Amazing Abbey in the heart of Bath. Well worth the visit. It is free to get into but it is nice to give a donation. Right now they are doing renovations to the floors that are going to take some time. You can pay a small fee to take a tour or the construction and learn about the renovations that they are doing. A must see treasure on any trip to Bath.

Beautiful Abbey and worth a visit, there were still renovation works going on when we visited during the Easter holidays so not all open. It's free to enter but staff ask if you would like to make a donation when you arrive. There are tower tours available on the hour that we could see people doing, we didn't do it this time but if I went back I would definitely do this, tickets were available in the gift shop.

This place is the uplifting centre of town - a place for thought and contemplation - but with a fantastic history. Find the plaque above the dado rail just by the Alphege chapel - see how old he was and how many kings/queens courts he survived. Lots more to find.

It's in the same square as the Roman Bath so it's easy to see this in the same day. It's an extra charge to climb the tower but worth it! Buy your ticket earlier in the day to ensure you have a spot. The climb is not hard and they split it up to make it easier. The view from the top is beautiful!

historic must-see, but much of it was under wraps when we went in mid September, central aisle all hidden with some portholes to look through and that's it, fine if you like staring at workmen hahaha

It's plain awesome. The fifth star is only missing because sadly the day I visited half the abbey was in construction. Will have to be back in Bath again in the future to visit the other half. The windows were the things that stunned me the most.

The site of the first King of England s coronation in 973, Bath Abbey has since had an intriguing and complex history. An abbey has stood on the site since Norman times, but it fell into disrepair until 1499, when Bishop Oliver King had a dream that instructed him to redesign the monument. This grew to a halt during the Dissolution of the Monasteries, but started again under Elizabeth I and developed into the astounding cathedral that it is now.

Stunning Abbey. Well worth a visit. Situated next to the Roman baths. Free entry, but donations very much appreciated.
Plenty of guides to answer any questions you may have. Small gift shop by the exit. Highly recommended a visit. Added pictures from inside and lite up in the evening.
