We have had Ben Lomand since 2009 in two rural residences. No more than 2mb service and pay for a lot more. Hopefully fiber will be better if it ever gets to Beechgrove. We have no other choices for service and like a lot of people I have to have a land line that we don t even use!

Pay almost $200 a month & our tv only works half of the time, the rest of the time it glitches. And we lose it all together with any storm. They have been here to repair it multiple times & replaced our old box with an updated one & it's ten times worse than the old one, it glitches constantly. And the internet is super slow even though we pay for the faster speed & WiFi goes out every time the tv does so it's completely unreliable which is a pain since our kids are homeschooled & use laptops & tablets. We don't have many options where we live so I guess we are stuck with them. Only good thing I have to say is that customer service is good, friendly people, who do try to help, it's just their service & products are flawed.

My internet has gone out two days in a row now. I called yesterday at 9am, wasn t given a timeframe, just sometime today. Finally someone came out at 3, wasn t fixed until 5. I m a data scientist, so all of my work is on the computer; I missed a whole day of work. This morning I called at 8:15am, and was told that I can t be given a timeframe as to when a technician would be able to fix it. The gentleman I spoke on the phone with said that s what happens when you don t schedule things days ahead.
If you have the option of choosing a different internet service provider, choose someone other than BenLomand. Terrible internet & customer service.

Greeted at the door. Was seen and out within 30 minutes as a new customer. Got fiber 50/50 at my house for a cheap rate. Had a coffee/water bar in waiting area. Faye was very nice and detailed on making my installation appointment. Called back the following day to see if they had any cancelations they could fill with my work order and they did. Pleasantly surprised for a cable company.

I've used a number of ISPs over the years, dating back to the 90's. This is the first one that I can genuinely say I like doing business with. Their service is excellent, in a year and a half I have not had a single outage. Their customer service is also fantastic.

If there were a way to rate these jerks under one star, I would. Guess you're wondering why I hate these scammers so much, huh?

Well, my family house currently has the phone/WiFi/cable bundle, paying out of their minds for it... The stock router from Ben Lomand gets a MAXIMUM 1 MegaBit per second download speed.... ONE MEGABIT PER SECOND. That's one EIGHTH of a megabyte per second. Downloading ANY files is a huge pain in the butt...

Since mother's day was last weekend, I decided I would be a nice son and drop $60 on a new router. It's not much for a router, but we're a family of five with only one gaming console being used at any given moment... The router I bought supported dual-band so the cordless phone wouldn't cross-talk with the wireless, 300 Mb/s (a 300% improvement), and support for all four WiFi broadcasts (a, b, g, n)...

So I get home, and start setting it up... I find that there is a DSL cable routed to the current router... Oh no... This isn't good... I call Ben Lomand up and they tell me that we're basically trapped at the horrendous 1 Mb/s that we have right now because the router they have for us is also the video router for our cable. It would cost a MINIMUM fee of $75 for them to come and separate it for us.

This is ridiculous!!! If you're thinking about going with Ben Lomand for ANY kind of service, DON'T!!! They will milk you out of every penny you have to your name and not think twice about it! I honestly hope these money hungry pigs go out of business...

The saddest part is... My mother basically worships these people. There's no way I can convince her to switch to anyone else (I've tried).

AWFUL! They take advantage of the area cause we don't have any options! So they just hook up the cheapest way they can. The service is over priced and very slow like dial up slow! Do not get this service if you can do without it at all! Use verizon or find another way. This service is AWFUL! AWFUL! AWFUL! They just take your money for nothing! IT WOULD BE NICE IF ALL CUSTOMERS COULD GET FIBER WIRE!!!!

Ben Lomand attempted on four separate locations to trench an internet line to the proper location on my building. On the 4th attempt they were successful at getting the line to the proper side of the building, but couldn't get a signal on the line after 8 persons onsite at various times over 4.5 hours. The installers from a different subcontractor did a great job of wiring the inside of the building, but didn't actually connect the modem to the fiber line. They plugged the modem in, powered it on, but didn't put an end on the fiber line to allow anyone to connect it to the modem. It's simply laying beside the modem. I have yet to receive a call explaining how this happened, or when someone will return to finish the installation. They did however leave 50ft of fiber line trenched to the wrong location in my driveway though.

Okay. I am currently having major issues with my phone service and Internet connection. I called this place thinking I was gonna get a little fix with my issue, but all I got was terrible service! When I called them, I acted nice, but the Ben lomand staff was of no help! Then I decided, okay, let's see what they do when I call the Ben Lomand internet services. On the first phone call, they put me on hold several times. Also, they were just throwing random ideas into the air to help me. My Xbox is having connection issues, and I had high hopes for these people, looks like I was wrong. I spoke with 3 staff members, including the manager, and all they did was make me really ticked and upset. On the second phone call, I spoke with the WHOLE other staff. But they didn't do anything of use because the don't know how to do a simple job! I ended up wasting 41 minutes of my time trying to call people to fix internet that is complete trash. If you're reading this Ben Lomand, just god bless. Please just try to make your service actually worth using.

You come on MY PROPERTY and dig holes in MY LAND without my permission... You did not notify the city of Manchester of your plans...sounds shady! If you want to run your internet on peoples private property pay the fee for the land you are trying to use! I do not want your cable lines on my land I don't want a box on my land WITHOUT my permission...

I have fiber to home and a 50mbs broadband package. With kids that game online and watch Netflix non-stop I have never had any issues with speed or connections. Highly recommend making the switch to fiber from copper if it is available to you. Also with the SmartHub app on my phone I can pay my bill from anywhere and schedule payments...awesome!

Everytime My internet stops working they tell me to unplug my router and plug it back in. Reboot it? Why can't they sell one you don't have to reboot. I bet if they told you this upfront they would have a lot less people using their service.

The cost is outrageous and the customer support in the main office are all snobby. My TV is always on the fritz. When I call they always say unplug it and turn it back on. They should tell you upfront before they sell you service that you must unplug and turn back on daily to keep your stuff going.

The staff is friendly here the only downside is because they are a telephone company technically they charge you 27 or 28 bucks for a landline that you don't even use it's some kind of Regulation thing from what I understand they don't have a lot of control over it that's the only reason for the two star rating

My video / internet went out on the 4th of July weekend. I called in to Ben Lomand and they told me a tractor had hit a pedestal near my house. They sent out a crew to fix the problem and my video / internet was back up in no time ! They are awesome !

They are the only internet provider in the area I live in. You are forced to get telephone service if you need internet service. Their internet speeds are, shall we say, so sloooow for the money.

Typical rural useless internet. Over $200 a month for phone, cable and 5mb internet, PAYING for 10 mb only getting 5 mb, because their crappy 40 year old copper phone wire is the best they will provide. Not worth the money but nothing else available for rural internet. And yes we have tried satellite providers, they are more expensive and worse dl speeds. It's a racket to siphon money out of people who don't have a choice. Ben Lomand just undercuts the competition slightly. They only provide fiber optics to those customers on a direct route to multiple businesses, which translates to, "all they want is your money." And as long as nothing better comes along they will get it. Which is the way Murica functions now. Sad that a company who protests they only want to make their customers happy, is just like all the rest.
