Extremely busy during lunch time and full of suits. Small menu, but everything on it was delicious and the cocktails were also very good. Not great for a quick or inexpensive lunch, but their appetizers are particularly of note. A sort of modern rustic hybrid dining experience. They serve their food in their very dark interior, so beware your leftovers don't look/taste so good later.
Their bottomless brunch for 2hrs is really 2hrs and they provide champagne refills pretty quickly. Food is also appetizing and filling.
Pretty decent prix fixe lunch with an excellent burger and fast service.
Fun, hip atmosphere. Enjoyed (on separate occasions!) lunch and dinner - AND happy hour. All meals were great. Memorable meals included... * Daily special: Pumpkin and squash pasta. Delectable, sweet with a bit of kick. * Prime hanger steak w/ market greens, be arnaise sauce, fries. Steak was perfectly broiled and precisely as I ordered! * Rigatoni w/ house-cured pancetta, green garlic, fennel, parmesan Will definitely return.
No service. Literally none. We waited for close to 20 minutes and left; headed up to Scotty's Diner and had a nice old school breakfast.
We had a fantastic meal here. The restaurant is much larger than the deceptively small entrance would suggest. Four of us ended up sharing a steak that was meant for three - and it was plenty of food for all of us!
Chic, trendy establishment just a few steps down from sidewalk. Unlimited bubbly consisting of various juice and nectars mixed with an entire bottle of prosecco is a delightful pairing to any of the breakfast options. My husband chose the sausage griddle sandwich which was a combination of fluffy cornmeal griddle cakes surrounding a perfectly fried egg, a mixed sausage with apple topped with melty cheddar cheese accompanied by healthy side of potato wedges. While I enjoyed a Belgian waffle topped with butterflied buttermilk crusted chicken and hot pepper bits.
A friend and I met up for restaurant week Sunday brunch. Reservations are definitely recommended. The decor and ambiance is very nice. I ordered the California Bowl, which was absolutely delicious. My friend started off with the grilled kale salad which was also very yummy and I usually don't like kale. We both got the chicken and waffles which I was not a fan of. The waffle was great, but I found the chicken to be blah. The breading was thick and didn't have much flavor. Then when we were ready for our Vanilla Bean Bread Pudding, we were told they ran out. It was only 1:30! So we were offered a brownie which was average and oddly had quite a bit of salt on top.
Went in for a late lunch. I had the burger with fries. Both were good and I'd recommend them. Service was a little slow and inattentive.
Freshly made breakfast daily. Their oatmeal, croissants are delicious. The atmosphere is modern chic. Love the 50ies inspired dinning area and the olive colour booths. The staff is attentive & friendly.
Had brunch with bottomless mimosas with a selection of 3 different fruit juices
Way better than expected from what appears to be a laid back non descript place. But the food was flavorful service excellent. Then again I had low expectations.
I enjoyed the ambience and the attitude of my server. I ordered the burger at it was okay. Nothing jumped out at my flavor wise but it was cooked as I requested. It wasn t bad but it wasn t amazing..but for $19, it should be a standout. It took a long time for the food come out perhaps the kitchen was short handed? I do wish I would ve ordered an appetizer. The bathroom had paper towels all over the floor..I picked them up because it bothered me that much.
Be aware that they give preference to locals/regulars. So if you visit and wait for availability, they will sit others in front of you. Good luck.
A great hidden gem in Midtown East. A little gourmet hideaway attached to the hotel, this low-key retreat never fails to disappoint in terms of ambiance, drinks or food.
Sleek interior and nice gallery kitchen. Delicious food and inventive food pairing. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent grilled beets appetizer highly recommended. Squid ink pasta has a lot of flavor. Good choice around grand central.
Went here for brunch and it was delicious! I got the frittata with an avocado on top highly recommend. Had some friends get the chicken and waffles and they loved it. We also did the bottomless brunch voucher for our table of 7 and boy did it save everyone a ton of money. Our original bill without the voucher was around 200 with it it was 80 and that's with gratituity too! So if you have the voucher you should definitely go. If not, still go because the food is good just expect to pay a little more. But hey youre paying for quality!
One of my favorite happy hours in the city. If you can get a spot at the bar, that is.
Always order the fish special. Its hands down amazing and delicate. Great place for any kind of lunch or dinner.
A tad pricey, but the food is unique in presentation and very tasty. Enjoy.
Great bottomless brunch, fast seevice. Burger was delicious.
I love the ambience of this spot! The steak and eggs were made to perfection.
Amazing flavors and nice portions. Good local beer selection despite it being more wine oriented. Will return if back in NYC.
