Amazing location. The food in the restaurant is reasonably cheaper, they have a good menu for cocktails too. Totally enjoyed the view of the sea from the restaurant. The servers are very friendly too. In addition, the restaurant offers breads and olive oil on the house which is not very common in Boh Phut beach.

We really enjoyed the stay, a big compliment to the staff especially Andy and Stefan for the insider tips, the service is very important! The breakfast left nothing to be desired, the dinner was with us (a buffet) unfortunately only lukewarm, and the bed I would have wished a little softer, my girlfriend it was great fit .. But we have really nice days spent here and would like to come again

Unfortunately, this hotel by no means the booked and promised performance. Very shabby, rotten wood wherever you look, loose bricks and uncovering cables at the beach bar. The pool villa was acceptable except for the lack of opportunities to accommodate his clothes. The pool is poorly cleaned and kept in good condition with tons of chlorine. Plasikgeschirr at the beach bar is not !!!! From time to time you should also invest! The location is ok. Only the very nice and dedicated staff make this hotel habitable.
On the whole not very recommendable. Unfortunately!!

Had a great time at Bandara. Very friendly staff, clean, and perfect location - lots of massage parlours, convenient stores and laundry services just across the street, 10 mins walk to Fisherman village. The pool is nice and big and we hang out there everyday. Most of all their restaurant offers awesome brekkie, Thai food, and generous happy hours - we had lots of drinks and meals there. Would recommend it!

Excellent service, very friendly and cooperative staff. We stayed in a plunge villa and the room was great, with it's own private terrace and a small pool, great to take a refreshing bath. Hotel premises are beautiful, fool of trees and tropical plants with many different flowers. Breakfast buffet is very good and in general food is also very good. Beach bar has a perfect view and offers happy hour every day. Hotel offers a seafood barbeque once a week with a big variety of see food. It also has a surf and turf night and a weekly market at the beach.
Staff is super friendly. Special mention to Lance who is permanently supporting the guests wanting them to have a memorable experience.we will definitely go back.
Thanks for everything. We were in a wonderful happy place.

What a wonderful week of our extended holiday! The Bandara is beautiful, tranquil and well organised. The staff are wonderfully helpful, attentive yet not intrusive. They remember you in the restaurant and at the pool bar.
Our stay was so relaxing and peaceful and the accommodation is second to none and feels like a Thai paradise. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this haven in Samui. I hope we can come back again some day soon.

Spotless grounds and rooms, friendly helpful staff. Beautiful beach. Faultless. If you want to brag you've been to Thailand without dealing with all the foreign muck and act like a slug in the pool or on the beach, this is the place for you.

A really nice hotel. We were here in the middle of their renovations and monsoon season.
I can tell you the hotel is well kept, clean and well staffed. The food in the restautant is pretty good. Prices were 150-180 baht for their promotions menu (pad Thai and other Thai dishes, burger and a few desserts), maybe like 250 for more expensive stuff on menu. Drinks are like 150/180 baht and are tasty, esp the smoothies.
There are 3 pools and another baby pool.
If you stay at the hotel you can try kayaking and windsurfing for free, so I'm looking forward to that as soon as the weather clears.
Also, the villas are awesome. Really awesome.

We stayed in Bandara for 1 week in February. We had booked a family room. The room is above average size, air-conditioned and very modern furnished. The cots are very nice and this area even delimited by sliding trend wall from the parent area. The entire hotel staff is always concerned about the guest and helpful in every imaginable location. There are also two German employees at the reception, which are always available to all guests. The complex is very nicely laid out but not in the last consequence barrier-free. This could be better designed. With prams you have to go detours, there are on the way to the pool or beach ramps. Even the kids club is nice and big - but the choice of toys is poor. The beach is grainy - but the hotel nothing. The price level is much more expensive than in the rest of Thailand. Even in the capital Bangkok, you get for the room rate a 5 star hotel. All in all, the Bandara is a recommendation and we felt very well!

Bandara Resort are really professionals. We spent a week there, and out of three resorts in our Thai vacation this was our favorite. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very varied and tasty. Rooms are well equipped and all this comes at a very reasonable price. Also good location, with a nice "fisher village" nearby with many dining options. I would highly recommend Bandara Resort to anyone.

Nice Hotel and really nice location unfortunately ...

