestly one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at in my life. The hostel is super clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer free coffee, tea, and pasta (you must provide your own sauce). I met a great group of people to go a pub crawl with and met a lot of people from around the world! The hostel provides discounts on two beers and Swedish meatballs at the cafe next door. Central location, if you are traveling by train, it is a ten minute walk from the central station. The hostel is also neatly decorated, which set a great vibe. Would definitely stay there again if I were to visit Stockholm!

Sadly a booking error made it impossible for us to stay the whole weekend there. But the staff was super cool, the people quite nice and respectful. The atmosphere is very homey and laid back. It was an all around great experience and I will be coming back.

My first real stay in a hostel, but it was a good experience. Takes some getting used to sleeping in a room with 12 beds of course, but it's a lot of fun meeting people from all over the world and everyone was friendly. The staff was also friendly and helpful and I'd stay again
