My daughter has been dancing at Ballet Conservatory for 7 years, and I do not believe there is a better ballet school in this area. The quality of instruction is beyond excellent. The fact that this studio has churned out so many professional dancers should speak for itself. The students are pushed hard to do their best, but I can say that every teacher only has the best interest of the dancer in mind, and they truly care about each and every one of them.

Ballet Conservatory has been training my children for the past 12 years. The owner, faculty, and staff are all excellent. They will get to know your child and care for the whole person while teaching the discipline of dance. Performances, including recitals, are professional. The core ballet program is outstanding and the teachers of other genres are wonderful too, all creative choreographers and masterful teachers.

We moved our kids out of Ballet Conservatory, and a LOT of other families have been doing the same in 2012 and 2013. The management has made a definite turn for the worse, and MANY families are distressed by what they're seeing. There is a difference between demanding excellence and hard work, and being abusive toward students, and there has recently been a distinct shift from the former to the latter, particularly from the head instructor. Other families can give their reasons for leaving, and it is quite a variety. I would be very, very cautious before enrolling a student here; seek out a parent of a FORMER Ballet Conservatory dancer, and ask for their take on what has been happening, and why. You'll get more detail from them than a short internet review can provide, and you can make your decision. Beware, that there are MANY families who have withdrawn, and their stories are worth hearing.

I LOVE this studio! This is only my second year here, but I couldn't be more excited about how it's going! The teachers are committed to helping each person progress as a dancer. Even in the short time I have been here, I can easily see a great improvement in my technique and dance quality. The teachers and the environment are all wonderful, and I plan to continue dancing here for a long time!

My teenager was there for 5 years and after joining their LBT company we decided to leave. We finished the contract and I moved her to a different studio due to the difficult director/owner and my teen had become withdrawn and depressed. The director is Very rude and passive aggressive as well as modeling rude behaviors to the kids in the classroom. Their billing is disorganized and many times incorrect. The director takes a month to answer e-mails. She also is easily agitated if you ask simple questions, which you have to do because she doesn t answer her emails in any reasonable time. The director also gives preferential treatment to her favorites and it s obvious. Many people left due to their kids being unhappy there. I don t play that way so we moved on and I saw my teen change practically overnight. Best of luck if you choose this studio. I don t recommend LBT company.

I pulled my kids out of Ballet Conservatory as well. I don't know who Robert Monarch is, however, I can confirm what he says is true. The studio environment has changed and the head instructor (owner) definately crosses the line from demanding excellence to abuse. I do know who Dan Kardell is, and I agree with him regarding the expansion of the different genres of dance as well as the excellence of the competition company. Aside from the head instructor the other teachers are excellent and the competition team is a positive experience for the dancers. Unfortunately, even with the instructors and the competition team, the environment has become hostile. The positive does not outweigh the negative. Many families have left the studio the recently. It would definately be worth your effort to find a former student or two and hear about their experience before enrolling.

*Update...It should be noted 2 recent reviews on this page come from people on the Ballet Conservatory payroll.

Ballet Conservatory is a great school. They have a wide range of classes for my five children to take. I love that they really have a focus on technique and that ballet is the core. The director really cares for her students and helps to bring out their potential. I love the professionalism of the teachers and staff. I definitely recommend this school to anyone that has children, boys or girls, that have a strong desire to dance.
