Good place a little bit over priced and not worth it for some items. They have a better brunch then dinner. It turns to a very chill and relaxing bar during the night time. It gets pretty packed but the vibe is great.

Wow!! Just finished havimg brunch. Huevos rancheros, chorizo benadic, coffee, mango margaritas. The coffee excellent, margaritas even better :-), and both dishes were out of this world!!! A must the next time we are in the area. How can I forget the view!!! Wonderful brunch all around!!

Food was fresh and delicious! Great location. Great views. Loud music is played inside but there's outside seating. Great for a rowdy happy hour. But not too rowdy, there are bouncers. Great for dates but again sit outside. Great service.

What a view! This place is definitely in a great corner of Fells Point. Stopped in for lunch, very crowded and had a short wait (a few large parties were taking up half the restaurant). Overall the food is excellent (although their Fish tacos can be missed). The 3 for $15 is quite a steal (an app, including guac - a side salad - and 2 tacos!!). Brunch also looked like a good choice. The mixed drinks were perfect, just the right amount of punch and not too skimpy on the alcohol! Highly recommend. Service was decent, a little slow, but food service was on point - we had a 5 minute wait for food for our table of 5. If you're looking for a quick bite, or a place to hang and snack your way through the afternoon, then Barcocina cannot be missed

Awful! Waited for 45 mins for drinks then the meal took like an hour and by the time it got to my table it's super cold.... Not once, did our sever check on us. Mind you, it was only two of us! Never, ever going here again! The scenery and atmosphere is great but the service SUCKS!!!!

Nice vibe and excellent location, at this happening spot on the Fells waterfront. Great cocktails, lots of seating.

On my visits, the horseshoe shaped bar and large space were fairly packed, with a good energy-- but it gets loud if the outside doors are closed. The space is suitable to accommodate larger groups. There's a weekday happy hour.

Go when the weather is nice, the sides have been pulled open, with happy people filling the outside deck.

Food was ok. We were with large group & had a reservation. Servers had an nasty attitude. They didn't want to add table for all our people to sit. Kept saying empty tables around us we being held for another group with reservation 2 hrs away. Finally, 20 -30 mins after we arrived, manager had them add table & chairs so all our people could sit. Then server continued with her attitude as she brought food & drinks, making excuses about everything you asked her then ultimately doing it anyway. And for the record, by the time we finished eating & left, the OTHER GROUP still had not shown up. So why give us such a hard time about seating all our people when we arrived? I won't return.

Was there on May 27th. Terrible service, we waited an hour for some tacos, which never arrived. I'm glad too, because the reviews of the food are quite bad. Dumbo waitress disappeared for long periods (20mins). Amazed they are still in business. Avoid!

Great by Poor Standards. Waste of a great view. The waterfront will distract you from the overpriced and average food. $8 for a bowl of velveeta, oddly called queso black bean dip. Margaritas are good. Think of eating at a upscale Chili's, and paying Ruth's Chris prices.

Terrible place to drink. Every drink is made perfectly. So you'll be tempted to keep saying I'll have just one more. Bartenders are friendly, attentive, and efficient. Excellent place for swimming if you're from out of town. Showers provided but make sure to ask Ben for the key.

My Aunt was visiting and wanted to dine on the water so I chose Barcocina. We sat outside and a storm blew through forcing us to relocate inside to finish our meal. We where not offered a new meal even though our was soaked. We were almost done so no big deal but I was surprised that a manager didn't come over to at least check on the table. I asked for a drink to be taken off the check when presented with the bill and the waitress complied. I got my credit card bill today and see I was only charged for the tip. It would have been nice to know my bill was comped. That little bit of customer service would have gone a long way.

This is the place we always take our friends from out of town for Brunch. Bottomless mimosas is the way to go, and you can't beat the view. The hashbrown tacos are delicious, but the food is somewhat pricey and not in huge portions. This is an enjoyable place when the weather is nice and you can sit outside.

Very delicious. The Ricotta Waffles are great! The staff was attentive and the atmosphere was nice. Overall is a nice place. I'll give it another try.

Love the simple menu (which is digital via cellphone ) as well as location. On any good day, going here will make it better with the nice view of the water. With so many options in Fells Point, this makes for a perfect option for group gatherings or even a casual date night. With the summer being at its peak, it s great place to bring family & friends visiting as well. Drinks are very unique. My favorite is the Cucumber Crush has the best flavor in the Maryland!

I would rate zero if I could. Called in and made a reservation to Watch the World Cup early in the week. Was assured two things, 1. A view of the game, and 2. Game sound. Upon arrival, i found neither was true. We were placed far out of view to enjoy the game because someone had reserved the area after me. Upon asking about the things promised in my reservation, I was rudely scolded that they would never make such promises, as if I was the one in the wrong. You people suck and you're disorganized.

