My husband book our stay here for my birthday. They put us in a room with a full size bed with no head board. My husband is 6 feet tall and I'm 6 months pregnant. For breakfast they had cereal and coffee cakes. We paid 650$ for 2nites. We could have been treated way better at four seasons hotel. They really need to upgrade. It's not worth the money!!! It's a really disappointment!!!

I survived my first earthquake here and the hotel just like the earthquake was super exciting! The staff is super friendly and they do a great job of living up to the beach house element. Love the fireplaces and they do have a Blu Ray DVD player in the room for us film lovers! The views are amazing and you cannot best the views! #beachfun #hermosabeach #wavescrashing

I am a Hermosa Beach native, Arizona transplant. My husband is an Arizona native, Florida transplant. When deciding where to get married, when knew it had to be by the water. We ultimately chose Hermosa Beach as our wedding destination because of the beauty and charm my hometown offers.
John and I envisioned a small wedding on the beach, surrounded by family and friends. We set the date for 11.25.17, and began planning. Since my family is local, we typically stay with them. For the weekend of our wedding, however, we were hoping to have some space to ourselves. As we were fretting over what we could afford for accommodations, my mom asked what we wanted for a wedding gift. Thinking she would never go for it, we told her we wanted to stay at the Beach House for the weekend of our wedding. We were blown away and so excited when we received the confirmation for our room the next day!
When I told my mom I wanted to stay at the Beach House for our wedding, I had no idea what a blessing this request would come to be Remember when I said we wanted a small wedding on the beach? Well, our guest list ended up being around 60, and Hermosa Beach does not [officially] allow events on the beach. GULP. So I ll start this review with our wedding itself:
I didn t want a chance encounter with the police on our wedding day, so I started looking around for a casual, outdoor space on the beach to get married. I looked from Venice to Long Beach, and was finding nothing in our price range. As we had planned on getting married on the beach for free, anything beyond this was pushing our budget. I was starting to get panicked, and was desperate for an option that would work. I knew that the Beach House wasn t a space for weddings, but figured I would ask if they had any space- what s the worst they could say, no? Lucky us- they said yes!
Vanessa and Jessica helped me bring the wedding of our dreams to reality. The offered us the outdoor patio space (used for morning breakfast) for our wedding. It was the perfect place for our relaxed, outdoor wedding. Stunning views, and even better than being on the beach itself! They offered me assistance on the day-of from their fabulous staff, a day-of coordinator, and options for drinks/snacks after the ceremony. They even had indoor meeting space ready to go, in case there was inclement weather! Our wedding went off without a hitch, and was the most beautiful, wonderful, and amazing day of our life. We are so grateful for Vanessa, Jessica, and the rest of the team at Beach House for making this day amazing.
Every single guest raved about how amazing our wedding was, and any of our guests who stayed at the Beach House also raved about their experience there. So onto the hotel review:
After getting our room gifted to us from my wonderful mother, we contacted Vanessa at the Beach House about a courtesy rate for a small block of rooms for our wedding. They graciously offered us a courtesy discount, which we passed along to our guests. Vanessa and Jessica worked with us- and our guests- to answer any questions about the hotel, and ensure everyone had what they wanted. All of my guests were greeted warmly upon arrival, and had a lovely stay over the weekend. Every room was perfect, every moment was memorable, and our friends and family that stayed at the Beach House could not have been happier!
We would highly recommend the Beach House for your stay in the South Bay. And even though it s a little more money, we especially recommend a third floor Ocean Front room. TOTALLY worth every penny! The rooms are stunning, complete with spacious bathrooms, big Jacuzzi bathtubs, a cozy fireplace, modern amenities, a great little patio, and one of the best hotel beds I have ever stayed in! Thank you again to the Beach House, Jessica, Vanessa, and the rest of the amazing staff for making our wedding- and our wedding weekend- everything we could have dreamed of and more! We can t wait to come back!

Rude service, not welcoming, if you stay request ocean view but still not worth your money! Mask requried everywhere including elevator, not kid friendly.

A great family retreat at Hermosa Beach. One floor living... Almost ADA accessible. Great response time for any little thing that goes wrong. Great access to the beach.

Parking bad, had reservations and still had to wait 45 minutes BUT after that was enjoyable. Great view, great surroundings, food good but not great, real pricey and I do not mind spending money but then you need to meet the expectation

Just finished a 5-night stay. Beautiful hotel. Perfect location if you want instant access to Hermosa beach and a fun walk on the strand to Manhattan or Redondo. Jerry and his team gave us fantastic service. Definitely will return again.

This is easily one of the most wonderful hotels. The room itself was spacious, sparkling clean and packed with everything we could want. A refrigerator, a double hot plate, place settings and silverware made for a complete little compact kitchen-like area. The living room area with fire place was cozy and had a small outdoor balcony. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was very large and included a soaking tub, shower and large vanity all with high quality finishings. But the magic was in the details. The Aveda products, the beach chairs and towels to go, USB ports, and just the quality of everything. Best of all, THE LOCATION was incredible. Right on the water - it was dreamy. Also close to shops and restaurants. We ll be back.

