Definitely abundance of creativity and fun can be found in all the dishes. However, I would expect more for such a highly rated restaurant.
I ordered Lisbon menu with 3 wine pairings. It took awhile for wines to start opening up, so the wines were not good pairs, personally, to the pace of all the dishes.
The egg dish was quite amazing actually. And Dip in the sea (the cod dish) was pleasantly surprising and so were the chef's compliments.
On the other hand, both of the meat dishes were very disappointing. Deserts were somewhat mediocre.
Overall, the experience (including service) was good and food was all right. Had the price been a little bit more reasonable, I don't think my ratings will be so harsh.

It is undoubtedly an experience that surprises us with each dish. Staff very friendly and helpful and the whole meal is very pleasant, in which every moment has divine details that make all the difference. In the end we really wanted to go back. To not lose.

The upscale Iberian ding experience. Some meat, no chicken - but seafood that tastes like seafood.

Did I need the giant shrimp's head? No, but you might.

Finally, dessert doesn't need to be THAT fancy. Just once I'd like to go somewhere like this and get a huge-ass slice of chocolate cake at the end of the meal.

This restaurant is absolutely Outstanding!

This restaurant is absolutely Outstanding!
World class in every way the food is spectacular
and the service is warm, friendly, helpful, and gracious.
If there were 10 stars I would grant them thankfully.
We had a place in Paris for ten years, and our son is a Cordon Bleu chef,
we have eaten our way around the world many times and have tried them all.
Don t miss Belcanto wonderful!

Showed up for our reservation made by our hotel that refers to them frequently to be told that our reservation was cancel. They blamed out hotel. Told our hotel because all confirmations/cancellations are done via email to avoid this. They only have the reservation confirmation.

Best experience I ever had. From the call I made 1 month before to the restaurant. Extremely attentive, polite and friendly staff. I ate the beef tenderloin, the meat crumbled in my mouth, it was perfect. They were bringing small appetizers, each better than the other, unimaginable flavors, divine ... The employee who attended us was a total and attentive sympathy, they remembered every detail I had said in the reservation, including that my boyfriend He is also a cook and so they had the attention of showing us the kitchen and there the staff was equally super friendly, we all greeted ... It's not cheap but I don't regret a penny I left there and was promised to come back . Thanks.

An experience! Except the reservation service forgot a reservation I made and made it to another restaurant in the group.
Thanks to the fact that we were served by an extraordinary, efficient and polite professional named Rostyslav Fedotov!
With such service and service, I quickly forgot that they exchanged my reservation.

I have to admit, i'm bit of a veteran of michelin star restaurants. This one doesn't disappoint and served up some fine haute cuisine in keeping with its 2 stars. Expensive but you pay for what you get. Recommended

This was a once in a lifetime experience at my first Michelin starred restaurant. The courses were exquisite, delicious, and intricate. The wine pairings were divine. The service was individualized, efficient, and impeccable. We got to meet Chef Jose Avillez who was delightful.

We ordered the classic tasting menu with several wines. It is a trip of surprises, one notes a great commitment and detailed work in all the dishes.
The choice of wines was very well done. And the waiters are very knowledgeable about the dishes and are very well coordinated, without a doubt that there is a lot of work there.

Just perfect! It's all I can say. If you search for a two Michelin stars meal, this is the place. Not affordable for a typical Portuguese family (>150 /pax) but if money is not an issue for you just go for it.

Beware: they screwed up our reservation for a big birthday and did not even have the decency to return our follow-up e-mails when, on the day before the reservation, the problem came to light. Heartless!

So decided to try a fine dining restaurant, it was 145 Euros, for the menu we had which was 12 courses, I think that was probably 3 courses too many in my opinion, the first few dishes were shaped like beans though they were liquid inside the flavour was interesting though I was not completely won over by these, There were better dishes as it progressed, the oxtail was stunning and also the Shrimp was nicely flavoured. the dessert there was 2 sets first one was nice with a peach mouse and pumpkin that had been dried so it was crisp, the 2nd dessert again not a huge fan made to look like an orange, hints of clementine from the shell and the foam inside. I think 9 courses would have suffice, would I pay for this again probably not, but than again i'm not that in to fine dining, I preferred the homely places with ambience and atmosphere.

