They do not take reservations, even for a large party. Came here for brunch with friends, and the wait for a one of the two big tables was roughly 30minutes. Our server was super attentive, he kept refilling our coffees (3-4times during our stay), and was willing to explain some of the dishes to us. The food was delicious, and I can't wait to go back for their dinner service.

Found this via Google while looking for Brunch places after a race. The food was quite delicious, and since we got there at opening, it was pretty empty. I can't speak to any other time.

I had a meal here. Wasn't a huge fan of most of the menu items we tried. But that Original Korzo Burger is one of the tastiest burgers I've ever had. And it is probably the most original burger I've ever tried

Every time I'm here the food is always delicious and fresh! Service is always great! The menu is super unique and the selection is hard to find anywhere else.
Must try the Korzo Burgers (fried original bugers)! Will be coming back soon!

It was tasty the original burger but $19. The lighting is a bit dark inside and the light flickered a bit. The beet sauce was different. The red bottle is a spicy sauce. I thought it was ketchup.

It is a small miracle that this place isn't jam-packed on weekends. It's one of my favorite spots in Bay Ridge, thanks to the delicious, innovative burgers -- if you've never had celery on a bacon cheeseburger wrapped in its own bun, you're missing out -- to the classic Slavic food, to the sunny, always friendly personality of the restaurant's host.

This is a Bay Ridge staple, but it should be a Brooklyn staple. If you're suspicious about South Brooklyn's restaurant scene, put those suspicions to rest and have a visit.

Back yard seating very spacious. Decent variety on the menu. Love their beet ketchup and the spicy sauce. Best cold slaw I've had. My boyfriend got the steak- tougher than expected for a medium rare but the flavor was there.

One of my favorite local spots. Their beet (veggie) burger is surprisingly good, but do yourself a favor and order the Korzo burger. You'll have to work hard at the gym to balance it out, but it's just so worth it.

Amazing farm to table Eastern European food. I usually get the goulash and a classic korzo burger. They do not accept reservations and if it's busy you might have to wait for a table but its more than worth it.

Big fan of this restaurant as their selections are ample and hefty in portion and freshness. We love Pavel as our waiter, he takes care of his tables and ensures a pleasant dining experience. Go to option is the house salad with butternut squash paired with an apple flavored dressing. Other options worth checking out as the menu changes per season to adjust to available local ingredients.

Do I even need to throw my two cents in? Nearly everyone who's eaten here thinks it's fantastic and they are entirely correct. I'm not even going to bother with recommendations because it's ALL good. But seriously, get any of their burgers for your first visit. You'll be back and can try different things later.

Crazy delicious food! Small and cozy place, hidden jem (literally not visible) of neighborhood. Once you get tired reading whole menu and drooling just ask for advice and trust the choice.

Their burger is the best in Brooklyn by a long shot. If comes in a donut type dough that's awesome. Drinks are well mixed. Get here early because it's not very big and you'll be waiting a while.

A hole in the wall. Find a hard time looking for the door as I was afraid the entire glass facade will fall on me. It's like Diagon Alley 9 3/4. But once you opened the door, you're entirely on a different place, in the Balkans. Lol. Just kidding. Just wait for the food. That's the thing that will send you straight to the Balkans. The quality of meat is superb (as I noticed with all the other Balkan joints). And the beet mustard. Ahhh. No words. Even my 4-year old son kept on squeezing and enjoyed/finished his food. And the side dishes - everything was prepared with passion and love. Love the salad with nuts, seeds, beets, roasted butternut squash, peaches and the red cabbage(?) coleslaw. It's like a balanced healthy meal. No guilt all smile. And end your meal with their beet root cake. That's it. You're ready to sleep after a hearty full meal. Was not able to taste the beet cake, it was so good, my friends finished it in a flash. But even the tart is good too. The whipped cream is so light maybe only 0.5 calories. Lol. I really dont wanna share the place as I want to keep it just to myself so it doesnt get crowded and there will always be a seat available but...I need them to stay in the 'hood for a long time.

Honestly, the place is stellar. Attentive service, great cocktails, top level food. Now I hope no one reads my review because it's still not too packed every night to get a table.

Had the Original Korzo Burger which was excellent. Was there when the place first opened for the day (Saturday) so it was a nice quiet, chill atmosphere. Will definitely be back. The Beet Ketchup was awesome too and I don't even like beets!

We tend to skip this restaurant frequently while walking around 3rd Ave. Decide to try this place one night and was pleasantly surprised. The Korzo burger was really good! Service was great.

Delicious. Everything was amazingly good and Pavel was meticulous, prompt, sweet, and not overbearing. Overall an excellent experience. The back garden is shaded and full of plants, and everything is painted beet colors. Moving away from Brooklyn and we're sad we just discovered this place. We'll be coming back.

