BCF is insanely terrible at filling prescriptions....

BCF is insanely terrible at filling prescriptions. Every time-and I sincerely mean every time- that I attempt to fill a prescription, it requires a minimum of 3 phone calls. Each time I contact an employee, it is a new experience with a new set of rules. I've now resorted to beginning each phone call as if I am training the for their job because they typically begin the call with an attitude and by the end of the call, they're now schooled on how BCF operates. When I've needed to escalate to management, they're even more abrasive-although there was one gentleman with sense who admitted his colleagues are morons and easily fixed an issue that I was battling for OVER A WEEK. Morons. I don't use that word lightly but that is who seems to work at BCF. Unfortunately, they do seem to have more medications available that the US government is with-holding from Americans, so that is one nice thing I can say about them. However, the time and aggravation getting the medication is not worth it. MORONS.

Every time I call I get a HUMAN! That is unheard of nowadays! My pharmacist told me that they all love dealing with Benecard because they never get the run around other places give them. Thanks for the great service! Highly recommended!!!

The BeneCard call center was extremely helpful when I was at the Pharmacy without my insurance card. They provided me the information I needed quickly. The best part is the call center is open 24 hours! I appreciate you being there for me when I needed you.

Great customer service! They are open 24 hours and...

Great customer service! They are open 24 hours and on holidays and I can always talking to a live person and not an automated service. They make me feel like they care and aren t trying to rush me off the phone. The mail order is also very easy to use and quick.

My employer switched to this god awful company on ...

My employer switched to this god awful company on July 1st. I immediately contacted all of my physicians (in the middle of a pandemic mind you) and they submitted my medications to this new company. Two of my long term prescriptions were denied coverage. Both were covered by my previous benefits company. One they claim is now OTC, however my dr prefers the prescribed version. The other is a specialty medicine for my autoimmune disease. After 2 weeks, multiple phone calls, and finally a pleasing phone call from my drs office, it was approved. The worst part, they require the same pre-authorization process every year despite the fact that I have been taking this medication for 5 years.

TERRIBLE COMPANY!!! My wife is diabetic and pregnant and they have caused so much trouble constantly denying medications and requiring paperwork from doctors that takes 5 days to even review. We end up paying out of pocket for much needed medications. We have considered getting a lawyer at this point. I will be taking to the union to see if we can drop them next contract. As another review said, THE GOOD REVIEWS MUST BE FROM EMPLOYEES! If you have any decision making authority in your organization DONT CHOOSE THEM! Never had these problems with any other insurance. I actually recorded calls where I request a supervisor and one is NEVER able to talk and they say you can t hold and they NEVER EVEN CALL YOU BACK!!!

As someone that is very health conscious it is important to me that I have the best service possible when it comes to prescription medication. The best service is exactly what I get when dealing with Benecard PBF. It is refreshing dealing with a company that truly wants the best for each and every member. I am comforted knowing that, when it comes to prescriptions, my health is in the best hands possible. Benecard cares and it shows!

Beware of the reviews you read. Many are from employees that were solicited by management to write reviews. This is not a place to work for if you are not a yes person and not a family like atmosphere. The pharmacy staff are awesome that is the only good thing I can say.

I have just started using Benecard for my specialty medication. I have had amazing service from the Drug Assistance Program. I found them to be very helpful and she noticed I wasn't in the right section and fixed everything for me. I have appreciated when I order my Med that they can tell me exactly what day I will get them,and sure enough I receive them on that day. Everyone I have spoken to has been so nice. I appreciate everyone especially when I have never done mail order before.

They will make you work for your prescriptions. Every time my dr writes a prescription it has to go through clinical review One medication was for seizures. I asked why do I have to wait 3-5 business days to get this filled? It needs to go through clinical review And so I ask what that means. It means we need to know that your doctor feels that you need it. My reply why did he write the prescription if I didn t need it ? Terrible, terrible. I spoke to my boss about changing to some other prescription plan because Benecard is not cheap. My boss tells me he had the same problem as me with the amount of clinical reviews They do it so you throw in the towel and give the pharmacist your own cash. So many more options out there. It s either clinical review or preauthorization, preauthorization, preauthorization Why? $$$ No other reason.

I've been on the same medication for 33 years. My Doctor raised my dose by 10mg and you would think I needed a Secret Service clearance! Do they not want to pay their member's benefits? Then they make the medication "mail order only" with NO automated refill service, so now I can't go pick up my meds at Rite Aid and I have to call it in myself! I've had to call this place over 5 times just to get everything in order!
I will say that the reps handling each call were very helpful and got the job done. They are five star staff and should be commended for their service.
I just find it strange that a prescription drug plan can question your Doctor's orders!
That can't be legal! If I ever end up not getting my meds and have to be hospitalized, I will sue this outfit's socks off. Horrible company!! Express Scripts was 100% better. I'm hoping my husband's next contract will bring Express Scripts back! We need to dump this BS company!