The view here is great!!! Inside was beautiful as well. I had a mixture of their different mixed drinks and they all were original and delicious. If you like Smokey or spicy, I highly recommend you stop in and try one of their drinks. The food was absolutely delicious, the veggie Quesada was AMAZING and the Korean tacos were absolutely mouth watering. Their crab quacomle is a must have appertizer. Parking was a little tricky but your in fells point, parking is always tricky there. This is one place you should definitely check it out.

Good food, good drinks, great view. Unfortunately, we won't be back. After waiting for a table for 6, we were finally brought to a 4 top -- but that's fine; new times, it's cool. We weren't stressed, happy to have a table. We were immediately told that we'd need to join the [long] line for To-go's to place our food order. This seemed unusual, but we were happy to oblige in order to get some dinner. But while waiting in line, we see that the other tables [the white tables] were being waited on by a server. As in... given menus, server at their tableside, writing down their order : SERVED. Interesting how that's only available for SOME clientele, at adjacent tables.

Affordable, fairly quick, decent food, rude hostesses. The seats on the water are beautiful. They really make it all just right. We had to really argue to get the seats we wanted, even though they were only about 10% full. The food was fine - not super creative, so probably to everyone's taste. Not spicy at all. Nevertheless we got a quick-ish bite, some cocktails and a view midday for less than $60 for two.

Went there on a Saturday night. Drinks were ok, but it was just so packed. I know it's fells, but in a weird way- just around the bar, there was seating open everywhere but it made it annoying to get drinks. We moved on but I'm curious to try this place during the day and get some food, has a great view.

Well we wanted to have a dinner and drinks at Bar...

Well we wanted to have a dinner and drinks at Barcocina for my sons 29th Birthday . The drink open bar packages was one of the things that caught our attention . We made reservations and got down their early with expectations of having a great celebration. Once we got their we were told that we could not take part in the drink packages, and begin to explain the resons why, non of what was posted on line. We asked to speak to a manager Mike Donovan who stated "well we can't post everything, wasn't apologetic and was exstreamly short and exstreamly condescending. My son said wow this was the main reason we came here, his response was well ok than have a good night! So i ask him with the party we have, was it anything he could do to accommodate us since it clearly wasn't posted, and what was posted to do(make a reservation, we did) He stated he was the co owner and its nothing, cutting me off and trying to walk away. I asked for his card , he gave it to me and sarcastically said "mam enjoy your night" as he walked away. I understand policies but in his position he could have at the least been KIND....He left me feeling bad and helpless to what was supposedly to be an awesome night.

Recently I visited Barcocina (1629 Thames Street, Fells Point), a Mexican-inspired restaurant with a unique food sharing concept.

On this particular Sunday, my best friend and I decided to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Barcocina is in a prime location in Fells Point. It's on the water with views of the harbor, tourists and all the weekend aquatic activities. Looking over the menu I noticed the different options for the Mexican-inspired items. There were six guacamole options, three salsa options and eight taco options. Some were very unique because I would never think to mix the ingredients. There was an "Eggs and Bacon" guacamole, and a "Reuben" taco that caught my eye, but I had a taste for the traditional American breakfast items. The traditional breakfast items also had a Mexican-inspired flair We ordered the Breakfast Quesadillas, Huevos Rancheros, Butternut Squash Enchiladas and the Maple Pancake Sliders.

The breakfast quesadillas were delicious. They were made with smoked cheddar eggs and crumbled pepper bacon and topped with sweet corn salsa and a sour cream drizzle. The huevos rancheros was good, my best friend liked them but my only suggestion would be to add more of the citrus sour cream. My favorite were the Maple Sausage Pancake Sliders, it was prepared like a McDonald's McGriddle but better. The Butternut Squash Enchilada was flavorful with fresh ingredients. We also ordered Jalapeno Skillet Cornbread and the Skillet Potatoes.

The cornbread was excellent!!! That was the first time I'd tasted spicy cornbread. I'm used to my cornbread being savory and sweet, but I liked the spicy kick. We devoured that skillet and wished it was a little larger because we both wanted more.

What we ate was fair. But just because one calls food Mexican and puts it in a taco doesn't make it Mexican. The only thing that tasted like Mexican was the salsa (it was good) and when I asked for it the busboy didn't know what I wanted, I started to spell it. He gestured to the chips (which were too thick and hard) we had with the guacamole. 2 stars because it was edible and I didn't get sick.

After walking by Barcocina time and time again, I ...

After walking by Barcocina time and time again, I finally pulled the trigger and checked it out once I started working in Harbor Point. Walking in at 5:30 reveals a bar rushed by happy hour goers and an overall pleasant atmosphere. During the warmer weather, the outdoor and patio seating is really nice-- the waterfront views are impeccable.

My biggest qualm with Barcocina was that it was difficult to get attention from a server or bartender-- the bar seemed awfully understaffed and placing an order took more time than it should have. Still, the bartenders were perfectly pleasant and made great drinks.

Overall, the food was good but it wasn't extraordinary-- you can find better tacos in Baltimore and drinks as well. A major gripe I had was a strange piece of plastic I discovered upon biting into one of my tacos. At first I thought it was a stray bone from the meat; however, there was a long piece of clear plastic in my taco (it looked like a prong from a clear, plastic fork). This should not have made its way into my food in any way. Still, I understand that mishaps occur and let it go.

