I applied to Bello Machre at the end of November 2...

I applied to Bello Machre at the end of November 2019. Heard back and had a first interview. Even had a second interview. Went back twice to fill out paperwork. Mind you I live 45 minutes away. Finally had a final interview at the end of January 2020, and went to the house. I got approved. They told me they wanted to hire me and that I would hear from them within a week of when I would start. I was so excited to get started in my nursing career. I had mentioned to them that I don t check my email much, I prefer phone calls. A week had gone by, I had left a voicemail on when I could start and another question I had. Left a couple more voicemails. Finally randomly checked my email. My final interview where I was told that I was hired was on a Wednesday, they emailed me the next day to say they weren t moving forward with hiring me. Wow. No explanation. Unprofessional.

I have been with bello machre for many years and all staff and management been great to me I love all counselors and staff and management there and they been very supportive since loss of my mom on the 14th of June and any other issue I may have. I am a very independent lady and they respect me and my wishes they do try help and suggest things but I do not always do it because I like to do things on my own sometimes in making some decisions for my self but I do ask if i need assistance. love u all at bello hugs

I started working fulltime for another company in the same field two weeks before starting part-time at Bello. Well, long story short, I left the other company and am in the process of going full-time at Bello. There is a vast difference in the way both companies are run and, quite frankly, the stress from the poor management at the other company was not at all worth it. I enjoy doing what I do and I miss the individuals served at my other job but, Bello could sure give those other folks some lessons on how to operate.

I have had very positive experiences with Bello Machcre over the past 3 1/2 years as a Family Support Manager. All staff is friendly and helpful, and I enjoy working with my individuals and their families. However, at times families complain to me about the lack of communication between them and Bello Machre, especially when there are changes in staff contacts.

People with Autism need not apply. My little brother was strung along with a housing opertunity for over a year... at the last minute he was denied a spot because he might annoy other residents. Also there were not suppose to be animals living there and there was going to be. My brother is not the only one this has happened to, be careful!

If I could give this company 0 stars, I would. The reason why there is such a high turnover at this company is because they do not know how to treat staff. Gifts are one thing, and disrespect is another. Staff should not lose their sense of dignity even after receiving a $10 gift card and/or a fruit basket. Staff are worth more than gifts and a bonus. These incentives should ONLY be used as means for motivation. When one of the managers, located at the Kensington Home, started being nasty towards me, I reported this according to the chain of command and sought a form of conflict-resolution in order to ease the hostile environment that was created. Instead of Bello Machre's management acting on my report (which can be heard in the attached recording), they decided that my services "were no longer needed". Although the manager's consent was provided in the recording, Bello Machre's management twisted the problem and made it seem as though recordings are not allowed. In other words, instead of providing a conflict-resolution meeting for the manager and staff, they made the recording a greater issue. If recordings were not allowed as of August 2020, staff should have been notified in writing about this policy. Hopefully they do not make it seem as though they notified staff. Had I not found a better paying job, I would have taken this further.

As one of the newest Residential Program Directors to join the Bello Machre team, I am proud to work for such an EXCELLENT non-profit organization. I have seen the love that our Direct Support Staff have for the individuals we serve in our residential homes and it is nothing less than inspiring! I see Bello Machre's commitment to providing loving care to those with developmental disabilities fulfilled everyday in the work that we do and I could not be happier to be a part of the Bello Machre family.

This company is not the greatest it's the management that makes the company a not so good look. Management gets mad when you stand up for yourself or ask questions before hand. For example if you're needed to help out in another home they put you in a postions where you don't know what you're walking into&gets upset if you're asking questions to get a understanding of what's going on . Managements lack of communication skills they fall short in this area. But if anyone decided to work definitely ask alot of questions. Management definitely make up alot of things but the higher ups will always have the managers backs. So the staff really have no say so in anything. Just beware of this company and how they really treat the staff. This company like any company doesn't realize that your establishment can only run effectively if management is willing to work together with the staff which they don't. But you be the judge for yourselves. If companies treated the staff better then staff would be willing to work.

I was an intern at Bello Machre several years ago. Although I am now working elsewhere, I continue to be involved as a volunteer. I love the work Bello Machre does, and I love the people who make it happen. It is a trustworthy, welcoming community and family.
