Went for the buffet option which was excellent with a good selection of options. The service was excellent - very friendly but not overly attentive. Special mention to the manager who took the time to talk my daughter through the vegetarian options available as part of the buffet. Sounds minor but done in a way that didn't make her feel awkward and made sure that she was happy with the alternatives. We will be back!

We went here as a group following good reviews about the food. The waiters and servers staff were excellent. The food was good once the order was corrected. Please be aware if you ask for your meal spicy, it is not warmer than a korma. The manager was awful, inattentive, unapologetic and rude.

We were seated at 19.30, our drinks and order taken, then we proceed to wait for 2 hours until our starters arrived. This was dismissed by the manager who thought it acceptable to blame the kitchen. Unfortunately giving an excuse passing the buck isn't just to the other fantastic staff who were more than apologetic. If the restaurant is not able to run efficiently at 75% capacity then the running needs to be addressed.

I understand in the current situation that times are difficult, but this is no excuse for the service we received from the manager. If we were told that we would be waiting over 2 hours for a starter then we would have left and gone to another establishment.

What an amazing afternoon here in what was my Grandads favourite restaurant/bar for his wake. The owner and his entire family went above and beyond to accommodate us. The warm and welcoming atmosphere has always made the Bali special but today it was touching to see how much it means to the entire community. The food was fantastic, lovingly cooked by the owners wife and son to accommodate our party of 60 odd. Really could not have expected anything more and made the send off for Tom everything he deserved

This is an interesting place - tucked away inside a building on the seafront its a bit like an 80's hotel restaurant (but it's not). The food is okay and reasonably priced, the service is good. Malaysian take on Indian food - nothing pretentious about this place - a good value eating establishment

Food was delicious, waitresses were lovely. However somewhere along the line our order was mucked up. Starters took an eternity to arrive and some of the mains were wrong when they arrived. In their defence, we did get some drinks taken from the bill.

I had my 50th birthday party in the bar area of the Bali Brasserie and it could not have gone any better. Delicious food (hot buffet) - all my guests commented on the tasty dishes - and attentive and friendly service. I can not recommend this place enough.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Cannot fault. Attended a party here and all I spoke to enjoyed the evening and food. Staff were friendly and helpful and live music a plus. Highly recommend. If you are reading reviews wondering where to eat out, come here, you won't be disappointed.

Had high hopes for the Bali Brasserie but we we're somewhat let down by our experience. We arrived just before 8pm and we were shown to our table. Drinks order taken, and food order given. Drinks arrived. Crackers arrived. No starters. Second round of drinks order taken - incomplete order arrived. Still no food. Was told oven had broken and our food was on its way. Table arranged for what appeared to be an imminent starter arrival - 'it's on its way'. Somewhat annoyed at this point as food was regularly coming out of the kitchen - buffet restocked twice, others had two courses in the time we sat paintiently for our starters. Still nothing arrived. Enquired once more how long we would have to wait, again we're told its on its way. It's now well over an hour since we arrived. We decided to leave, as we had waited too long and given false promises. The owner/manager did try to rectify the poor service - complimentary drinks, offer of a free meal - but by this time my patience had left me and we left never to return. A first in leaving a restaurant because service was so bad.

My husband and I went to the Bali Brasserie, after reading the great reviews on Trip Advisor, as we were staying nearby in Brighton for the weekend. I am so happy that we did!! what a wonderful evening, attentive, and knowledgable staff, and the food was amazing, without doubt the best. We went for the option of hot buffet, which was very reasonable but included many dishes that we would have chosen, a lovely curry, beef so tender it melted in the mouth, tasty stir fry vegetables, awesome king prawns, rice, and a noodle dish too. Which was hot, fresh and constantly being refilled. Prior to this, a satay, and wonderful, light home made soup. A delicious choice of desserts too, fantastic value. A memorable evening for all the right reasons.... Thank you, hope to return as soon as we can.

I went to the Bali as part of a business club. Food did not live up to mouthwatering website descriptions. Slightly-canteenlike quality buffet with no starters or desserts (despite the dessert spoons on our tables) or even bread items such as chapatties, popadums or naans, only polystyrene-like prawn crackers. No teas or coffees (except on request) afterwards either. Of course maybe that's the deal that the business club did with them, but we paid enough to justify better. Would not return to the Bali as a private customer if they do not use this opportunity to impress 150 people on a presumably slow mid-week night. Also in a hideous block of flats so suffers from unglamorous location. Interior a bit like stepping into 1970s but clean and well-kept. Could do better.

What an experience! The staff are absolutely amazing, so much fun. The decor reminds you of a Las Vegas casino and the food is nice: Malaysian and European options. The signature dish is an all you can eat buffet. The bar has a lot to offer with a set cocktail menu and the ability to ask for your own.

Delicious, very reasonably priced food. Very extensive selection of vegetarian dishes! The gado gado was beautiful! Staff were very friendly and the restaurant would make a very cool place to rent out for parties

Nice atmosphere for the Christmas party, great company, good entertainment, but the food was a very poor standard and the drinks are very expensive.
I not sure I would go again, and wouldn't have been happy if I had to pay for the food myself, but on this occasion it was paid for by my employer.

Always a winner. Love the food here and welcoming service. The buffet is their speciality and ir always tastes delicious. I normally never go for buffet options but this is an exception in my opinion. A la carte is also good. We took all or friends here for a friendly meal the night before or wedding because we knew they would be impressed and have a nice fun evening with a good atmosphere and tasty food.

Went here for our Christmas party, and it was very good. The alcohol was good and the staff some how survived the onslaught of 3 or so companies coming at them at once.

The food was okay, not a fan of sweetcorn soup, but others liked it. The Buffet food was nice, very tender and succulent meat, but the Mcoys crisps mixed with peanuts and sweet chilli sauce was strange (tasty, but very strange to have there)

Great night out.

Top notch!!The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful and the food they serve is amongst the best in Brighton. The restaurant is very clean, music not too loud and the beers are great. The atmosphere is chilled catering to an older clientele. The decor reminds me of the 70's / 80's which makes a change. I recommend choosing meals from the menu as opposed to the buffet.
Doesn't look like much from the outside but well worth the visit!

We recently had our wedding at BB on Valentines day, and all of my guests haven't stopped on complimenting the food, the venue and the staff! Lots of people saying it was one of the best wedding party they have ever been too!
Our dinner was delicious and catered to all of my guests needs; one friend is allergic to onions, a key ingredient for Malaysian and Indonesian food - she couldn't believe it at having so many dishes prepared especially for her! TC and his staff went way above and beyond, and made sure our big day went without a hitch. They all worked so hard and all the guests and I couldn't agree more what a fantastic service they provided for us.
Anyone looking to have their reception here,I would highly recommend. Thanks TC and Korbia and all your team - you guys smashed it xxx

I ordered the "Sayur Gulai" (a vegan, coconut based curry) and it was one of the best curries I've ever had! I'm still thinking about it right now oh my gosh! The ambience is also lovely (they recently renovated I believe). Definitely come here if you're vegan/vegetarian - you won't be disappointed