Creative and delicious menu. We ordered the top set menu (16 courses) and most of the dishes were incredible. But it was just too much food. The weakest dish was the weird thing they do with the prawn head in a biscuit (that you can't eat) cave. Really unnecessary. The tuna in the flowers was one of the best things I have every eaten, as was the eel with the yolk. The service was a little confusing and weird, one waiter had the quietest voice and we could barely hear what he was saying. Great wine menu. Highly recommend if you are looking for fine dining in Lisbon, just order one of the shorter / cheaper menus, because the big one is just impossible.

A stellar tasting rooted in traditional Portuguese cuisine, with El Bulli influences. Go for the Evolution menu and expect your taste buds to dance like Darwin never did. Currently Michelin 2 star but really hovers near three. As a tip, the lunch menu is the same as dinner and easier to score a seating. If still hungry in the later evening, just go out for petiscos

Excellent restaurant / pub. Delicious dishes and details made with simple ingredients. We ordered tacos with sauces, French cheese croquettes and two burgers (one with sandwich and one served with avocado and cabbage). It seemed to us curious and original how to cook tacos. The waiters are kind and friendly. Highly recommended place.

Excellent experience. Belcanto definitely deserves their Michelin Star. I personally think, they will even have a shot at a second one next year.

The setting and service were both absolutely outstanding. The most attentive, yet down-to-earth staff we have had in a while

We had the Lisboa menu, which was absolutely stunning. An absolute standout here was the "Three hearts" - Lettuce heart, veal heart and walnut emulsion (heart shaped) - probably one of the best things I ever had. There were nods to El Bulli-style molecular kitchen in some courses and the courses were inventive and flawless. Another highlight were the deserts that included a small reprise to several courses in the menu (when it comes to look, not taste).

Definitely visit this place if you are looking for a great fine dining experience in Lisbon

Not just a meal...an experience. The food is of course outstanding in both presentation and flavor, and the meal was perfectly paced. 4 hours passed by without feeling at all long. The wine pairing provided a wonderful journey including a nice selection of rare and unusual Portuguese wines that you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere.

Great service and food very good. Great ingredients. Portuguese food revisited. I really enjoyed the dessert with conventual sweets. Despite the good experience, I found it a little pricey for what it offers. I've been to other starry restaurants with fairer prices. Even so worth the visit for anyone who enjoys gourmet experiences.

Very special restaurant with door closed and we need to push the bell to get attention. A tasting menu with half matching wine was less than $150 per person. Not expensive for this level of restaurant. The food presentation was better than taste. Service was excellent.

Gastronomy is also art ... To understand the meaning of "Michelin star", I recommend the visit. It provides a true gastronomic experience, different from the usual.
All five stars ... Since we entered until we left.

Known as the Michelin restaurant, I followed the children's GPS guide to touch a plaza all the way, but I couldn't see the momentum of this restaurant, and the door was still closed. I thought it was not open that day, but there was a waiter after knocking on the door. Open the door. Listening to us saying that there is no appointment, I have to go in first to see if there is a seat. This makes me little dissatisfied. What kind of restaurant is there, is there any space, or is it empty? Is it scheduled to know? And when we went there, we had already had a meal. When we entered, we saw 2-3 tables empty. . .
After entering, this service is basically nothing to be picky. Basically, I will look for the waiter when I look up. They will come over. When ordering, they will not be very tight. It is really just right, and for us outsiders. The questions in the menu are also answered one by one. It looks very nice and very patient. .
In order to experience the Michelin food to the greatest extent, we ordered a set meal, the content of this package is the content of their four courses. . I don t comment on the content of the food. The one sentence is a magic! ! How can I cook like this, how can I think of such a set, how can I think of such a match. . There is a lack of words, and it can't be fully expressed in words. So I took a picture of the children, so everyone appreciates it.
When we got the whole restaurant, we were two people. We also called a bottle of water and slowly sipped and chatted. . Of course, the price is also ok, after all, Samsung, we ate more than 100 European per capita..

Let me start by saying that it is pricey.

Let me start by saying that it is pricey.

With that out of the way, it served up one of the best fish dishes I've had to date (a dip in the ocean). If you're looking for a revolutionary meal that challenges your palate, this is not it.

What it is, is a modern take on some classical "Portuguese" dishes. The technique is definitely there as is the general experience.

The new venue is tastefully executed, the service, on point. The sommelier was accommodating and helpful.

The 14 course evolution menu is an exquisite mix of discovery and surprises where the chef smartly plays with your senses... Even bringing your childhood gameplay to the table. Paired our 4h dinner with an excellent series of Bourgogne and close friends with whom to enjoy.