Nice Hotel and really nice location unfortunately with some weak points
We (2 Adults + 1 Kid) are for 8 nights in the hotel and booked an absolute fantastic Plunge Pool Villa. A big bedroom, nice sitting area and indoor ans outdoor bath. We booked directly with the hotel and not a complete package.
I will give you in short what we liked and what we liked less.

We liked:
+ the Pools: 3 pools absolutely fantastic and huge with also fantastic views

+ the Bungalow very nice with own pool and sunbeds
+ close to the beach
+ the gym

We liked less:
- people reserve from 7 am in the morning the sunbeds (quiet common) but the hotel does nothing against it. Sometimes you see 40 towels blocking the sunbeds and only 3 people sitting there (for hours). This should be managed better.

- the housekeeping is ok but not always on a constant level. We needed to ask to get the coffee and tea filled up again after 4 days. One glass broke but we could not get a new one. They never cleaned the outdoor sitting area although we had several storms at night and plants lying around

- the breakfast for Thailand standards is not on a 4 star level. We travel for long time in Asia and Thailand and do not specially need european food. But the quality of the food, e.g. juices, fruits bread, Dim Sum etc. is more on a 2-3 star than on an 4 star level. Not a big issue for us because we do not eat much in the morning. But you should know.

Not rating for the hotel but the beach restaurant during happy hour 1800-1900. Must come please. Great but reasonable priced foods and buy-one-get-one drinks. Everyone must come here to dine. 1800-1900 is a happy hour beach dinner with a one-for-one, great and affordable price. Happy hour's last order is to place an order at 1645

Great location fantastic staff all very friendly and the location and view from the restaurant and beach bar is quite fabulous. The beach bar service can be a bit erratic. Overall I highly recommend the Bandara for anyone who wants a quiet relaxing time but is still within walking reach of the bars restaurants and buzz of town.

I enjoyed our stay at Bandara. The breakfast buffet was a bit stale/ dry at times but still lots of choice. We liked the Bandara beach market and ate many tasty meals there! It was also perfect for walking to Fisherman's village. Swimming in the sea wasn't ideal - it was a bit oily/ fill of jetski / boats etc so you are restricted to swim in a tiny area! There are lots of restaurants around so you have lots of options along the beach. The room was nice and cool with nice smelling incense.

I was there in may & loved every minute. Even though it is the slow season I had the entire beach to myself & the weather was fantastic. It is a short walk from the fishermen's village market which it quite good. I can't remember what day it is but I think it's Saturday night it goes on forever & the food is as always tasty.

The hotel is right on beach amazing staff. Pee,Stephan,Richard, Lawrance & everyone I meet you're in my mind thank you

Yes the hotel offers a little shuttle bus that takes you into town & picks you up in the afternoon.

Hope you're all well

The friendliest most hard working staff you'll find on Ko Samui. From the huge breakfast spread in the morning to the entertainment they put on in the evenings, you cannot fault their commitment to meeting your expectations.
The hotel complex is big. (Very big in fact) and the personal touch may be lost a little as a result of this. But they make up for it in other ways.
We used the resort as a base to visit other attractions on the island of which there are plenty, but if you wanted the kind of holiday where you desired to bathe in sunshine and order cocktails by the pool - you'd love it here.
My advice is to get out and see as much of the island as you can. Stunning beaches, markets, temples, elephant sanctuary, cooking lessons to name but a few activities on offer nearby.
But, if sitting by the pool all day is your thing- The plentiful staff will assist you by pressing the button supplied at every poolside and beach table.
The gardens are mature and we'll maintained, the rooms are clean and serviced daily, and the air conditioning works well so you can sleep in comfort at night.
We really enjoyed our stay there and would reccommend it.
A particular mention is due to the polite and helpful reception and security team.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Hotel was nice and clean and breakfast buffet was tasty with a wide range to choose from and a stunning beach view. Reception staff were always warm and welcoming. Only down side is the language barrier the staff struggle to understand English which was a little difficult but not a major hindrance in any way. Oh and the hotel Spa was amazing, lovely treatment and a beautiful flower and honey bath which I highly recommend doing in the evening when it s dark, really romantic. Definitely would return! Samui is a beautiful place!!!!

Amazing hotel. We stayed there for one week in one of their pool villas close to the sea. Very nice bungalow with cute pool right in front of the window. Food at the hotel was excellent as well and there were also a lot of good food options in walking distance.

