They randomly turn off your AC to save energy on the hottest days of the summer. Good luck sleeping. Who the hell thought that was a good idea? Oh, and they disable your access to your account then too. Been trying to get a hold of someone to opt out of that ridiculous program but can t find a human.
My power has been out for 16 hrs ... totally unacceptable I have hundreds of dollars worth of meat in my freezer thawing
Currently experiencing 5 power surges per hour on average which started 4 hours ago. Talked to the technician at the repair site 2 hours into this problem. He was just sitting in his truck looking at his cell. He told me that "the line came off the pin" which was actually visible from the road. Looked like a relatively easy thing to fix. 4 hours into it (and many more power surges later) I saw the technician still sitting in his truck on his cell phone. I asked about the status and he told me "still working on it". After being told to stop lying to his paying customers he said that he's still waiting for someone or something "to arrive". Come on BGE. You are better than that and you can do better. Instead of paying employees for just sitting around for hours and lying to customers you should have a better handle on situations like this. Very disappointing. With this you just earned 5 minus stars ( had to give you one star on this site so I could access this review site, lucky you).
VERY QUICK TO SHUT THINGS OFF but is taking 7+ days to get my new account started. I just moved here and They made me wait 5 days (even though they said 3) for an investigation that should not have even involved me. They mentioned the seller left a balance, yet I still had to wait?? Still no power and its been about a week. If you can use someone else
I have a very unusual issue. I was away for 5 days. I am a federally licenced Extra Class radio operator. My radio tower fell on to distribution wires, BGE contractor had to cut top of tower and all guy wires. I found a few pieces and trying to obtain the missing rotator and special guy cable. Support people on phone DO NOT HAVE CLUE. They try to understand but they only read from a script...BGE seems to have put up a wall around the corporation. I belong to the Anne Arundel Radio Club that provides emergency communication for catastrophic events such as tornadoes and floods. BGE does not deserve a star...it is zero
BGE, what the hell? Power off and on for the last hour. Please get the right people on the job.
Power been off for 24 hours this is outrageous.. on top of that horrible customer service would give 0 stars if i could
2 weeks ago we had a storm that knocked power out. Bge & whoever they contract with took a gigantic section of tree from my neighbors yard and moved it out of their way and placed it in my yard right over the fence. We saw this happen. Myself, and my immediate neighbors have no trees in our rear yards so I have no clue what tree it's from. I called bge, informed them of the issue, first they put it in as a paving issue (wrong), then a forestry issue. Forestry says they don't remove storm debris on private property. Apparently, even though they placed it in my yard, not the storm, it's my problem. I think I'll haul the limb to the front employee entrance at the headquarters in Woodlawn and let it be their problem.
Sad, sorry excuse for customer service. Completely apathetic and hilariously unhelpful.
The Power has been out in our Senior Building since 5:05PM Friday, August 13, 2021! It is now 8:43AM on Saturday morning and we still have No Power! Why???