The PERFECT location for a beach getaway. Exceptional beaches right outside your door. Fantastic food all in walking distance. We valeted the car and didn't touch it for 3 days. My one complaint would be the mattress quality. It's tough to get this right though and the location adequately makes up for it.

Extremely comfortable, perfect location and gracious staff! My husband and I were guests of the Beach House on Hermosa Beach for four nights. We had every room amenity possible, in fact, the room felt like an apartment and our view of the beach was lovely. The hotel is in the perfect spot for is walking to every sort of restaurant and bar and quaint retail shops. In fact our favorite spots for dinner were Steak & Whiskey, The Bottle Inn, Hook and Plow and then we went to the Comedy Club and the Lighthouse for entertainment. It was all wonderful. We will definitely come back again! If you want, or deserve a destination for a night or two, the Beach House is it! :)

Stayed there when we were on vacation plan on going back in March the people are friendly the room service was great the best place we've ever sayed in California thank you for the great service Plus the plus the housekeeping are totaly awesome also !!

This hotel is very affordable. This is my go-to hotel for many years already. It has very nice surroundings and very well designs architecture that you will be amazed. The room, amenities, foods, and pools are very amazing and captivating. All of the staff are very welcoming and smiling too. This is a perfect hotel for me. Highly recommended!

This is a great place to stay with lots of great qualities and no negatives. Right on the beach with access to numerous activities. The rooms are large with a small kitchenette and great big bathrooms. Very clean and modern. All service people were polite, happy, and hugely helpful. They made sure that we had coupons for any activity or place we went to. That alone probably saved us $50. Immediate access to a beautiful bike path and the main downtown area. You can walk anywhere.

This is one of my favorite hotels. Right along the beach, with great view. Rooms are very spacious suites, complete with two-burner stove, microwave, fireplace, living room, and separate tub & showers. Only cons are: their "continental breakfast" is only pastries, cereal and coffee; the water isn't scalding hot for the showers like I like; and no self-parking ($27/night valet). Regardless, I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area!

We had an oceanfront room, right on The Strand. Great balcony for people watching and relaxing. The hotel is clean and updated. It's just a short walk to restaurants and boutiques.

Great hotel and perfect proximity to beach and restaurants. Room had large bathroom, king size bed, pull out bed, hot plate, microwave, mini fridge, etc. Breakfast is nice and fresh with good coffee and assortment of cereals, breads, bagels and pastries. My only suggestions are to offer some protein for breakfast, and offer secured internet access--but hey, the internet was free! Parking is valet, $25/day with in and out.

Our stay here was part of a company outing and the place seemed very nice from the reviews and photos which is why we picked it. When we checked in, everything seemed fine and the rooms were nice. The hotel is right off the beach so it's very well situated.

The bad - the hotel is 3 buildings with an driveway connecting to public streets. There are numerous drunk homeless people and lots of crazy people. That evening, we witnessed a really bad fight right outside our hotel room between 3 individuals which ended up with one person being hit in the head with a wine bottle and blood all over the sidewalk. The hotel didn't even hosing the blood off and in the morning, it dried blood was everywhere.

Violent crazy people aside, due to the beach proximity, there's also quite a bit loud drunk people so it's really noisy. As we walked back from breakfast, we noticed puke by the valet.....they didn't bother cleaning that up either.

The beach house was very nice, the employees treated us the the upmost respect and where as helpfull as they could be.

The rooms are relatively small compared to the nightly rate. The "suites" are not actual suites. The living room, "kitchen," and bedroom are confined to one small space in what seems like a 200 sq. ft room. The photos make the room appear more spacious than they are. Overall, it reminds me of a motel. Upon arrival, the bathroom had another woman's hair on the floor; however, the room was clean overall. Room service is terrible. They have two restaurants to order from in the hotel one of which closes extremely early (5pm or 10pm depending on who you ask) and the other one has a short menu. The menu displays incorrect ingredients which causes the servers to bring you the wrong order. The employees are sarcastic, young, immature, and unprofessional. The room never had enough towels, and they charge for simple amenities like a toothbrush that would otherwise be offered free at 5-star or any other hotel. I will not be a return guest at this establishment. This is by far the worst hotel i have ever stayed at. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

This hotel is in the perfect location. Steps to the beach and perfect views of the ocean. Our room felt more like a beach cottage with a kitchenette, fireplace, and large tub. Very clean.

My family's fav beach hotel. It has the best people watching including beautiful people playing volleyball everyday. The staff is amazing and provide everything needed for the best beach vacay including chairs, toys, towels, sunscreen and the best location. Close to great food and shopping.

The servers were very attentive but not over bearing and were always there when we needed them.

When visiting Sounthern California this is our favorite place to stay to relax! Great customer service from the front desk to the Maintnance dept.! Beach, restaurants and bars all within a block. Yes please!