Good resort with a couple of pools and a restaurant overlooking the beach. Short walk to Fishermans Village and all it has to offer. Food is good as is room service. All rooms come with a DVD player and cable tv for those rainy days. If you are staying make sure you don t get put in the rooms adjacent the road/reception as it can be a bit noisy due to traffic otherwise I enjoyed my stay.

The resort itself is quite wide with some beautiful and well maintained gardens. The restaurant, same place as you have the breakfast, is just near the beach and you can have a nice view from your seat while you eat.
4 pools are a blast for the kids, and different foutains (elephants, frogs) make them original.
The family room is large enough to accomodate 2 adults and 2 kids, with 2 large beds and a bunk bed. Newly renovated it was really good.
We also tried the resort Spa "Shine spa" which was really nice, at the same price we didn't get same quality in the village. So good we went several times.
And last but not least all the personnel of the resort, spa, restaurant was very helpful and kind.
5/5 would recommend and go again.

We would like to complain about our extremely nega...

We would like to complain about our extremely negative experience staying at your Bandara Resort & Spa in Koh Samui.

We lost power in our rooms 3-4 times just on the first day we checked-in, and in the middle of taking a shower! There was very little water pressure and almost no hot water in the tub or shower the first three days of our stay. The bed/mattress was as hard as wood even with the mattress topper - we couldn t get a good night sleep. We lost TV signal at least 5 times and had to call the front desk staff to fix it on multiple occasions.

We went to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant on the beach and the waiter Meaw AND the manager were extremely rude, refusing to seat us at a normal table and making us feel inferior for ordering from the regular menu and not eating at their Thursday night buffet. During that dinner, we had dripping water leaking on our heads and our food on our table because the roof was not properly sealed from the rain. This happen d during other meal times as well. This should never have happened at a luxury resort. At breakfast the next day, Meaw harassed us. She approached our table in the middle of our breakfast and started yelling and wagging her finger at us about the food we took from the buffet. She then went to all of the other staff and manager to point fingers at our table and make us feel degrading. At the beach bar, we had to beg the bar staff 3 times for them to give us cushions for the chairs and they kept refusing until finally we insisted. Another one of the staff Ann harassed us at the beach bar. She snatched the menus from our table, and then came back to move our table away from us without our permission. When we asked for her name, she threatened that we can go and complain to her supervisor. Is this how you speak to a guest? Is this how you treat a guest on their vacation? We were shocked that all of these incidents occurred and continued time after time.

Multiple members of our family had stomach illnesses during our stay, so we could not eat at the breakfast buffet, therefore we had to take snack food for later. It has been extremely frustrating and disappointing being treated so badly and harassed by the hotel staff when we were guests of the hotel and we paid our hard-earned money to stay at this supposedly luxury hotel when in fact the facilities, amenities and staff service are nothing close to a luxury resort. While all of the housekeeping, cooks and garden employees always have a smile and friendly attitude, the Bandara's restaurant and bar staff are the worse hotel staff we have ever experienced and made our stay extremely uncomfortable and upsetting throughout our stay.

We went to the reception to speak with Lance (guest relations manager) and he listened to our complaints before saying, why don t you just get to the point and tell me what you really want. He informed us that he spoke with his staff and apologizes for our experience. However, he said that the staff informed him that we took food from the breakfast buffet and that we took two towels instead of one towel in the pool/beach area. This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable coming from your staff and hotel management. After we spoke with Lance and Zach, the restaurant and beach bar staff s harassment and disrespectful behavior towards us continued! All of these service issues were in addition to the fact that our rooms were old with deferred maintenance, including mold in the shower tiles, water leaks from the entry to the rooms and the balcony, and extensive paint deficiencies on the walls.

We paid top dollar to stay at the Bandara Resort & Spa assuming that it was a luxury hotel, however, we had nothing even close to a luxury hotel experience. The hotel staff made a bad situation even worse by their continued disrespectful and harassing attitude in the restaurant and beach areas. Management did nothing to make us happy guests. Our horrible experience puts such a bad taste in our mouth from a trip that should have been an enjoyable family vacation for the holidays and new year.

