A really solid Asian-fusion restaurant. Ramen is my weakness so I'm glad to get something not only very tasty but very filling here. There are other places that are comparable but the selection is very solid and the prices are good.

Heard about The House for years and somehow never got around to going until last week.

My friends and I shared 3 entrees - sea bass, steak, and a special at the time I believe it was halibut in cream sauce. They were all very delicious! Especially the fish dishes.

We also had a mushroom soup, which was average. And their famous salmon rolls for appetizer. It was great! The salmon is half seared so the inside is still tender and fresh.

Overall we had a great time here although I have to say the portions are just a tiny bit small for me. I'd give this place a solid 4 stars. I do find it perhaps a little bit overhyped but

Casual chic concept with a pretty straightforward menu. Tried a few of their vegetarian options and they were all good. I only wish I knew there was egg in the veggie udon noodles that could have been removed. Nonetheless, good vibes, great staff & delicious food.

I finally stopped here after it being on my list for several years. I typically don t get excited about the actual food in restaurants :-/ ambience and wine does it for me. I was blown away by the lemongrass chicken with soba noodles. It was really flavorful and the perfect portion size. Such an unexpected treat. I m already planning my next dish. Thank you, Urban Belly!!!

Love this place. So good. Try the curry special. I think the potstickers are too small to be sold separately. But I'll definitely come back. Service is wonderfully fast, and the passion fruit lemonade is the best. They even have free sparkling water!

I love Urban Belly. It is one of the most consistently good restaurants I have been to and we will continue to go back. My son craves the kids noodle soup weekly, so we literally have to get it for him or he ll snap and keep asking everyday until we satisfy the craving. I love the coconut pho, the curry bowl, and cold peanut noodles. My only suggestion would be more specials and variety because I want to taste more delicious creations by Bill Kim! However, this may be because my son is wrangling us there so often. Overall, we are pleased and appreciate the consistency.

I don t know what happened but I first frequented urban belly at the old California ave location and was blown away every time by their noodle soups. Great ingredients but the killer was the wonderful flavorful broth. somewhere along the line the quality took a hit and it s just not the same. Not bad, but something missing. Likewise I used to frequent Belly Shack and while a few of the dishes show up here, it also lost its verve. It s not that the food is bad, but I know what it could be and miss the old days that got me hooked.

The director of operations, went out of her to rectify the incident, this one experience does not reflect on the establishment as a whole but on a single employee. I look forward to going back to Urbanbelly and having a great experience like I have in the past. Thank you!

My order was wrong. I ordered phat rice bowl and instead I received a kids chicken and rice. I asked for a hot tea and they didn t have any so then I was refunded. I wasn t even given my receipt. I was charged for a phat rice bowl. This it the worst experience I ve ever had and when I asked for a receipt the manager just brushed me off. My order was completely wrong. I would really like it if someone could get back to me for a refund. The manager was rude to me. I m extremely disappointed. This was a horrid experience.

Great flavors. Portions could be bigger, but I also eat a lot so what may be small for me, may be a lot for others. Sometimes they skimp out on protein sometimes they don't, not sure why this happens, but I love it! Great for dine in or takeout.

Overall my experiences here have been positive. I really enjoy the chicken katsu rice (dumpling?) soup as the perfect soothing and warming meal. I grew up in Japan, so katsu is a comfort food for me. The broth is a little spicy but very reasonably so and full of flavor. I am super glad that the Belly Dog is here, as it was my favorite item at Belly Shack when it was still around. The passionfruit lemonade is delicious and a perfect compliment to the meal. The potstickers are pretty tasty and probably the most kid-friendly item on the menu, if you have kids and want to take them there. The soft serve is also quite nice and comes in a parfait dish that helps elevate the treat. I wish they would bring back their yuzu lemonade that used to alternate with the passionfruit, but I suppose you can't have everything.

I just did not have a good experience. The food was Fine but not spectacular. I had Ramen bowl and my husband had Thai chicken appetizer. My noodles came out uncooked- I requested that they cook it longer. The second time around was better but not great. I did like the broth but I love cilantro. It was definitely fusion and not traditional! My husband s Thai appetizer just tasted deep fried and sweet/ sticky. No real flavor. There were fruit flies swarming our food the whole time. And I didn t find the service appealing. They come set the food in front of you and walk away. Would have been nice if they would have mentioned where utensils/ napkins where. There was no spoons for the ramen- I saw them but they were way out of reach. Easy location, nice decor. I am not local so I probably won t try it again but if I lived in the neighborhood I would probably give it one more go....

Quick serve but not fast food, spicy and flavorful Asian style dishes with plump, long noodles, soups, dumplings, and more. Self serve drinks, flatware. Hip vibe in hipster neighborhood. Nice staff.

This review is for the Revival food court location. I ordered the chicken with rice and a water for $17.28. The attendant auto selected an 18% tip, and when I thought that was uncalled for on a take out lunch order, she gave me an attitude. Then I was not given the water that I paid for. The flavor of the chicken wasn't bad, however, it had a texture that made me think it had already been chewed. The rice was dried out as if it had been sitting out too long. On top of all of that, I was sick after the meal. I think this place has some serious mismanagement concerns that will cause it to go out of business if the issues are not addressed. Permanently turned off.

