Read the bad reviews. They are spot on. We will never stay there again. Staff has no interest in their guests, Wi-Fi never worked, they have one phone in th entire place for everyone to use which is 1$ a minute, zero cell service, outdated rooms with back breaking beds. We will be going to Arrowhead lodge next year.

First of all the man at the front desk was not friendly. Ac did not work in first room so had to move. Place is somewhat clean. Beds and linens at least. Rather smelly in halls and other areas.. Ask for queen beds got double.. not even comfortable. Pillows are awful. Seen better days. Lived through the night. Breakfast was terrible. The biscuits and gravy the worst I've ever eaten. The only good things we found here were the waitress and the coffee. This place needs major TLC and a new crew except for the breakfast waitress

Very good food, helpful staff and attentive service. PS... Try the sweet potato fries!

10% chance of getting WiFi, no service so $1/minute phone calls and hot tub is not cleaned often enough, room was nice and beautiful stall art though.

When we camp in the Big Horn we stop in for a Meal and to get fuel if needed. Food is good (Nice Walleye), the service is spotty as the waiters are seasonal. Had a good one the last time we ate there. They have a good selection of pies to finish it off. Nice place to get a respite from camp food.

Stopped in for a beer & a burger while on top of the mountain. Cozy place with wood fireplace, good beer/drink selection & great food. Had the jalapeno burger followed by some amazing coconut cream pie. Abigail did a great job taking care of me from behind the bar. Will go back when i visit the Bighorns again.

Diesel is available, the forest service water pump was down and we were able to get water here for a fee. Great Rueben sandwiches.

The first part of this year my son and I booked a room for 3 nights to come 4 wheeling in the Big horns. The guy said our reservations were made. Today I called about the rooms and the woman said there were no reservations made for us in the system. My son and his fiance were going to be traveling from North Dakota and his fiance requested the vacation time off to come. The woman said there were no rooms available for those dates. If the guy would have made the reservations like he said he did, we wouldn't have had a problem. This is a very poor way to run your business and we are very very disappointed! I have called other motels and they are booked up as well. This should have never happened!

Awkward experience at the restaurant to say the least. Went in and waited just like the sign said to be seated. An older lady walks up and just stares at us for a moment, then says "well is there a place you want to sit??" We had no idea she was even talking to us! No "hello" "welcome, how are you doing " literally not a word! Weird! So she gets us a table and doesn't say a word and walks away. Then some other guy shows up and takes our drink order, he comes back with it very promptly, we say thank you and he can't even be bothered to say a single damn word to us. Whatever, we thought, let's look over the menu and try to find something. We start looking at it and then the lady who sat us shows up with two waters?!?! She takes one look at us and huffs and runs off to the kitchen. She then comes back and slaps her order taking pad on the table (without a word to us) Um. Okay? I guess that means you're demanding our order????? So in the short time we had with the menu we just wanted to be done there, but we recanted and ordered a "One trip salad bar" each and then just a combo appetizer platter. The rest of the menu was mainly a variation on a burger patty, variation on different chicken sandwiches and some random actual meals. Then she comes back with the food and we ask politely for a cup of ranch. She runs back and slams it on our table, we say "thank you" and she just keeps running.

Now it seems like maybe this place is short staffed? Only cares about large tables of people ($$$) (since the male waiter was VERY attentive and kind to a large group that came in after us). Then we get a handwritten bill (what century are we in?) And she just leaves. So....do we find the register, wait for her, just NO direction on what to do. Very frustrating and awkward. The clerk at the check stand was decent. We decided to walk through the bar on our way out and the bar tender eyed us up like we were criminals and followed us out the door. Like I said....weird...

This place could be something really unique in the Bighorns, sad to see it like this.

I know that this particular lodge is for sale and the owners are trying to focus on the Elk View Inn, from what we've heard as locals in Sheridan. Can't comment on the lodge, but if it's anything like the restaurant service, you'll never see us stop by.

They charged $20 to fill my RV with water which seemed very steep.

