Worst EVER!!! I can t say enough bad things about this business yea it must be a great place like whoever left the 5 star review said! I have had a claim for over a month and a half because someone they represent hit and ran me and my baby on a bridge! My insurance company has not once in over a month and a half gotten anyone to answer the phone or call them back! I have been promised checks and none have ever shown up. I have paid all damages and repairs out of pocket! I have been lied to over and over. I honestly have no idea who would use them as an insurer. They must be dirt cheep. I could go on and on but it won t change anything. Please if your thinking of using this company don t and if your stuck in a situation like we are god help you!!

Ronald Dietz has been assigned to my claim and I have been left completely unimpressed. I ve call his direct line multiple times regarding my claim and magically no matter what time I call he s not at the phone.
On Friday April 16, 2021 I received word from the shop I got an estimate from that they were given the ok from Ronald to begin repairs on my car on Monday April 19th, Ronald of course neglected to call me or set anything up for a rental. So I then had to call the company number and speak to 2 supervisors, the first one seemed completely indifferent and she never emailed me the rental info or even set it up even though she said she did. The second supervisor I talked to was very nice and helped me get that set up. Why couldn t Ronald do it? Because he left the office at 3 in the afternoon of course. Seriously? It might be a Friday but some of us are stuck at work til 5.
Fast forward to today April 27, 2021 and after signing a release basically saying I won t sue them for damages in exchange for them paying the repair costs on my car, Ronald yet again neglected to give me pertinent information. They re going to literally mail a physical check to my address and then want me to use that check to pay the shop. Do you have any idea how insanely inconvenient that is? Just pay the shop directly. I literally left work 2 hours early to beat rush hour traffic and make it to the shop before closing time only to be told you aren t paying the shop directly. Who does that? The only reason I m not any more livid than I am is because you re paying for my rental. Terrible customer service and support from Ronald Dietz.
This is one of those companies that will one day catch a class action lawsuit because of how bad they run their company. Answer your phones or at least call people back. Don t bother with management here either all they will do is try to get the employee you re trying to tell them isn t doing their job on the phone and down play everything. Makes me wonder what qualifications you have to have to be a manager there. Seems like the managers at McDonalds take their jobs more serious.
I would not recommend them to anyone. If you work for a company that use them purchase your on outside insurance. This company only looks out for the best interest of them.
Absolutely horrific claims experience. A driver insured by them backed into my parked car, and it took them almost two weeks to even come out to inspect damages, at which point they gave me no indication and advanced warning this would happen. I had to go through my carrier to file a claim and have repairs paid for. A month and a half AFTER I picked up my car and subrogation was initiated, neither my carrier nor I have yet to hear back from them for reimbursement of payments for something their insured was at fault for. Terrible customer service. Terrible follow-up. We purchased two used cars from a dealership on the same day. They gave us "Lifetime Powertrain" warranties on both vehicles. When I called Protective due to an issue, my car was not on the policy. It took 12 days to get my car activated. The car had been purchased over a year prior. My car had been smoking that entire 12 days. Then we took it in, they told the mechanic to replace a part (not under warranty) and we did at a cost of $300 to us. This did not fix the car. We then took it to a Nissan dealership who told them that we need a new motor. Protective is refusing to cover it because it is not a "mechanical breakdown." We are being told it is going to cost us $5000 for a USED motor. This insurance is a joke. Don't waste your time with them. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau!
Claim# 98106123 Can't believe they took so long and when I finally heard from them I was told to get aftermarket parts! I'm pretty sure they work from home so there will be no rush at all to get you rolling again!
Terrible! Haven't been paid for 3months, keeps telling my Attorney the checks are in the mail. This company is either unorganized or liars. I have lost my car, possibly my home and I am in a deep depression cause I can't feed my family, and my injury is still no where near a safe recovery, in order to return to work. PROTECTIVE SERVICES SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED BY STATE ATTORNEY RICHARD BLUMENTHAL. DANGEROUS,NEGLIGENT, COMPANY. CAUSES INJURED WORKERS MORE HARMFUL HEALTH ISSUES ON TOP OF THE WORK RELATED INJURY.
