Lovely restaurant and pool. The campsites are a bit cramped bit totally functional.
Lovely restaurant and pool. The campsites are a bit cramped bit totally functional.
Beautiful place to stay. Camping sites are big, each with a lapa. Ablutions clean. Just be careful in rainy season, then everything get flooded. Beautiful baobabs on site.
Very hidden we find it by chance but it is an oasis in the middle of the desert ... To make a charming stop
Great work on the meerkat conservation. Pray one-eyed Joe survives the eagles
The Lodge gives best activies like Ntwetwe Pan Overnights, Bush walks and Expeditions.
Well equipped, well appointed places, good restaurant, wifi not given, very nice camp with majestic baobabs, a little far (90 km) from Nxai Pan and Makgadigadi.
Staff was great, facilities were clean and its close to attractions
perfect place surounded with baobabs.they offered many tours.in surricats tour you can even touch them.
The overnight Salt Pan tour has been my most memorable travel experience. It's otherworldly
Nice place to stay or visit in gweta but 7 kilometer away from gweta if u are goto NATA
Good place to visit....you will enjoy your stay at Planet baobab....
This is areally interesting ad top over and I can highly recommend it. The baobabs are a must see the pool is fantastic. The pub lunches are really good. Try the burger one of the best I have had. The communal bathrooms are a big let down. Really good stop over.
I loved this place as it has truly a one of a kind and extremely beautiful setting. The baobabs are encouraged to grow there and are all stunning! Some have clearly been there for hundreds if not over a thousand or so years! What a spectacular place!
The campsite is well maintained and each one comes with its own shelter which is really cool!
Due to the absence of larger mammals in this fenced area the bird life is also quite incredible!
The pool is fantastic and natural to the point where various organisms live in it.
Thank you to the staff and teams working to keep this place lekker!
Unforgettable place. Food was excellent and the Kalanga huts and amenites were awesome. I wish I could have spent another couple of days surrounded by the magical baobabs.
Simple and small accomodation (the huts), not well maintened (not all lights a working). The special style is nice. Baobab trees are very nice and unique. We haven't join the activities. We booked in the internet for a very high price, and the offring was not clear; It was half board, I couldn't figure it out from the reservation. Wifi is free for half an hour only. Value for money less than expectations.
Nice hotel and friendly staff in lovely surroundings
We arrived in the afternoon and we had the chance to use the fresh water pool you stimule.belle campsite with a hut, electricity and BBQ, the water point is in the blocks sanitary nickel but a bit dark not far away locations. bar in its original form and beer bottle chandeliers for the restaurant must be ordered in advance if you want dinner. camping is a 5 minute walk down a path lined with spots that lightning baobabs
Nice atmosphere, and friendly people. Good food and big pool. Bad paid internet connection.
Nice place to explore the mak-pans from. Nice pool and decent food. The overnight quad expedition is something i d recommend. Those on tight budgets might want to look for cheaper options.
Well i went there for lunch, the service is good(very friendly staff from the gate to the reception) but the WIFI is charged and the food has no value for money, a burger for 90 Pula looks like a kiddies burger
After a day in the heat, jump to the large pool. Huge baobabs and small smurf huts. Staff very polite
The night under the stars after and before a quad ride before lounging in a cool pool after a hot shower ..... THE FOOT
I only stopped in for a drink and lunch, it was really quiet. I didn't find the staff welcoming or friendly. I feel that the establishment is very commercialised. Decor is amazing.
Good stopover, very eager, slightly overdecorated for my taste.
Through Planet Baobab, participated in an overnight open-air tour in Salt Pan's salt lake in July. The price is reasonably high, but I am impressed with the beauty of the starry sky beyond my expectation in a place where there is no light up to the horizon. It is worth a visit once. This is the first inexperienced experience of sleeping in a sleeping bag on the open air under a natural chandelier where the stars are likely to fall. Since it gets quite cold in the morning, cold protection is necessary. Also, be careful when driving on a salt lake with buggy, as it will be full of dust (salt) throughout your body.
It was a very nice camp and does stick up to its name. Unfortunately I could only spend one night here. It is very African themed. Camp has a nice swimming pool. There isn't a nice restaurant to eat at.
Very original place to sleep in a hut between the baobab trees. Large pool available. WiFi at charge. Dinner choice was limited, but the food was delicious. Staff was very kind. They offer a variety of excursion to the pans nearby.