Our stay at Bandara was incredible and exceeded our expectations. We were greeted with lemongrass tea upon arrival, and through the end of our stay everything was made easy and comfortable. The pool villa room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed just a phone call away. The Saturday night buffet offered a huge assortment of food, and the reggae night was relaxing and perfect for a Sunday. The specialists at the spa were highly trained; we would highly recommend a massage there. Fast room service, plenty of pool area, and full facilities. Barbara is just a few minutes walk from the nearby Fisherman's Village with nearby shops, restaurants, and bars. Overall, our time at Bandara was unbeatable and we hope to be back as soon as we can!

The pool Villa is dream like and beautifully set up. Their food, events and spa are a waste of time and money. There are much better options available around. We stayed and attended the new year eve party at Bandara. The food was sad and the show was mostly catered towards older families.

Nice (modern) hotel close to fisherman's village. Breakfast was good--with plenty of things to choose from. In general the area feels over priced, which is not the hotel's fault but should be mentioned in case you travel on a budget. Another issue with this area is the beach--very rough sand, unusual for Thailand (from my experience).

Overall a good hotel that I would rate with 4 stars.
I would not go back again, but this is only because of the location.

The view from the pools and the sea is amazing.
The only thing that was worse was breakfast.
There was no edible bread and no cheese.

My partner, myself and her family just arrived home from staying at bandara for 5 nights, and I'm not sure where to start.. we stayed in the plunge pool villas and were blown away with the entire time of the stay whether it was the amenities, staff, restaurant on site, breakfast, the location, the greenery that flourishes throughout the entire resort.. I could go on for days! this is our second time here but first time for her family and just like us they would come back over and over. Staff continuously greet you throughout the day and handle any matter immediately, they had great discounts and happy hours through out the day, events on the beach and much more. the only matter I could knit pick on was maybe some maintance in the room, like a loose shower handle but thats it, all in all I cannot fault them. great resort, great people, awesome country!

Quite beautiful and quiet hotel, located by the sea, there are several pools, common rooms and luxurious bungalow. Good service, average prices at the Restaurant and at the bar. Nearby is Fishmans Village and local market with Thai delicacies. A free shuttle to Shaweng Beach is offered (must be pre-booked). Thought to stay 3 nights but there were more :) Really recommended!

The location of the resort is very good, just next...

The location of the resort is very good, just next to the fisherman night market, and you won't be bored if you want to visit the night market at night. There are massage shops and all kinds of gifts and clothing shops, as well as restaurants and roadside stalls. Those who want to eat all kinds of dishes are available. The hotel room was very clean, and some aromatherapy oils were very comfortable. The pillows and mattresses were moderately hard and soft, and my husband and I slept well. The only flaw in the room was the lack of water pressure. The service at the front desk was very good. When we arrived early, we also allowed us to check in early. We did n t have to wait until check-in. All the facilities and services were explained clearly. The airport shuttle was booked 1200 in advance and the driver was very punctual and polite. There are two swimming pools. One is in the middle of the guest room. There is a poolside food service and an outdoor massage service. You can basically stay there all day. Another seaside pool is also good, but the sea view is blocked by trees, it is better to enjoy the sea view from the beach lounger. The restaurant is by the sea, the breakfast is delicious and the sea view is better. My husband and I really enjoy dining here, enjoying the sea view while eating. After the meal, we can just take a walk on the beach. It is very leisurely and will stay again next time.

Since I have been asked what the reason for the score has been, I will answer although I had not thought about it since in our day we only complained when we left, we had a superior suite room, it is true that we should have complained the first day but We were 3 nights and we did not do it, the biggest complaint is the issue of cleaning and maintenance of the place, when we arrived at the room after enjoying the beach, only the bed was made, no open curtains, no clean bathroom and no pool the leaves were removed, a gum stuck in the ground from day one, Room service stayed the tray half a day out. It should be said that Andy was the best of our visit to the hotel, Dream was the cleaning girl and I know if they have a lot of work but leave a lot to be desired, I would not return just for the poor maintenance and cleaning for the type of room it was. The breakfast very good and varied, the facilities of the hotel are good, of course our honeymoon with them was not good at all in that sense, same fruit for 3 days, rotten, dangerous terrace nail, burnt mattress, umbrella broken, the photos in Booking of the rooms are not at all the same, petals in the jacuzzi ..... at all you will find that kind of detail ....
