Unfortunately had awful food....the roast pots were underdone (almost raw) and the meat was full of fat.....pretty poor all round

Open when I needed, friendly staff, they deserve more business, difficult for a country pub. Please support them!

Perfect pub for a Sunday afternoon. Open fire, hearty, well cooked food. Friendly service. Prices standard. Will gladly go back.

Had a great stay at The Berwick Inn last night. Staff were superbly attentive and the room was spotless and quintessentially 'country pub'.
We would stay again and look forward to dinner in their many garden areas very soon!

Excellent food, warm, cheery environment with clean updated restrooms (always a plus). We had Fish and Chips and Vegetarian Wellington (inCReDiBLe). Salad was super fresh too. Loved it!

Return visit and usual good welcome. Menu tweaked a bit same burgers the best around. The Trio of Pork is a masterpiece presentation superb but the textures flavours and taste out of this world! Don't miss out we will be back soon to try the other delights on the new menu. Martin

Fantastic service today. While having an unexpected disturbance of enjoying our roast, the waitress removed 2 of our meals to keep them warm. On our return some 20 mins later we were rewarded with 2 completely new lunches. Excellent, friendly, welcoming service.

Food was standard pub food. Nothing special. Kids menu was good. Garden was nice. But we went there for the toddlers playground and it was woeful. Overgrown with thick thorny weeds in parts, A large wooden fence knocked over. Play equipment was rusty old and some of it broken. Plastic building blocks broken and dangerous. See pics.

Lovely place with friendly helpful staff, superb food and what look to be a great selection of gins and tonics and local beers. Right by the station and with rear car park. Will be back!

I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews about timing issues and using a Groupon voucher but my friends andI had a fantastic time. We were able to choose where we sat, service was prompt and all of the staff were very friendly. I will definitively be visiting again.

Nice pub, lovely garden. Food is expensive. I had a vegetarian Sunday lunch. Veg and potatoes nice, mushroom wellington pretty bad. Staff were friendly and polite.

Absolutely superb, went in after a walk around Arlington reservoir, all the staff very friendly and welcoming, we did not eat but the food coming out looked superb, massive choice of gins, we will certainly book to eat there soon, thank you all made our day.

Too few staff, one girl running bar and serving food.gin and tonic too much ice too much cucumber, should not put all tonic in,could not taste gin only cucumber.

I have been to this place many times over the years even when I was only a little boy as my parents took me n my sisters there but as I got older I have been a number of times with my mates and I have to say that the staff were fantastic really friendly and helpful the food was excellent and I will definitely be going back again over this summer as its worth it.

Above average food but very long wait - had to ask several times for cutlery, condiments etc

4 adults had Excellent food ,great service,enjoyed our evening 23/2/19. Lovely old pub. Open fireplace which was lit so nice cosy. Great garden area for eating plus small play area for children. Good size car park.Will return soon.

What a wonderful evening... David and Aaron were fabulous considering that they were understaffed and a unexpected full house. They were both very attentive and the food was well above average for a pub.
I had the baked camembert with an amazing apple and onion chutney and hubby had the homemade butternut squash soup and then for mainly we both had the pan seared seabass and new potatoes and vegetables... bellissimo. Would definitely recommend hence the star review

My absolute favourite place to eat and drink in East Sussex ; highly recommend.

My daughter bought us a Groupon 2 course meal for two for Xmas, which just used. I wasn t expecting much due to previous bad experiences with Groupon meal deals. However I was completely wrong, the meal we had was top drawer. We had steak pie and it was just amazing. The desserts surpassed expectation too. Service was 5 star from helpful and attentive staff. Highly recommend

Was all good, food n service, until they "forgot" about us for 45 minutes waiting for a dessert that was never going to arrive.

We visited on a cold January evening, and it was very warm and cosy inside. The staff were so friendly, they have a chat with you and cater to all your needs. The food was amazing, I ordered beer battered cod and chips. The batter was light and crispy, the fish was fresh, and the chips were delicious and homemade.

Romantic setting, someone has put lot of work into this pub.

Excellent food lovely quality cider and very good service would thoroughly recommend a visit.

If you buy a Groupon for this place they make you book on line only through Groupon and will not accept a booking direct to The Berwick Inn. They also make you feel like a second class customer if you are using a Groupon!!!!!

Went to The Barwick Inn on Tuesday evening it was not very busy so we got serverd quite quickly good choice of starters, and mains . The food was very good & so was the service would recommend

Lovely pub with excellent beer, super service and tasty food. Took the family here for my Mum's birthday and everyone loved it. The kitchen staff were also very accommodating with adapting vegan options on the menu.Will be going back.

Lovely country pub right next to the station on the Brighton Hastings line. Fantastic food terrific service and fine selection of ales and spirits. Well worth a visit.

The Berwick is just a fantastic place. Great food the owner is great and there are many events that we have had the pleasure to go too. Beautiful surroundings and great hospitality.
Oh the views of the South Downs in the garden is just immense. Highly Recommended

We had absolutely lovely food here set in a relaxing environment next to the fire. My girlfriend is vegan and my Mother is lactose intolerant and they catered for both of them nothing was to much trouble. The best part of the night though was the waiter Alex, in twenty years of eating out we have never had such Great service really made us feel special!

Went for the first time in years today only a few days after reopening from covid. They were very well organised for service, very attentive, food was great and everything arrived swiftly. To top it all off we got to experience it in the great Sussex sunshine.

Fabulous welcome to the new Covid compliant pub. We were seated in the garden by the innovative outside bar area and easy queuing system. As usual the staff were their normal energetic selves and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. I wish them all the best in these uncertain times as they deserve a secure future.

Great place, food was incredable, I would highly recommend it
