We asked for well done steak and they brought it super red. Drinks were sweet and the waiter not professional at all. The view is Gorgeous

The drinks were the best part. The food is just ok the french toast was underwhelming. We also got the fried chicken and waffles, which was less than ideal. The waffles were purple but that was the only thing special about them.

I would recommend their drinks. In full disclosure I don't like sea food and the people who were eating seafood were much happier than this land loving reviewer.

Also my friends hyped this place up because of the buffet but covid ruined that. I will be back once the buffet is back and will up this accordingly.

The place also needs to add some sound dampening the place was loud.

I came last week during restaurant week with a group of friends. We knew that the majority of food would come pre-made and be heated up, we were okay with that. The appetizers were delicious, but outrageously tiny. There were three coconut shrimp on my plate for my whole appetizer.
The small amount of food was nothing compared to my steak. I ordered a medium rare steak, and it came out clearly well done, or at the very least medium well. Everyone at my table confirmed that my steak was basically charred. I asked the server and she confirmed that it appeared to be way too over cooked. She went to send it back and the chef told her it was medium rare.
I have worked in restaurants for years and have never witnessed a chef tell a customer that they were wrong about their food. The very kind and professional waitress apologized profusely and offered to put it down under a new ticket so I would get my food. I did not want for her to have to do that, at that point it was too much work for her on an already busy night.
I have been to Bali Hai before and would consider going back. The waitress was incredibly sweet and courteous about everything, going above and beyond for what she needed to. I was just so turned off by the chef consistently serving me over cooked food and telling me I was wrong. Other medium rare steaks at my table were cooked significantly less than mine.

The server Jake was great. The scenery was nice. Don't get the lobster tacos! They're awful. The beef skewers are good. Everyone was very nice. I don't know what was up with the food. Maybe they just need time to get back into the groove.

Food is delicious, view is incredible and the staff are amazing! Highly recommend the Pele's Relief or Monkey Wrench cocktails. The Alicia Tasting plate is good but a little pricey for what you get. Ordered the chicken club sandwich - tasty and filling. Sourdough bread was phenomenal! If your in San Diego, lunch here is a must!

Wonderful restaurant with delicious food and a beautiful view of the ocean. We had a big group and everyone enjoyed their meals. We had a good time and customer service was great. Mai Tais are good and very strong so be careful ; ). The beer Agua Mala is soooo good.

Went with friends for happy hour. We tried a bunch of different dishes and drinks. Service was excellent. The place was very clean and we had a great time. Awesome view!

What can I say I wish I could give 10 Stars this place was beautiful and created some amazing moments with my family. Service was amazing, we can t wait to return and thank you again

So I flew in to California yesterday and came here for dinner. This place was amazing! The food was amazing! The salad was grilled. Our waiter Danny was amazing. I asked to move closer to the water/fire he very accommodating. When he came over to our table once we were having a conversation about how sometimes the pilots fly a bit close to the buildings and he joined in our conversation. He was very sociable and likeable. I love this place and because of his amazing customer service and great food we will be back!

Bali Hai really came through for us for my son and daughter-in-law s baby shower! The staff was unbelievably kind and went out of their way to insure our event was both memorable and beautiful. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Oh, and the food was amazing!