Great place for an afterwork! Thanks to the balanced noise level it could be great for business, as well as with friends. I did not visit the restaurant, but the music and setting was pretty party-feeling. I would definitely come back!
Pretty solid brunch. They give you bottles of prosecco and juice to mix your own drinks. It's quite tasty. The food is fairly basic stuff, but it's done well. I would recommend for brunch with friends.
Excellent food and fast service. Definitely go here if you need breakfast in a pinch before heading to the airport.
Great location, good ambience. Limited by good choice of food. Wide variety of drinks available. Service was decent enough.
Food and ambiance was good. No one dish stood out though. Service was top notch. Came for dinner with clients and was seated in a curtained off area at the back of the restaurant. Everyone left happy, so that was good!
Visited for some after work drinks, ended up staying for a meal, the steak was amazing. The Chef brought it over so we could see what we were getting before grilling it to our preference, medium for me as it was on the bone, but it came medium rare which was fine. Great atmosphere, not stuffy like some places of this type. Will definitely go again before leaving NY in July.
Cozy Restaurant not suitable to bring kids. It has great atmosphere.
Excellent duck and pork entrees, and very nice steak tartare.
Pricey and small portions but good food and atmosphere and staff.
Nice location, friendly personal. Excellent food (breakfast).
The food, staff and atmosphere made for a most enjoyable brunch. Based on this first exposure, we will return.
The food here was spectacular, especially for a place that is set up to be a casual environment! The roasted beets were amazing and paired with a lot of tastes created a great experience. the grilled chicken with shitake mushrooms was also fabulous! Also, really great (fast and friendly) service! I was in and out in 40 minutes. I will definitely come back the next time I am in NYC!
This place has a reputation for their brunch. So..... We made reservations for Christmas Day Brunch at 10:15 am. On Christmas Eve, we had to confirm our reservations. My sister showed up a little early (luckily) and we were still about 10 minutes away; she was told there was no brunch menu on Christmas Day and that she should order food for the whole table because the kitchen was closing at 10:15. She did order 3 breakfast entrees and the food was decent. However, the place was dreary, no decorations for the holiday. The staff kept reminding us they were closing the kitchen soon because they expected to be very busy later. Not sure why they accepted reservations for a party of four at the same time they expected to close the kitchen. Not sure why they expected to be busy later; can t imagine why anyone would be having xmas dinner in such a dark and dreary atmosphere.
Excellent food and drinks! The small plates to share were great.
Great place for Brunch!! They serve the whole bottle of champagne with 3 juices to self pour. The staff is GREAT to they are quick to bring you another bottle as it gets low. I had my birthday brunch here and it was perfect! They did a fantastic job taking care of us.
Great bar (didnt eat, so I can't judge the food). Staff was incredible and tjey make great cocktails ! Definitely check em out
First time there ....was blown away. Wasn't sure what to expect.....the Thanksgiving family meal was incredibly delicious!!! Generous portions...meats were incredibly flavorful.....we left full happy full and with enough to take home... our waitress was very knowledgeable about beer and wine pairings and very helpful (sorry I forgot her name)...wonderful dining experience!!?!!?
Great music, interesting menu and quality, awesome staff. Intimate and classy setting
We had lunch at this place and it was spectacular!!! Loved the atmosphere, music and service. Sabrina and Antonio were very knowledgeable and gave us the 5 star treatment, thank you and we will see you soon.
My favorite midtown hangout. Great for a group of friends to meet up and close the place down....because that s what we always do. The food is delicious. The drinks are perfect. The atmosphere is friendly and clubby. The wine list is excellent too.
Long Island duck breast was lovely. Wood aesthetics with a private room and seated bar. Two gender neutral restrooms available. Rather crowded even on a weekday night.
Abysmally slow service. It takes forever to have your order taken, then it takes a long time to get your food then it takes an even longer time to get your check and pay. Been there two times, never going back. This is also the *breakfast* restaurant for the nextdoor curio hotel. It is does not provide acceptable service for a hotel restaurant. Skip this restaurant, and statuses members of Hilton should stay elsewhere unless you want your entire morning wasted by employees who don't care.
Friendly service, tasty food and zero corkage Sundays!
Food is not bad, server might wanna be more helpful.
The waffles I had were very good. When calling for reservation the staff disclosed the wrong information when the brunch menu goes into affect, so we were limited to the breakfast menu which was disappointing.
The music is great. The ambience is amazing. The brunch ties everything together with their wonderful food selections.
We've been here on several occasions the food is always great friendly and helpful staff. Me and my family love this place!!!! The brunch is also great!!!!
