Good food and friendly service, but it's kind of dark and loud in there(raising my voice across the table). Accuracy could be better, but the staff is always eager to fix mistakes. It's a good place.

Service was slow and meals got mixed up staff not very happy

I have been coming here for many years and have yet to be disappointed. Food is always fantastic and customer service is exceptional.

Just had the most amazing dinner, cozy atmosphere, great service and both had the specials Seafood Risotto shrimp scallops and prawns and Bavaria Schnitzel covered with prawns,crab and bernaise sauce. Love this place!!

The food, staff, as well as the atmosphere ... simply amazing! The prime rib is scrumptious! Most certainly one of top three favorite restaurants in Abbotsford.

TUMOR STEAK
First went to bavaria awhile ago and it took forever to get seated even though we had a reservation we finally got seated without menus then had to track down the waitress to get menus then we had to wait 30 minutes to even order a drink and appetizer then another hour to recieve our meal wich was gross steak was well done and like rubber when it was supposed to be medium ..... Second time at Bavaria we thought we would give it another chance only to be sadly mistaken Slow service well pretty much no service and even worse food the lobster was cheap caribbean lobster and the steak clearly had some kind of mass or tumor on the meat and when we sent it back with one of the girls wandering around not our waitress cause shes no were to be found our waitress came back 20 minutes later not even asking if we want something else asked what was wrong we told her and she just walked away we stood up and asked for the bill got the bill and they charged us for 75% of the steak that we sent back when we asked about it the waitress she gave us attitude while walking away saying the owner told me to do it ... sad way to operate a business Bad food and horrible service if any at all .....

Food was really good. Bar tender was really friendly. Our servers did a good job there were a lot of us.

Great food, also quite accomadating as I am a vegan, they made my meal perfectly!!I Was sad they were out of the Hennessy that I wanted to try.

Delicious food in higher end setting (definitely recommend a reservation). Huge beer mugs are an option if you fancy that ..

Decent place for a steak but for the price there are better restaurants out there. Service is hit and miss. Had a waitress named Dani I believe, who provided very poor service. Didn't bring soup & bread and had a negative attitude throughout. Also, the front entrance stairs have a gross musty smell. Went a few times now but unlikely to return for a while

the stairs were a struggle however our server with the sleeve was amazing, made great conversation, checked up on us and made it a great experience. Will come back! Thank you for a great night!

A decent family style German restaurant. Giant schnitzels and good service. Soups were salty and the beer was limited though

I really enjoyed it. The booth we were at was very comfortable, and the food was delicious. I had the oysters rockefeller and steak and lobster, but what made my night was the black forest cake. I know it's not everyone's favourite cake, but that's because not all black forest cakes are like the one here.

Great place to dine! Stumbled upon this place with family after a tradex show in town. Was quite busy when we came in but got sat promptly, cozy atmosphere. Started with oysters, they were amazing! Steak was cooked perfectly and schnitzel portions were huge! Lots of variety to choose from. Wonderful service, really enjoyed our evening. We'll for sure be back!

In my opinion, the best place in town for a nice or special occasion dinner. Everytime we've been there the service and been fantastic and the food has been cooked perfectly. Forget The Keg, this is where you need to go for a great steak.

Tremendous value!! Comfortable surroundings! Filet Mignon to die for! I don't know why people still frequent the overpriced chain restaurants. The Bavaria is my new favorite place to just 'B'

It may look like your average neighborhood eatery, but Bavaria German Restaurant is anything but that!!

We heard through the grapevine, that this was a place not to be missed, so we all made it point to come and check it out. As advised by our friends, we set a dinner reservation (strongly recommended) and wandered in on a Friday night, and we were immediately greeted by the friendly owner and her staff and oh, the incredible aroma of scratch-made Bavarian cooking!

The restaurant was filling up quickly (it was almost 6:00 pm) but we didn t need to worry about snagging a table the reservations came in hand for this. Note, we love to dine later in the evening, but this place is sooooooooo hard to get reservations, we agreed to check this time out.

We ordered the kartoffel kas and two orders of weisswurst - heaven!

Then it was on to the main event, two schnitzel wiener - if you please!
We went this way simple to satisfy the longing for REAL schnitzel... the menu has a great balance of traditional and specials.
Side note: trust me when I say, we go here often enough now that the off the menu option are presented... yummmmmm - yes, please!

All of this food is over the top AMAZING.
It s as if, someone Oma is in the back cooking away... but only better!
Honestly, if you miss or ever held a wish to go to Bavaria to enjoy their cuisine, this is your first stop!!

Okay, now it s time for dessert (nachspeise)
Apfelstrudel (homemade) and the pfannkuchen are both PERFECTLY executed!!
The crust was crisp, flavorful, and a complete delight to round out this dinner.

Andy had the pfannkuchen and I had the apfelstrudel - truth be told, the servings were a bit too generous, but this is the Bavarian way... leave them full AND satisfied.
By the end of the meal - we were planning our next visit.

Don t let appearances fool you the decor may be humble, and the location is definitely out of the way, but the food and staff are fantastic, and it all comes together to make you forget you drove allllll the way to find them.

When you leave, you ll be happy to know this hidden gem is for those in the know .
Finally, the Bavaria German Restaurant is perfect for small groups or a casual date night.
Go. Enjoy. Repeat!