We stayed 7/12 - 7/15 at the Lodge. We had 5 rooms. 3 rooms never received any housekeeping the whole time and in room 102, the handicap room, the floor was soaking wet and we mentioned it to the front desk and nothing was done and no one inspected it, however they did take 20% off the room. We talked to someone in bookkeeping, twice, and they said they would call us back and our calls were not returned. I will never stay here again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

If you do go, bring LOTS of bug spray. The mosquitoes are awful. But we know that's not the lodge's fault.

Service was sporadic and inattentive. Food was okay at best. Would rate it a 2.5 if I could. Will not be going back.

Called to check available and the person who answered the phone had zero customer service. Very rude, not welcoming and a bad attitude!

Didn't stay. Only stopped to ask about ATV rentals.

This place is absolutely amazing! The staff is so nice, the food is delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. We tried the rocky mountain oysters and they were scrumptious. The ATV rides were breathtaking and you really see so much wildlife. We even saw some moose! 10/10 will definitely be back.

Went snowmobiling with Family, had a great time. We rented a double cabin and it had more than enough room for everyone, plenty of supplies to do our own cooking and very comfy beds. Snowmobile rentals were easy and informative and we were off and running quickly. Highly recommend for your family vacations in the future. Cabins had some wear and tear from some partying but nothing got in the way of having a good vacation.

Looks rustic. There are restaurant, bar, gift shop and toilets. You do not necessarily have to stay in lodge to use these facilities. Many parking spaces, makes a good impression.

Great location. Only restaurant in the area. Hope someone buys it and gives it some tlc.

Its about 30 miles outside of Sheridan. But the nice drive up into the mountains was great. Stopped in ... great food ...great people!! Well worth the drive!!

A group of some friends and I came to Bear lodge to enjoy a dinner and hot tub. The dinner was wonderful and the waitress was very nice. Our night was ruined when we had to deal with Jon at the front desk. From the moment we paid for our dinner he was so beyond rude and used fowl language. I can not and will not request my friends and family to stay there summer or winter.

They were very helpful when we were there, will definitely return

I have to say of all the times I have been there I have never felt so unwelcome. Except for a few employees, They where rude. When we left the lady at the front desk (who takes the money) huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes as she nit picked our Restraunt Bill. She even made the comment the waitress "must of been giving us a break". After she retailed the bill it turned out to be cheaper than the original charge. The poor people behind us couldn't believe what she was doing it was almost like we where interrupting her time. And let's get to the rooms. I know it's rustic but come on you can up date some things. I'm sure the couch was my great uncles from the 50's and the mattress where pulled from a fort I built in 1985. The shower head didn't work in the bathroom. The pool area is in dire need of a bunch of repairs. I have to say this if I was a business owner especially a bar restaurant and hotel,my employees would not be allowed to drink in the bar after work. Unfortunately I will not be staying there ever Again. I can deal with the rooms as they are but the hole thing with the Restraunt bill thing, done it for me.

Only ate at restuarant. Staff was very friendly and prompt. The vegetable beef soup was wonderful! Average price for meal.

Food was great! Waitress very attentive. Plan to wait to be seated. Plan to wait to check out. it's going to be a looong meal!

Nice place to stop and have lunch while on the mountain

Bear Lodge is a unique experience nestled on top the Big Horn Mountains. Great place to enjoy all Mother Nature has to offer!

Stopped for lunch, great food, decent prices, try the PIE!!

Got snowed out of an elk hunt and stopped in here for breakfast. Prices comprable or better than even places on Sheridan, despite it's isolation. Friendly staff and good food. Excellent thick cut bacon. They have wifi, but it's slow like would be exoected. So just for checking emails, not watching Netflix. Nice spot. Will return.

Rooms are good, but the employees are top notch. Can't wait to go back!

Food was solid, service lagged a bit. Overall, a solid option if you need a restaurant meal atop the Bighorns.

This is my ABSOLUTE favorite place to stay anytime I'm in Wyoming. The scenery, the accomadations, the employees all make up one of the most memorable places that anyone could possibly want to visit. And Petey the bar tender is the most awesome

If you're tired of camping or just need a good meal, this place has you covered.

Family friendly and great snowmobiling. The lodge feels "old" when you first get there, but the service and employees make you feel like family. Location is super. Prices are great. Food is amazing. We've been there several times and LOVE it there. Will continue to return for years to come.
