Loved every part of the tram ride loved going around Bendigo and seeing all the sites after the mine and had a friendly driver who was funny and kind. I learnt alot of history and information about the area and information about the past of the town.

Enjoyment from my two girls aged 3 and 6. They liked the tram experience from 2 different trams as well as not needing to stay on the same tram but to wait longer and have a look around at some stops.

The only other place I've seen trams like this is obviously the Melbourne circle route... Because these guys maintain those trams
Very knowledgeable team, my only criticism is that it is hard to hear the talking above the noise of the tram!

The talking tram tour was excellent, however when we went to the depot, a lot of the trans were inaccessible, presumably for maintenance. I am not going to complain, however, as it is good to see that the people look after the heritage trams and also in a previous visit, we had been able to see all of them up close and it was wonderful! Another bonus of the place is that you are able to climb aboard the trams and pretend to drive them (or just be a passenger), if you so desire.

Friendly staff, great first experience on a tram, informative guide (recorded). Ride was quite rough which is to be expected but I feel the need to share such insight for those that might be negatively affected. The recorded guide information could of been more engaging if spoken by the driver, bendigo is an amazing place to visit with plenty to see and the trams make it possible to leave the car for day.

The tram runs through the centre of the city of Bendigo and to other areas relatively close to the city centre. The old trams are beautiful and are well maintained to exacting standards. I think they are staffed by volunteers who are really enthusiastic and keen to explain the history of the trams to visitors. The service runs regularly to and from the old gold mine but may be curtailed if there is a declared severe hot weather today, which happened on the day of our visit when the temperature reached 45C. The afternoon services were abandoned that day so I suggest don't plan a trip if there is likely to be a severe heat issue.

A visit to Bedigo is not complete without a ride on the Talking tram. This should also include getting off at the car barn and looking at all the great work being done there. It looks like a well organised facility staffed by an energetic bunch of artisans.

Some lovely vintage trams here. You can wander around parts of the place. Has some interesting hostorical information about the trams. Nice friendly staff at the cafe / gift shop. A cute feline mascot wandering around the place. Stopped off here for a half hour as part of a vintage tram ride.

First trip from the gold mine to the tram depot was interesting and Tram ride was pretty pleasant. The tram operator stopped numerous times to show us things and explain them. The ride back however from depot to gold mine was terrible. Steve went full steam ahead which caused the tram to rock fiercly. We were on the yarn bomb tram. Also, he didn't stop at all to explain anything. Disappointing return trip.

Quaint and cute. The rail makes a bit of noise, but the conductors are cheerful, and the tour is well summarised and informative. Plenty of optional stops are available, and later trans will pick up the tour from where you left off.

I had a wonderful experience here. All of the staff and drivers are very friendly, and it was wonderful lookimlng at all the restored trams. It was also interesting to see the workers in the back restoring a W class tram. Overall I had a wonderful time here. Thank you!

Extremely expensive and they don t tell you the price until you are committed. Nice enough old tram, perfunctory commentary on a recorded loop. Don t bother unless you are here for a full day and plan to be using it alot

Super fun experience to go after visiting the Central Deborah Goldmines. Very reasonably priced ($10 in March 2021). Our tram was open on both sides which was a cool experience! Would recommend.

I wish to congratulate a staff member of Bendigo Tramways (Fiona) who was on duty at the Tramways Depot Ticket & Gift shop on the week-end of 28/29th May - for her happy, relaxed, plus brilliant smile and willingness to impart her knowledge of Bendigo's Trams History, plus snippets of Bendigo and its surrounds. Fiona is so suited to this role, she is a perfect Ambassador and definite asset for your company and Bendigo itself.
We felt most welcomed into the shop, advice was given on the appropriate tour(s) for us, and 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude when choosing gifts for friends and family from your well stocked gift range. Our tram driver was also caring, happy and delivery of information on the tour was clear and informative.

The history of Bendigo is absolutely fascinating, and the Tramways is truly the place to start any tour. The staff are friendly, as is Birney the cat, and it was simply wonderful to stop by the gift shop for a hot chocolate or a coffee whilst looking at the memorabilia from years past.

Took the Bendigo Tramways' Vintage Talking Tram tour. Really enjoyed seeing Bendigo from this beautiful tram. The tour makes a short stop at the Tram Depot. Enjoyed watching trams being repaired and maintained in fantastic condition. Worth the visit when in Bendigo. Best tram depot I've seen. There is a snack shop and loo for the convenience of visitors.

Briney is a type of tram. The largest collection of Briney trams can be found here. The mascot of Bendigo Tramways is a cat called Briney.
