This is a must see. You see how the men and women live eat and work on a large ship. Its so big, it's amazing it floats at all.
Humbling, awe inspiring piece of history. Great free tour, and a chance to explore on your own.
Wow! If you like History, you will love this! I love the self tour audio devices. Brilliant idea. Totally worth it. You won't regret it.
It would be 5 Stars, but a lot of refurbishing going on, and it seems like the price should reflect a discount while under construction.
Loved the tour of the big Mo. I did the extended tour which includes a look into a turret and a dive into the engine spaces. Great. However I was disappointed that you can't see the bridge or get up into the superstructure. That's a big disappointment. Also a lot of the ship is off limits. And the entire superstructure is under wraps for renovations until SEP 2017.
I live history and this shop had some vey important history to be proud of. A must see when in Hawaii.
What can i say about the Mighty Mo except do the tour.
Amazing, and incredible to see and hear some of the history of this ship.
Just amazing. The tours and sites are so interesting and well presented.
Amazing!!! Really makes you have respect for our military and our history
This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that every true American should visit! A crucial and huge part of our history back everyone should educate themselves on! What can I say it was awesome but at the same time very sad and humbling. Thank you to everyone and their families who are active non active retired military and those that were victims of Pearl Harbor! I love you all thank you very much!
It was fabulous and informative. If we hadn't been in a private tour with a schedule we would have stayed longer. 11 year old was mesmerized. 9 year old made it through without meltdown
An awesome piece of history to visit with great access to many parts of the ship outside and in.
Great tour guides avaliable and tours happening all day.
A lot of it was closed off and it is very over priced! I felt like it was a huge wast of money.
The tour guide, Joe, was very detailed and informative. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. After the tour we were on our own to explore the battleship. I got pretty emotional knowing everything that had to have gone on in that battleship... my 11-year old was very entertained with the whole history lesson that he didn't even know he was getting. Overall: extremely pleased.
Very well done. Star reduction due to accessibility issues for those in my party
As soon as I walked in the clerk noticed my service hat and approached me to sign their "hero book", then presented me with a gift from another customer "to a Veteran". I was taken aback. Thank you.
A must see! We went on the 4th of July for the entire day! Even stuck around for the fireworks which was a once in a life time experience. Heads up though, you cannot take any bags on the ship they will make you leave them unattended on the pier. Also, be sure to get there early for a decent spot if going to view fireworks. Our tour guide was amazing during the day!
Truly an amazing piece of American history, highly recommended for anyone out here.
Beautifully maintained museum. This ship has seen so much from WWII straight through to the Gulf War. All these actions are expressed here and standing on her decks you can feel part of history. The tour was well worth it. They take you though many parts of the ship so you get to see exactly what it might have been like to live on the Mighty Mo for weeks at a time. Their is a small set of displays inside that also shows you slices of the life aboard ship during her long history. As my grandfather was a plank owner on her sister ship the USS Wisconsin, this was especially impact-full for me. I highly suggest you take time to visit if in the area.
Tour operators were very friendly and knowledgeable. Great views from the top.
Military discount, guided or self guided -audio tour. Full of history and memories. Knowledgeable tour guides. Scenic n great picture opportunities.
Absolutely amazing and breathtaking remembrance of all the amazing men and women who gave their lives to allow us to be free and feel safe.
Love the history... Didn't have any food but it smelled good.
Pretty amazing! We didn't a chance to get over to the Missouri as we ran out of time. But we got to see if from Pearl Harbor Memorial.
Fascinating that so much is packed into the space. Need to take time. Could easily spend the whole day w/4 museums. Arizona memorial is sad yet inspiring. USA!
This is the place I most wanted to visit in Hawaii. It is a very cool word with a large scale. It can be said that this is also closely related to Japan, and it may be said that it is a folklore who can tell the Kamikaze Squadron today. I'm glad I can climb to the top.
Awesome ship to visit. Very moving standing on the desk where Japan surrendered to the allied forces
Great tour. Would suggest going to see the USS MISSOURI if you got a chance.
Definitely worth taking your time to explore this wonderful, historic battleship.
Look at history! Think! It is a good chance to think about the world again!