Things I Liked:
Blackberry Sangria - This is absolutely amazing. It's a light, refreshing drink that goes down easily (it's a sangria, after all).

Kung Pao Chicken Tacos - These were really good - the chicken was cooked well and had tons of flavor, the peanuts really came through. However, the red pepper and citrus teriyaki really struggled to provide any flavor. Again, there was a hard piece of plastic in my tacos which was extremely deterring.

Salsas- The salsas are great and I definitely recommend trying them out. (go for a spicier one).

Guacamole - The guacamole is refreshingly simple and creamy.

Things I Disliked:
Buffalo Chicken Flautas- These just tasted off. The consistency was way off and the cheese simply didn't vibe with the buffalo flavor. I wasn't able to finish this dish.

Overall, Barcocina is a trendy Mex spot set by the beautiful waterfront. It's got a happening happy hour and decent service paired with great drinks. Ultimately though the food still needs polish and simply doesn't match up to the price you pay.

I was very happy with my meal here. The vegetarian options are superior. The mushroom tacos were heavenly. We also enjoyed fish tacos and the Elote dip - definitely get the Elote dip.

I consider their cornbread with maple butter dessert, and I really enjoyed eating it. Just a hint of spicy in with the sweet.

We waited to sit on the water and it was completely worth it. :-)

Great place!

I ordered a dessert that was really delicious and the server was great. I was really disappointed that we were told the only outside seats were on the sidewalk level. However, people were seated on the upper level near the heaters after we were seated. We were freezing.

My family and I went here for my birthday party. While we all enjoyed the appetizers, I felt like I was the only one who liked my tacos (mushroom tinga). My family members didn t like theirs that much, especially not for the price of it all. And it s also a very loud place, we couldn t talk much with each other.

The first time I went here was better than the second. The first time I tried their cocktails: I recommend the smoky ones over their sweet ones. The drinks were well balanced and delicious. The tacos I had were good but not amazing. However, the bean dip I had was fantastic, especially with the egg in it! To die for! Overall, I left happy. The second time, their cocktails were not so balanced and little uncomfortable to drink. i wasn't expecting how overpowering the tequila was going to be. I was highly disappointed with their lobster tacos. I was expecting a nice refreshing taco. Instead, I received a FRIED lobster taco. I couldn't believe the lobster was FRIED! It's such a wonderful ingredient on it's own. Instead of tasting lobster, which was pretty pricey, it tasted like a normal fish or fried shrimp taco. However, the bean dip yet again was the star of the night. Get That Bean Dip!

I normally wouldn t give this low of a star but I just had to raise some attention. I went to Baltimore for a quick weekend and stopped here because guacamole is life. I sat at the bar and chatted with the very nice bartender. I have a pretty crappy gluten sensitivity (but not celiac) and I asked about GF options. We literally looked at their allergens menu together, which was awesome. I ended up ordering guacamole and chips, tacos with corn tortillas and a spicy margarita. As I m waiting for my food I am drinking the extremely good margarita and a munching on a few chips and guac. Within no time I got my food. I started chatting with a few locals as I m eating my tacos when I suddenly realized the taco didn t taste very corn like. At this point I ve had one full taco. I asked the bartender and she checked... she found they gave me the wrong plate. Long story short I immediately knew I would be getting sick so even though she brought me new tacos, I got it to go and left. I was so disappointed that there was not more care shown. Also I paid $40 and I really only had a margarita and a few chips... i was too sick to eat the rest. I was also disappointed there was no discount or mention of it for the trouble. My only point in the review is to note that this business should be more careful. I m not one to get sick on gluten touching my food but straight up eating a flour tortilla has had me sick for the last week.

The food is exactly what you'd expect, and they have an extensive on-tap cocktail list, which is awesome. The view is wonderful. What's always irked me about this place is that they are policy zealots. Let's say you want to get one more happy hour drink in before 7pm (like I did.). Well, if it's 6:55 and the server doesn't think they can make it to the terminal in under 5 minutes, you're not going to get that last happy hour drink. Rules are rules I guess, but in a laid back city like Baltimore it feels out of place. Once I came in with about 12 people and was told that the dining room was not yet open. No problem, we can order drinks at the bar and enjoy them at the table until dinner service starts, right? Nope, it's against their policy. Things like that don't make you feel very "welcome," and feeling welcome is a place where most Baltimore establishments excel.

The place has a great location but the service was not good at all. We planned on sitting at one of their many free tables. A bar table top was our first request because the plan was to order drinks considering it was about 2pm and we were not hungry. They would not seat us until we agreed to order food. Once we sat down we ordered two (alcoholic beverage) drinks but they didn t bring out our drinks until we ordered an appetizer - even then we were asked to order some more food. The waitress was nice but the management policies are obviously making this place uncomfortable. I would not recommend. Not customer service oriented at all.
