Stunningly cinematic! And the gift shop has lovely, charming items that are unlike any other souvenirs. Make a donation to help maintain this ancient, beautiful work of art! There are already plenty of photos of the building and sculptures, so I will share these framed tapestries that hang inside the Bath Abbey. (Bath was the best part of our Stonehenge+Bath Tour.)

Whether you go in for a service and go in with hordes of tourists. Enjoy the space. But I preferred when I visited for a service. That's when Bath Abbey is seen as it should be; as a living community of believers coming together to be with God and fellowship with one another.

It doesn t require any entrance fee but open to any amount of donations. The architecture founded long time ago but renovations are as good as the old ones. The marvellous stained glass work will catch your eye for sure. It is worth going inside the place and knowing about history behind every corner. They offer variety of gifts to buy from the gift shop too. Enjoy

An impressive Victorian abbey as there are many in England. Coming from Oxford and its cathedral, I was impressed by its ceiling, amused by the angels who climb the facade but I did not vibrate during the visit. Maybe work in progress blocking a third of the interior is for something.

Fantastic fan patterns on the ceiling and the up-and-coming columns! A harmonious architecture. Only at the moment the soil is torn open. Construction site due to heating with construction noise. Happy to visit! But no silence in the church.

Bath is the largest city in the county of Somerset, England, known for its Roman-built baths. In 2011, the population was 88,859. Bath is in the valley of the River Avon, 97 miles west of London and 11 miles south-east of Bristol. The city became a World Heritage site in 1987.

The city of Bath is full of beautiful old buildings, but nothing that compares to the splendor of the Abbey!
There is no fixed price for entry, just a donation of your choosing, which I think is very nice.

There are usually plenty of friendly volunteers wondering around the abbey to answer questions and give information.
For the more religious visitors, there are small hourly services, and all major religious events around the calendar.

Highly recommended a visit no matter what your religious belief.

My partner and I visited the Abbey after visiting the Roman Baths as they are so close to each other. It was interesting to see the Abbey, and the church organ is very impressive, however a large section of the Abbey was closed off due to restoration works on the floors.

One of the nicest churches of this style. It is bright, simple, and the architecture is wonderful. The choir is also one of the best, and the tower tours are both interesting and entertaining, especially at Christmas time when you get a mince pie and a mulled wine at the top, looking down at the lit-up Bath.

A very special old resort town. With lots of interesting buildings. Bath Abbey is a unique ceiling, quite different from the rest of England. Impressively large window stained glass windows, lots of beautiful carvings and organ to listen to in the day. There is really something to look at.