Urbanbelly is a great lunch or casual dinner spot, and a great option for delivery too. The rice dishes are my go to, with high recommendations for the phat rice and rice & salad bowls. They also have a number of specials, including their take on an Italian Beef with togarashi-spiced fries and their chicken pho broth in lieu of au jus - excellent all around!

Order at the counter, they give you a number to take to your table and they bring out your food for you.

Quick fusion place. I got a ramen bowl that was a good size and a couple dumplings. They were really good. It has almost a fast food vibe for how you order but the food is excellent, staff was friendly, place is nice and clean. They also have some teas and lemonades that are a good alternative to sodas. Price is on the high side but large portions and worth it for the flavor. 10/10 would go back.

We were looking for a refreshing and hydrating bowl of ramen but their signature dish was all salt and cayenne and no developed flavor. Sloppy chunks of gamey pork belly that were cut so thick you couldn't pick them up with chopsticks. Complete waste of $30 for two bowls on a lunch.

Tasty food, fast service, and attentive waitstaff. My only concerns was the pricing versus the portion. small bowls, and half way full. i ordered the curry bowl, the tofu $12, my guest the specialties, ramen $13 and 2 dumplings $3. The food tasted good there just wasnt much of it. Not much of an option for vegetarian gluten free, it was one or the other. i dont think there was a vegan option at all. My guest got a kick out of his beer's foam being frozen.$4 or $6 bucks. total bill was $36
Location is great, by the blue line, and public transportation.

The proportion of portion to price is wayyyyy off... I got the coconut curry pho and it was more expensive for like 1/3 the amount of a usual bowl of pho... also the tofu they put in was really lame... do NOT recommend.

Last minute find on yelp (thank you!) Service was fantastic, the guy behind the counter gave us a quick run down on the ordering process and the options. Kind of like a chipotle but asian. We had the meatballs, chicken, and the steak. All were delicious, the veggies were fresh and flavorful, and the serving sizes were huge. Our whole party enjoyed this place and wish we had one at home in Vegas! Great lunch spot.

Great customer service! I had never been there before and the lady walked me through the menu and gave her recommendations. I ended up ordering the pork and cilantro dumplings and the pea shoot rice and both were fantastic. Will definitely be coming back here! The bill was $17 just to give you a price point

Love how you can just pop in, grab a few dumplings to go, and be on your way. More similar to the Asian street food style.

My one complaint is that I ordered three dumplings, and each one came in its own plastic container. Seems wasteful.

I am a "regular" here so being highly prejudiced when I write this review I have become an "addict" and consider all food items here "comfort" food especially because I am a huge fan of dumplings and good home made broth. Urban belly has a wonderful, eclectic variety of Pho types of soups which are huge enough in portion to share with a friend and fried rice combinations where you simply order a bowl of rice and combine it with veggies, meats or tofu. I always come here on a Sunday and relax with a cup of broth, steamed rice, dumplings and sometimes their spicy fries. Today I tried their home brewed, iced Vietnamese coffee which is a wonderful value because you receive a free refill for the price of one serving. This restaurant is extremely well run and clean. All the items on the menu are priced well and delicious. My only complaint is once in a while young families might bring in a "group" of small children and so it can get quite noisy here if the parents decide not to quiet down their kids. One time I came here and two groups of children were here to celebrate a birthday party and the young birthday girl was screeching pretty high and running around on her scooter. I kind of wonder why parents think this restaurant is suitable for birthday parties? I truly think the food here is perfect for children but if you are planning on having a party perhaps Urban belly should suggest renting out the entire restaurant for these occasional gatherings because if you are paying for a meal then hopefully the environment should be reasonably peaceful for all diners and not turned into a "playground" for kids. Other than the families bringing in children I would highly encourage everyone in Wicker Park to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere here and all the waitstaff here is friendly, helpful and good at giving suggestions about what to order. Every first of the month I was told you can purchase any dumpling for a dollar! There is also free filtered still or sparkling water you can help yourself to and no one here rushes you in and out so you can relax enjoy the free wifi and not be hurried out the door. This restaurant is definitely a place I come to relax and enjoy a good view of the neighborhood as people walk past. Dishes here range from very mild to ultra spicy so you will never grow bored of the menu and the food is consistently great. This place deserves a Five but I am taking away one star due to the fact that every now and again there are just way too many parents who do not have control over their young children and it kind of ruins the tranquil vibe when you hear screeching kids. I get the idea that this place is family friendly but kids get bored easily and because there is a kid's menu and the staff never say anything the noise can get pretty bad when there are lots of young children present. I love coming here but I wish the parents understood this is NOT a Chucky Cheese. I will continue dining here every time I work or do errands in Wicker Park. This place has incredibly healthy and tasty food at reasonable prices. The desserts here are amazing too. Try the peanut butter and jelly soft serve ice cream! It's satisfying and decadent. Big hugs to all the staff you are all amazing!

Good food and they could make a lot of the dishes vegan by not adding the egg. We had the tofu noodles, chicken katsu and a few of the dumplings. The service was very fast, good place for a quick bite. Great location really close to the station.

Very, very good. Nice place, nice people, excellent food. If I have a problem with this restaurant, it is the location. Parking is troublesome at best, and given where we live this a real haul. If they had another outlet further north I'd be there all the time. As it is, I'll go when I'm in the area for other reasons.