BeneCard has been my PBM for the past 3 years, and...

BeneCard has been my PBM for the past 3 years, and I have not had unpleasant experience so far. From handling all of the Prior Authorizations, having nurse consults to make sure I know how to administer medications I was using, to dispensing and delivering medications in a timely manner. Member portal and Mobile App that gives me access to my plan information is really convenient and allows me to get refill reminders, email notifications that I receive whenever there is a change on my request for Prior Authorization and really saves me time because I dont have to call in to check on status-if there is a change I get notified. I am very satisfied with all the services BeneCard is providing to me as a member. Kepp up a good work!

I've worked with a number of specialty pharmacies ...

I've worked with a number of specialty pharmacies and prescription benefits coordinators over the years and Benecard PBF is consistently an example how much and how terribly our healthcare system can fail patients.

The phone reps are largely very nice. Scheduling standard refilled shipments is easy, but in any other situation the entire communication chain collapses. It feels like there's a large and opaque system in place to make navigating receiving medicine as difficult as possible.

They've left me stuck without medicine that I need to stay healthy on more than one occasion. They're widely known for being difficult to deal with and incompetent at my doctor's office, and I can't wait until I change insurance providers.

Update: Since leaving this review, I've been contacted by a supervisor who resolved the issue immediately. For some reason, the information that they required from my doctor was no longer required. I asked how they found out about my issue, and they said they have employees (the specific word used was "department," which is hilarious) to monitor Google reviews and social media.

Why can't those resources be allocated towards more effectively contacting doctor's offices or communicating issues with claims to patients? Why do I have to be mean online to get healthcare?

Not sure why this is showing under my mom s name. My name is Marianne Wolfe. If I could give BeneCard zero stars I would. They have been a problem since I received their insurance a couple years ago and are a head ache for the doctors I am under the care of. They keep providers on hold for pre authorizations forever and continuously make all involved jump through hoops to get medicine.
This week I took a half day of work as I was supposed to get my medicine delivered. I remembered that morning that I never received a tracking number so I called. Here they had an issue with a savings card I have and I was not informed that the medicine would be delivered the next day. This is unacceptable and I really do not feel anyone thought that this was in anyway wrong. Later that day I was called from the same person with two different tracking numbers and a third person called me to tell me a tracking number. The third person gave me the tracking number I was previously told was the wrong one. She informed me it was for the medicine that was supposed to be delivered the previous day. I simply responded well there was never a tracking number for that medicine. Here they gave me another persons tracking number whose medicine was on its ways to another part of Pennsylvania. They have no idea what they put their members and providers through and personally do not care.

I've never been there, but the mail order is pretty good. In fact the next day delivery is excellent. I've sent it to my home and to work also with no issues. The only issue I have is that you can't order refills a little bit earlier. It would help especially if your going out of town on vacation.

Very pleased that a company like Benecard PBF has my best interest in mind when it comes to reviewing my medications to make sure they are safe and effective for my condition. This is one less thing for me to worry about. They are very timely in taking care of any clinical reviews that need completed. Plus, I love speaking to a person when I call instead of a menu system. Couldn't be more pleased with my prescription benefit manager!

My experience from day 1 has been great! Training is thorough, the company invests in their employees, clearly communicates the mantra & mission, and welcomes you to the team! Hands down, this is the best workplace culture I have experienced. They are collaborative, transparent, give back to the employees and my absolute favorite.. promote from within (which was part of the reason the company appealed to me )! Management is professional, caring, and takes time to mentor and develop their team by having weekly or daily touch points. There is ongoing effort to constantly improve and be better for our clients, employees, and community! I was having some difficulties with Benecard PBF and one of the associates just called and the associate there straightened everything out (her name was Robyn) and it seems it was a prescription shortage in the amount the doctor wrote for the "year". Thank you Robyn for helping the situation and telling me what I need to tell my doc.!!! She has taken the time to really make sure my son has the medications that he needs and that he will not run out. #theydoworkwithus!!! Benecard has continued to check back in with me to make sure we have received our meds after the mishap. Thank you... Worry Free!!!!

I've been a member with Benecard for over a year a...

I've been a member with Benecard for over a year and it has awesome. They are open 24/7 so if you ever need help or have questions, you can call, no matter the time. From personal experience with other mail order pharmacies, I can say that Benecard is by far the greatest one. They always put their members first and everyone you speak to is always very nice. It is a wonderful company inside and out. Everyone should definitely use Benecard, you won't regret it. :)
