There was only one vegan option, so we had that and asked for a pizza without cheese. Both were sub-par and too small for the price. All of our friends had other meals, but all agreed that the prices weren't justified because the portions were so small.

Additionally we specifically asked for no straws in our drinks, but they still gave us straws.

The only positive thing I can say is that the atmosphere was nice there.

The food here is amazing and for a decent price considering the quality. The cocktail list is however one bitter note of pretension.

Delicious food with a great atmosphere. Not a place to get a cheap bite as mains will cost between $20-35 per plate, but a very nice selection with amazing specials and lots of fancy cocktails/mixed drinks. A perfect place to go on a nice date.

A must try! Food is amazing, service is always incredible! Great selection of wine at a reasonable price.

5+ stars! The Bauer Kitchen certainly lived up to my exceptions! The menu offered a variety of different dishes to fit everyones dietary needs. I started with an order of the confit duck wings with honey garlic glaze because everyone on google recommended it, and it was exceptional. The duck was tender, crispy and flavourful. I highly recommend the hemp salmon with orzo and veggies as a second dish. The dish offered a balance of flavour providing an earthy and citrus taste profile.The serving size was just perfect to accommodate dessert, a must! Our table shared the TBK sampler with a side of coconut ice cream and hot drinks. Everyone in our small group enjoyed their food. Our servers were excellent in helping us select our dishes and certainly friendly. The ambience of the restaurant was perfect for celebrating a birthday.The best restaurant in Waterloo! Highly recommend the Bauer Kitchen!!

Upscale quality dining. Plates are presented artistically but portions are small for the price. I have dined here many times and only once was I put off by being presented with under cooked fish they tried to tell me normal. Wasn't impressed with that and wasn't offered a fix when I simply did not eat the fish.

Great ambiance and top notch service, food was decent but a bit on the pricey side.

I appreciated the amount of vegetarian options on the menu! The noodle bowl I ordered was really good (and a lot spicier than I expected!). The waitress also let me know before I ordered it that their Kimchi was not vegetarian (which IMO it should be if you are offering so many other veg options). Their winter mojito was also super tasty.

Only complaint was that I was brought the wrong dish at first. The proper dish was brought out almost immediately which was great, but I hope there are options other than throwing food away when this happens as I hadn't even touched the plate.

Either way, I'm really looking forward to going back and also trying their veg brunch options as well!

I have been to TBK several times over the years, mostly for desserts (please bring back the og cheesecake!) The desserts are always outstanding. The ambiance is really nice and the staff are very friendly, welcoming and just lovely. I highly recommend making a reservation because of how crowded it can get.

My friend and I went in for brunch earlier and we had the truffle frites (best thing I have tasted all month), roasted chicken garganelli (velvety, warming and delicious, perfect for cold weather) and the rancheros bowl (healthy and super filling).

We paid around 30$ each which I felt was okay for the service and the food we received. They also have a nice bakery area where you can grab stuff to go.

Update: I also had their dessert board. SO AMAZING legit foodgasm good

Good food... at least my "half chicken" with side mushrooms was delicios. A bit pricey though... , but woth it.

This was our second time at TBK and it has yet to disappoint. The steak was AMAZING ! Service was exceptional. We had Becky G as our server and she was lovely! Very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend and will go again!

Ordinary. Was expecting more. Make reservations or they give you a crappy table. Food mediocre. Had a pizza. I've had better pizza from 2 for 1. Waitress didn't bother asking how the meal was.

A bit overpriced for what it is but the bakery next door has the best coffee in the city.

Always a great spot any time of day. Its apparent the Bauer Kitchen uses high quality ingredients in all of their menu items. Highly recommended. Try the Gnocchi and the always classic Bauer Burger.

Very nice vibe at this restaurant. Great place for meeting up after work or for a date. The salads were actually very filling and delicious! The drink menu was huge as well.

The appetizer was just ok, and the rest of the meal was good but nothing that sets it apart from other restaurants. The ambiance is nice and the service was excellent, but in the end it comes down to the food.

Went for lunch on a Friday afternoon and had the fish and chips. The meal and service was excellent. Great selection of local craft beers (which we enjoyed) and wonderful atmosphere. The meal was a great portion and tasted delicious. We'll definitely return.

Really good food but a bit pricey. Staff were great, seated quickly didn't have to wait long for service.

Thoroughly enjoyed our takeout meal for Valentines. The food was delicious!! So easy to order online and book a time to pickup. Delivered right to our car after we arrived. The food was packed and labelled well. Loved the Valentine stickers and card on the bag. So cute and thoughtful. Can't wait to come to your restaurant when you are open again!

Terrific service, fantastic food, and really nice ambiance. I went to this place for brunch and will definitely will be visiting again for dinner and to try more options! One of my favourite places in the area.

Great service and the food is good. The menu isn't particularly creative, but everything I've ordered was really well done and prices are reasonable. Cocktail menu is quite good too.

Disappointed with the temperature of the good. Both mine and my wife's food was barely warm. The server Nicole handled it very well. And at the end discounted our meals.

Decor is nice, customer service is friendly and relatively quick. Expected very high quality food, but it was not on par with other restaurants for the price. For appetizers, our table tried the duck wings, lamb meatballs and baked cheese dip. Duck wings had a nice sauce, but were overcooked. The meatballs were average, but the baked cheese dip was really good. A few of us got steaks, I got the salmon. The steaks were made well, but the salmon was a bit dry.

Consistently good food, inconsistent service and very loud on weekend nights.

Great atmosphere and uniquely decorated restaurant. Food is delicious especially Bauer Burger (Best I've Ever Had!). I always enjoy my spending my time here.

I was here for a business meeting, so we were in a private room. Our server was very friendly and professional. Only downside was that I ordered a medium rare steak that came out medium well.... Maybe even more so on the well side. By the time the server checked in everyone else was done eating so I didn't want to get something else to eat and be the only one editing through our meeting.

The lighting was poor. During the course of my meal they were turning the light brighter and then lower then brighter then lower??
There weren't many non meat options. The prices are also off $17 for a cheese and sauce pizza is way too aggressive. Service was also a little dicey.

The Bauer Salad with salmon added was very light and yummy! Definitely try the sangria (it's large) and don't miss out on the aloe tonic (pictured)

I really like this place and, having a family with different eating preferences, I really appreciate they have a delicious plant-based menu.

Amazing egg benedicts for brunch. We tried the traditional and prok belly and they are awesome..the ambiance is nice and staff are super polite and respectful . Will surely be back.

Wonderful service, great desserts and drinks. I didn't like the main dish and the appetizer (duck wings) as much as the desserts and drinks though.
+ It was our anniversary and they surprised us with another piece of chocolate cake!

We go here a lot for nice dinners. We always get great service and good food. Definitely recommend the pastas.

Whenever I come to Kitchener, I need to come here. Tonight? Baby back ribs with slaw. They were so tasty and tender!. Great sauce and a sprinkling of pistachio. If there's any suggestion for improvement, I could do with less sauce in the slaw. But that's it. Great, friendly service.

We went for a Sunday night dinner, a little under staffed. Management should review their Sunday evening service. The staff listened to my concerns and was accommodating.

I asked how large the portion the fish and chips was for lunch and was told it was generous. It was one piece about the size of a credit card. Spent $30 on lunch with drink and had to go to McDonald's after so I wasn't starving all afternoon. You're paying for the decor.

Steak is good, tastes like torch flavor, it's really special, but pizza is a little bit dry and hard to chew

Excellent food, service is friendly, genuine and upbeat. I've done brunch twice now & both times were phenomenal, homemade biscuit for my eggs benny was the sinker for me!
