I stayed here a couple of years ago with friends to visit the city and we were very satisfied. In itself, the hostel is not very big but has all the conveniences that can be used. Our room had 6 beds divided into 3 bunk beds, each of which was at an adequate distance from each other to offer privacy and intimacy. The staff is very helpful, helped us often when we had doubts or when we needed advice on the city.
I highly recommend it!

Great kitchen--lots of utensils and very clean. Bunk beds are squeaky and the some of the showers and toilets are super cramped. But overall definitely the best hostel option in the city.

I sit in the lounge quietly, and the drunken guest comes to me and keeps racism, but when I go to the staff and call the police, what do you ask me for help? I can not help you, tomorrow talk to the manager or you go into the room. Only. I did not say a word that said sorry was so difficult.
And do not go in the winter. It's really scary, it's crazy cold. It is attached to a small radiator wall which is about 60 centimeters in a real six bed dormitory. I was wearing padding in the room because my toes froze and it was really cold.
Sauna There is such a thing and the atmosphere is young, When introducing at the first time It is good to be good, It is clean, and the location is good. There are many drunken people, and the reason why the price is cheap.
I love this hostel. It's roomy, clean, warm, and has the nicest staff. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is because it can be a bit cold around 5pm-9pm because the air conditioning.

Nice hostel. Lots of space and clean. However, no safety measures are taken at all to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus. While the number of people are reduced in the rooms (which is great) the common areas are packed, there is no social distancing and people drink lots of alcohol. So if you are concerned about Corona and want to be on the safe side ... I'd recommend not to stay there.
Great location great amenities and a superb value for money bar next door.
Helpful with directions and great vibe. Free pasta and cheap (for the city!) breakfast and snacks. Great communal areas and IT facilities. Free WiFi. Great location near old town.
Stayed here in '08 and again in summer of '16. The place has really grown, and not for the better. It is still a nice hostel but the multiple security codes for doors, room doors and luggage room that changes daily is an overkill! Another one of those hostels that asks for shoes to be removed; don't remember having to do that in '08. Seemed like everyone was glued to their phones or laptops in the common rooms this go round. Times do a change!
The staff is very nice, but when I was there recently they were severely understaffed. One person working the check-in desk. Also had a problem on check in, booked a 6 bed room and was shown the room only to find out that there were no free beds. Was then placed in an 8 bed room and refunded the price difference.
If this was my first and only staying here I would rate it "POOR", but with a much better prior experience I rate this place as average.
If I do come back to Stockholm I will look into some of the other hostel options first.
One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. The staff were friendly and helpful. The other guests were all great too. WiFi was super fast. One tiny issue is the need to remember heaps of codes to get into the place and then your room. I really recommend this place!
Conceniently located, clean, and with great staff. Breakfast is delicious and at a decent price.

I especially did not like it. Room without detergents on the carpet stain. You will be confused until you reach the room.

Totally brilliant. Really great set up, big rooms and shared areas, really clean, sociable, loads of things to do. One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Kayaking and cycling tours by Michael were awesome. Thanks for a great time guys!
Excellent hostel, spacious, clean and very nice people.
Very clean and tidy hostel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room's have a bunker feel to them but it's done in such a nice way, with white walls and floors, and big open floor space, that it feels comfortable and safe rather than causing a claustrophobic feel. Very good location in the city centre as well!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at City Backpackers. It is extremely close to the metro/train/bus but enough out of the way that it isn t a distraction. The lobby is cozy and the private showers are some of the best I ve seen available at a hostel. I certainly recommend staying here.
Stayed for one night in a 8 person mixed room. Great staff, location, dorm, common areas and bathrooms. Very clean hostel, highly recommended!