Very easy going waitress. From face value, the dining room takes you into the past. Very nice settings. The food was decent as well.
My girlfriend and I booked our Christmas dinner at Bedford & co based on the fantastic reviews and menu. Unfortunately, our experience was one of the worst we had during our week in NYC. Despite booking weeks in advance (and having a confirmation call a few days before) our reservation was non-existent when we arrived. They seated us anyways as there was space available. From then on the service was not what you would expect for the atmosphere and rating. Our waiters (we were "handed off" halfway through our meal) were pushy about drink orders and didn't check in other than when bringing the next course. My girlfriend's "medium rare" steak was extremely well done the first time around, meaning I ate alone while they cooked her a new one. The desserts and sides were equally overcooked and dry. And as a bonus, we got to share our Christmas dinner with a little mouse who ran over my girlfriend's purse and across the restaurant to mark the end of a disappointing meal. 2 stars because the food wasn't terrible (pasta and properly cooked steak was good).
Good food, great vibe, excellent staff. 5***** at lunch. Breakfast 1 star. Bad service. Food came incorrectly more than once. If you like your servers staring at their phones, getting your order wrong, and ignoring you. This is your spot.
Got a deal for 2 people for brunch, food, and unlimited mimosas for 90 million for $39 total. Once we got there, the menu we could chose from was limited. If we wanted to order from the second menu, it was a $5 upcharge per person (it was written clearly in the terms and conditions). Our server was super nice and helpful. I ordered the steak and eggs but I wanted fries instead of breakfast fries and he said no problem. All of our food came out accurately and quick. Everything tasted amazing. At the end the taxes, tip, and up charges were added on the check and handed to us. It was a great brunch.
This place always delivers. They have excellent dishes for fair prices, there are no long waits even when they are packed.
Was the food good? Yes. Was the place nice? Yes. Was I completely disguised when I got home and found that they included a 20% service charge on my bill? Absolutely. My bill came to $256 for 6 people and they included a $51 service charge equal to 20%, bringing my pre-tax bill to $307. They did not tell me this. I then tipped an additional $65, a generous tip (and more than their 20% service charge), but due to their duplicity I ended up tipping 40%. This is completely disguising.
Staff is phenomenal here the cater every whim and need you have
Very noisy place, but the food is good. We did not have to wait for the table. The order takes a reasonable amount of time. The waiters are friendly. But the noise is unbearable- very bad acoustics. The atmosphere could use an upgrade.
Had high expectations for this restaurant but turned out to be a disappointment. Space is very small (can't tell from online pics) and dingy looking. This was a brunch visit and drinks were okay. Food was mediocre. Ordered the steak dish and literally 3 bites of steak on that plate, tasted rubbery. Chicken and waffles, waffles were delicious, however, the chicken was caked with so much batter, it was too nauseating. Better brunch spots out there that could satisfy your weekends. Wouldn't recommend this one.
One of my absolute favorite places - the oystwrs at Happy Hour are amazing!
Excellent service. Good space for work drinks, they have a spot in front that's great for 12-15 ppl. Duck breast was amazing. Serve breakfast starting at 6:30am.
Food is OK but the place is very cool and service is attentive. Fun spot for a drink.
Really dug the bar. We were guests at the hotel(Renwick) & stopped in for some cocktails and we loved it. The bartenders are amazing and cocktaila wwre extremely tasty. Check em out !
Good was delicious but the service was pretty terrible
Nice cosy place with breakfast options from all over the world
Portion looked small at the beginning, but it was not! Food was amazing :)
Fantastic, trendy restaurant. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was delicious. Head-on shrimp was a great starter as was the wedge salad (abit heavy on dressing though, will ask them to go easy on dressing next time). Chicken for the main was bang on, I loved the garlic touch and fancy mushrooms.
Good food and a quiet low key atmosphere. Pretty good brunch with the possibility for bottomless
Amazing food. Cozy vibes. Beautiful aesthetic. Great chef and amazing waitors.
The prices were very reasonable for NYC brunch. Food was not great. But if you just want to drink mimosas, this place is perfect.
Nice environment I go there like once a month I know the bartender Erick awsome person I love the service and in the kitchen smurf he's the best
Food was mediocre. We went there for unlimited drinks for brunch and that was the best part. Otherwise it seems like a date spot not appropriate for a casual group of friends on a weekend.
It is a bit eclectic and unique, but very comfortable and pleasant.
Nice looking place. Very comfortable really fun crowd, especially on weekends. Food is exceptional. Service can be great or terrible from day to day. Usually better at night.