A good, communal experience can be had here. The originator of the Korzo burger, they have several establishments that do the same, but this one is famous for their beets, of which I did not try. However, in speaking of the Korzo burger, it is worth it for a try if you've never had one- It's a cheeseburger fried inside a dough pocket and divided up for consumption. It comes with fries. The place is dimly lit in the evenings and serve a decent selection of beers and wines to go along with the entrees.

The food is magnificent, every meal I've had there has been delicious. The service is top notch as well. Highly recommended this restaurant to anyone living in or visiting the Bay Ridge area.

Really tasty/interesting drinks. The burger-in-bun creation is amazing. Steak is also surprisingly delicious. I've been to their South Slope sister restaurant as well, which I also recommend. Staff is very friendly.

Sorry to disagree, but the food here is terrible. One example: this restaurant and its sister location in Manhattan pretend to be homey, traditional Hungarian establishments, with a touch of hipster in the addition of the "beet" business, which telegraphs kale-icity, beetiness, magical ingredients that will make you live forever cancer-free and attain nirvana perhaps in two years. The online menu itself is so quaintly ancient European you could just faint. So let's order a wonderful, satisfying traditional dish, goulash! Goulash is beef stew. Everybody loves beef stew. Except vegans, of course, but it's so all-American, and yet so Hungarian! Tender pieces of stew meat, potato, carrots, all so soft, they melt in your mouth. Mmm. But at Brooklyn Beet, the goulash is made with short rib meat. Huh? Why? Well, what's short ribs? Jewish people know that short ribs are boiled and made as "flanken", and oh man, so delicious. Short ribs are darn good BBQ, with dry rub or sauce. Tender! My goulash comes in a huge bowl, like I'm 3 people. OK, that's plenty to take home. What's that in there? Oh, Tine dumplings! That's nice and Hungarian! No potatoes then. No carrots. I want a chunk of meat. Grrrup. Can't actually chew it. Hard as a rock. How long was this cow dead? Every piece of short rib is so tough I can barely get my teeth through it. The gravy is nice though, but it's spicy...because they used hot paprika. Well, I know that real Hungarian paprika comes in mild and hot. The menu did not say spicy, I would not have ordered it with hot paprika. Or stone ribs. Guess what else is in there. Italian roasted peppers! Why? Italian? And onions. So I give it an F for fooey. They do give you bread with it. What kind? Arab bread. Pita that has been toasted. WHY??? Because it's hipster food. And I don't want any. Neither should you. Awful.

Good

LOVE the place! Just tried it recently - never thought 'slavic' food can be SO good! Try their burgher - it's to die for. This is NOT fast food - some dishes Have to be made totally from scratch so prepare to give it 15-20 min or so. Yu WON'T be disappointed

This is a tiny spot with a warm atmosphere. Apparently, it's a little famous too. We passed a couple taking a picture of themselves in front of the sign walking in. Stand outs were the goulash, rabbit stew and shrimp & grits.

The waitress was very attentive and friendly walking us through the menu when we were having trouble deciding. All in all a great dinner with friends.

So I'll start out with what not to get: their cocktails! Although it sounded like fun and crafty on paper, it wasn't in taste.

My highlights were the potato crisps with beet ketchup, and homemade hot sauce. and the dry aged meat in their fried burger... Everything else was nothing special or unique, I would even say mediocre... and I'm talking about the burger too, take out their specialty meat that the burger that I got had, and it's a below average burger...

I would so want to love this place, I like the name, the theme, the decor, the dim lighting... Just not the food! This was my first time, so I can't say for sure, but it looks like this "used" to be a great location for artisanal high quality food... But now it looks like they are neglecting on a lot of little details, and it's apparent from the soups to their drinks, to even to used to be great burger...

Delicious food, dishes based mainly on beets and potatoes. The burgers are almost a must when going here. The food is all organic and from local NY farms. Prices are good and the service is great. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and decor.

One of the best burgers I have ever had that was cooked to a medium rare perfection. Everything is really unique. The rabbit stew was one of my favorites. It was my first time eating rabbit. It was worth it!!

They have a beautiful garden in the back. I was only there for a short time and ordered pork dumplings with a side of fries and draft beer. Food was great, service was also good. I tried their beet ketchup for the first time and I kinda liked it :)

More like a 3.5 stars, not 4.

More like a 3.5 stars, not 4.
Go for the Korzo burgers- and surprisingly the vegetarian (gasp!) beet burger was the best on the table! It's basically a burger patty inside a bun that is deep fried- it tastes amazing. Maybe that's what gives the beet such a nice texture. The original was pretty good too- made of beef and other spices.
The latkas, on the other hand, were extremely disappointing and looked like a failed attempt at some sort of hash browns. Also, beer lovers will like their selection of unique ales.
It's a cozy space ad can get very busy because of the limited seating. Get there early or prepare to wait. Staff is mostly friendly and accommodating.

Love the original korzon burger. Awesome have had it multiple times. Wife loves the beets. Used to have regular ketchup for the fries. Now they only have beet ketchup. Which I don't care for beets. Wish they would start carrying regular ketchup again.