This is base on the service. I have been in this restaurant many time but pur last two visit made us to not going back there again at least for long while. I love the food there but there is a lady around late 40 s(i dont know exactly what is her position at the restaurant .. from the way she act i could say maybe the owner or the manager) was giving redicullus serves to me and my partner.
Our last wisit there were saturdays in a week part.
The first saturday we order one extra butter but we never recieved it because this lady was told the server she already took care of us. Also every 5 minutes she was visiting our table and asking if we were done eatting. We went to reataurant to enjoy the night and dinner to to be distracted evey give minutes and beign annoyed with putting rush on our dinner.
Our last saturday visit was horrible than first.
First of all we were ignored about 30 minutes to be asked what we like to have as a dinner.by the way the women did not come by herself she took our order when we say what is going on we are here for 30 minutes and u already started to serve another table who came after than us. Her reply was im sorry i did not know if you are ready or not. If you wont ask how would you knoe?..
Any way she took our order when we mentioned that we requested extra butter last weak bit we never recieved it. We regursted again one extra butter in total 3 for two different dishes.
She send the table 5 butter like she was trying to imply something. Literally 5 minutes after the salad arrived she came and asked if im done with the salad. The god give you eyes so insted of making me uncomfortable u can see im still eating and i just recieved eat without buttering me get away from the table. It wasnt the her last visit after that she visit our table every 5 minutes to ask if we are done the dinner. When i said im still working on it she was saying no rash ... what a joke. Dinner was good but with her distraction i did not enjoy it at all

Fantastic Steaks! Certainly one of the best places in town for a good dinner! They also have a nice collection of fine wine and the service is good!

Everything is always amazing, from the food to the service. Their prime rib literally melts in your mouth!

My husband and I have been coming there for dinner for many years and never a complaint, but this time im sorry to have to mention I was not very satisfied with the meal I ordered. I had the 8 oz prime rib Oscar with garlic mashed potatoes only to taste the potatoes and much to my surprise they were boxed instant potatoes and overly salty. Not to say I wont come back but will never order that paticular meal again. Disappointed

This is definitely a hidden gem of Abbotsford. Cozy feel with elegant food. The prime rib was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed the prawns as well. Staff were friendly and very helpful. It also has a good cocktail and wine list. This will definitely be one of our go to date spots

I'm not sure what all the hype is about. I got a steak and I would say a Keg steak is better. Risotto needed more flavour. Sides were good. Nice atmosphere and good service. Definitely not vegetarian friendly.

If you like seafood, this is the best place in town. Great staff, friendly service, their bartender is pretty talented too. Ask for a fire show ;) Definately would recommend friends and family to this place! It will not disappoint.

Terrible customer service (every time), but great food. I feel a lot of people don t know about this place.

My partner and I decided to checkout this restaurant tonight for the first time and we left impressed! The food was perfectly cooked, with large portions and great value. I got the Steak and lobster bake (cheese+lobster: need I say more?) and he got the B Schnitzel. They also give complimentary goulash and fresh bread. The service was exceptional and our waitress was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic-she really created a great experience! We will be returning soon.

I'll deffinently be back. Damn awesome food and very beautiful serving professionals.

The Prime rib(beef steak), it is lovely. Cocktails are worth trying ! I tried the Vodka paralyzer. It was good. I found the service and the servers a bit rude. But may be because it was a busy day. A good try in Abbotsford.

We had a nice dinner here. The servers were really friendly and knowledgeable. Everything came in a timely manner and the server even noticed and asked after a member of our party who did not eat very much. Clearly she was ready to make things right if she was unhappy. Luckily our friend is just a light eater and all the food was awesome.

We love this restaurant for special occasions. The food is outstanding and more reasonably priced than some of their competitors!

Tonight my brother, my sister-in-law and I had the pleasure of dining at the Bavaria. The food was delicious and yummy, the service and the friendly staff were appreciated. It was a birthday celebration and they really were very nice to us. Just love Dana as she treats us so well. Our waitress was very good and efficient.
Thanks Bavaria we will be back as always. I have been going to the Bavaria since 1977 and have always had a really good time.

we just had our dinner at Bavaria tonight and it was the horrible experience I ever had in my whole life!! From the manager down to the waitresses, they're really rude and no manner at all.. at first we ordered some appetizer and it took like 45 mins for them to serve it, somebody could have at least come to our table and said " sorry for the wait , we'll try our best to serve it quickly", u know what I mean, but our eyes are all white waiting just for the appy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I went infront and complained, and then all of a sudden the orders came out one by one,...!!!! after that, when the other main course was served, the waitress dropped the bread on the table, she just walked away and left it without even saying sorry.. SO, I went infront again and looked for the manager, so the manager was the bartender at that time, he's rude as well and very arrogant and doesn't know what's customer service means!!!!!!!!! He's a NIGHTMARE in short!!!!!

If I were u guys, I wouldnt waste my time, my money and effort to go and eat there!!! U will really have a horrible experience!!!!!!

These guys use bottled salad dressing, didn't eat my salad, wasn't offered an alternative. Server severed us food 4 times and not once asked us how everything was. Cuts of meet are good thou.

Fantastic schnitzel and beer special! Very satisfied every time I've been.

The wine was quite excellent, a bloody good meal, run by professionals.

Went to the Bavaria house for the first time in 20 years.will not go back !!!! the food was nothing worth speaking about except the over price, tasteless small portions. Not only was the service terrible .the waitress was so sarcastic and rude. I would give zero stars if I could .

I can't say enough about this gem! The flavors that come from the kitchen of this family owned restaurant are to die for. The service is empecable love love LOVE this place definitely recommend 5 stars all day!
