Refused to remove my paid debt from 2015 off my credit report, they stated I had to call the original creditor and request that they request it be removed, this is the first time I've ever encountered this process and it's ridiculous and inconvenient. The associate I talked to was rude as well, not everyone is calling angry over a debt and common polite courtesy goes a long way.

One thing to remember is that you do not have to talk to them. Tell them one time, do not call me again, anywhere or anytime. Get credit karma and dispute anything they put on your credit bureau. File complaints with the consumer financial protection bureau. Record all phone calls. Dispute the debt in writing. If they threaten you to sue you, ask them if they truly have that intent and are authorized to initiate a law suit, if they do, call a lawyer. Note: Unless they are an licensed attorney, they cannot sue you and have misinformed you (broke the law). Ask them if they are lawyers, do they have lawyers on staff? If so what is the bar number? If the debt collector raises their voice, talks about lawsuits, advises that you are breaking the law or they quote law to you as if they are telling you what will happen etc, file a complaint or call a lawyer. There are many ways to expose liability as the government has laws and agencies to protect you. If you inform them not to call you again, and they do. Call a lawyer. If they garnish your account, appeal the garnishment. You can retain a lawyer if you can afford or many courts will provide you the form to fill out to dispute the garnishment. Speak with legal aide. Also, filing bankruptcy is an option if dealing with a very large debt, filing puts a 90 day freeze on collection activity. These companies are powerless and are held to a high standard by the government, if they make one small mistake, call a lawyer.
They are unprofessional, do not read the notes on their computers regarding an account. They hang up on payers frequently. How is a debtor supposed to pay the debt WHEN THEY MAKE IT SO DIFFICULT?
Paid my debt directly too them. In July. Continued to be hounded by them for months. On one occasion I CALLED THEM to sort it out and one woman had to audacity to threaten me that if I dont pay soon they could take me to court and sue me! I already paid. I already told her that. And I'm the one calling to fix your mistake. But you think you can threaten me? Not to mention I've tried faxing evidence of paying them 3 times as every fax I send is denied!
Dude I talked to was chill, he sent me a lteer stating my debt was paid when I was pressed to get an apartment but had to have something in writing stating I had it paid off
I missed a call form a 1-800 number, went to return it and it went into a call center for Berlin-Wheeler. Agent that answered said she needed to verify a couple of things before she can give me any information, which she did. But at the end she ended not giving me any at all, put to top it OFF, she just hanged up the call on me..
GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE should NEVER < EVER do that , this call center should hire NEW people....