I definitely recommend visiting the Missouri while in Hawaii! It is memorable! The volunteers who work there are extremely knowledgeable and friendly and are happy to share their experiences and stories with you. We took the more private tour and it was well worth the extra cost. Hard to believe all the history in this boat!
Very moving experience to visit the Battleshop Missouri
Tour guide gave superb narrative stories to bring history alive.
The 40cm gun was powerful
The inside of the ship is large and looks comfortable
The Mighty Mo was fantastic. The tour guide presentation was very informative and interesting. Loved it!
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. One of my favorites from my trip. We were the first people of the day so we had it all to ourselves. It was raining but not very hard so we didn't mind getting a little wet on the tour. They were renovating the teak deck in some places and seeing some of the finished areas was absolutely beautiful (especially in the rain when it was wet the colors were gorgeous). The history on this boat is amazing and I love it's proximity to the USS Arizona Memorial. Our tour guide Pol was the best!!!
This ship is a very significant historical artifact. Aboard it, the end of World War II was documented and visitors can stand in front of exactly where that happened. Taking a tour of the ship will definitely help you understand the ship as more than just a huge fancy warship, and instead as an industrial feat of its day. Ask the guides, info desk, or volunteers any questions - they're always eager to answer them and give you more than what you ask.
Had a great time with my son taking the tour of the ship. It was a fun time and a great experience with a fun crew that worked there.
This was an awesome tour!! Even with the construction going on, we had a great time, touring it on our own. They also have guides tours, but we prefer doing it on our own and being able to go at our own pace. There are plaques and markers along the way so we were able to read about each area. I suggest taking a bottle of water as they have water stations on board. They have drinks for sale but $5.50 for a Monster is outrageous in my opinion.
The Pearl Harbor program is more expensive than I thought, and if you see one, I recommend the Missouri Battleship.
Incredible piece of history. You cannot visit Oahu and skip this place.
Love it! It's just such an honor to be able to walk the decks of the Missouri and learn the history.
I will do it again if I ever get the chance just to support the preservation of this unique piece of history.
Come here if you ever get the chance and learn about those who gave their lives. Honor their memory.
The USS Missouri Memorial is awesome! Stand in the footprints where the treaty was signed ending World War II. See were a Japanese Kamikaze pilot struck the ship. USS Missouri stands watch over the USS Arizona, and it's absolutely amazing to stand on the teak decks of this glorious battleship! Many promotion and retirement ceremonies are held on the fantail of the ship. The guides are very knowledgeable and often have some personal connection to the USS Missouri, making the events they speak about all the more compelling. If you're on Oahu stop by the USS Missouri! You'll be glad you did!
Absolutely awesome. Can easily spend a couple hours walking around the ship.
Great tour guides. Recommend the guided tour over the self guided.
It was very easy to understand and helped by Naoki
I was surprised that the part where the Zero race collided is still carefully preserved.
As a Japanese, I am very glad to have the corpses buried deeply in the grave, and at the same time I want many Japanese who came to Hawaii to visit to remember that there were many American victims.
Pure awesome History, what else can I say. A simple of America's military and meaning to the world. The only country in the world to fight two world wars simultaneously in the Atlantic and Pacific.
This ship is awesome. Pay for the full tour you won't regret it.
Great to walk around an actual war ship. See the inside and listen to all that happened. See where the peace treaty was signed. Well worth a visit.
Only two complaints... bridge closed for high winds and no access to the fire control room (where they controlled the turrets). Otherwise a great place to tour living history.
Historic place. Our tour guide was great and the ship was really massive. I think it s worth a visit even if you don t get to see the Arizona memorial
Found out information never taught in school. Guides pleasant and knowledgeable
Well worth it. The staff are super friendly helpful and knowledgeable. It is a living history. And being on it as oppose to just viewing it is a somber awe-inspiring experience. A must do.
Love to hear the details of history that you never hear about. Pearl Harbor marks the beginning of US entry into war, Battleship Missouri is where the treaty is signed and the war ends. We were able to view where the sailors and high ranking officials slept and ate. This is a must see. The entrance fee is used to fund the operation and maintenance of this nonprofit. The entrance fee comes with a guided tour.
I enjoyed every minute, they have complimentary thours to tell you the history of the ship!