We stopped in for a bite to eat and a quick refreshment on route to Maun. Service great and staff very helpful. Worth a stop
All ways a great experience at Planet Baobab. Guest love the place.
Great place with lot of activities to do from walk in the bush to discover the pan by quad and sleeping under the stars!! great staff too. highly recommended.
Yes, the place is great, staff is sympathetic and everything... but why would they put 2 different groups of campers in areas that are practically together if all other areas were empty? We had to stand these noisy people right by our side the whole evening and their shouting child crying during the night. That's unforgivable...
Awesome ; campsite very clean and nice ablutions
Bar and swimming pool : very nice
activities : meerkats and pan... nice
Great venue for a stopover as well as few days, you can use it as a base camp for a few trips onto the pans, they do drives, quads bush walks. No cell reception and wifi is available with 30min and you can purchase vouchers for longer times. Great bar and service, food is scrumptious and we'll prepared. It has an awesome swimming pool and some of the biggest baobabs on the premises with even a hammock set up at one. Great campsite and very well set up rooms.
We did the overnight tour to the Pans and this was a once in a lifetime experience for us. We highly recommend it, the atmosphere, the food, the "beds" were just great. We wouldn't recommend doing it with quads though, it's VERY dusty and you whether can see anything nor breathe nor enjoy the scenery.
Excellent decor of Sophiatown in the 1950s. Fine pool. Huge baobabs . Elephants. Spend a few nights or just as a stopover.
It was a wonderful stay! So unique and quirky. Absolutely loved it. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was fantastic and the activities - quad biking, the meerkat meet and overnight stay in the pans under the stars was spectacular.
Nice stop over, but camp site too crowded and restaurant food average... Staff very helpful with a trailer repair
A very unique experience. Food was excellent. Breakfast was a feast.
Large, well-appointed estate. Even if there are people, it does not feel cramped. Disappointed with the restaurant. The sanitary facilities on the campsites are very clean, with hot water. The bar is nicely decorated. Big pool. Paid wifi.
A truly stunning location.
Super staff, spacious and clean accommodation, huge swimming pool and massive baobab trees.
Restaurant offers good dinner, lunches and breakfasts.
The bar area is rather large and well stocked, bar counter layout is rather interesting.
Numerous activities on offer to the Makgadikgadi pans and surrounding attractions.
Well worth the stay.
Wonderful place! Make sure to go on their overnight trip to the pans, it is an experience you will never forget.
It's like an oasis in the middle of nowhere..nice pool and bar..its designed like the local huts, very pittoresque!!
Unfortunately very simple huts, tattered bedding, maggots in bed, Spartan furniture (table + 2 chairs) brick pedestals as beds. We drove on to Maun !!
Definitely worth a stop between Maun and Nata. Very friendly staff and a kitchen that prepares some good meals. They have wifi and a refreshing pool, for residents ONLY. I enjoyed the beautiful rustic huts and the impressive baobab trees make camping there very memorable.
If you have the time they offer some excursions into the Ntwetwe Pans and an exciting visit to see some Meerkats.
Don't pass the big Aardvark! Stop, you will enjoy Planet Baobab
Great oasis in Botswana. It has the biggest pool I ve seen traveling through Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe.
Camping sites are great.
This was the most spacious and well lit bathroom I saw in a while and there was hot water running.
A great place to relax after a whole day on the road.
Good place to see Baobab in a simple way, but very expensive accommodation.
Great Location, with beautiful landscape. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean. It seems like there is a lack of communication between the staff at the reception and the bar/kitchen.
Highly recommend the overnight trip to the pan.
Don't miss it! Go and hug one of those huge baobabs!
Camping facilities are some of the best I have ever experienced. The pool was awesome. Quirky tasteful relaxed environment. Professional management.
Did not meet my expectations!
Dinner ok, breakfast very minimalist!
I did not like the cabin and the furniture.
The most remote we were. Despite the lack of anything else there except for the baobabs, I could still have enjoyed many days there relaxing. Peaceful. The campsites are also very spacious with private shade bomas and ample fire pits.
This place is certainly different! The huge baobabs are worth seeing.
Price-wise it's out of reach for most South Africans.
Superb place, very nice welcome and quality services.
At least the bar and the pool made a good impression on our short stop.
Very nicely designed. Friendly staff and a huge pool to relax from the heat. Will for sure be back
Surprising place. Beautiful swimming pool. Good facilities and basic food. Only downside .... you have to pay for Wi-Fi.
