Worth your drive! The King Cake was amazing, the hot chocolate was so rich and came with a toasted marshmallow on top, and the best part is you can come with your friends and family and play board games while enjoying yourself!

The cakes are delicious! The drinks are delicious! Come in, ask them to surprise you with a random slice of cake and a great drink to go with it. Bring a friend with you, find a table, and play one of the games they keep there.
food is awesome, we had several small plates they were delicious, bar service is fair at best, not being hard on bartender but he freaks out easy was not that busy,
Wow, I did a google search for desserts near me and the Bakery Bar came up. Am I glad I came here. The wife and son agree. I had a slice of the peanutbutter cup doberge. Talk about wonderful! I will definitely be back next time I come to NOLA.
Delicious! That's the best word to describe this place. I had the Vanilla Doberge Brulee, which is layers of white cake and vanilla pudding finished with a crust of Bruleed sugar. My other half had the cinnamon crunch doberge. Both were amazing. If you enjoy a good cocktail with your dessert then you must try the La Louisiane. It's like a Manhattan with a kiss of New Orleans
Paid $11 for a Frozen Irish Coffee that wasn't even blended all the way. The bartenders were more worried about talking with the regulars that were at the bar. Cute place but not impressed.
Very cozy place. Looks upscale but prices are reasonable and the dessert was very good. Took my friend for his birthday and we both enjoyed our first time there. The staff is very friendly. We will be back again to try our their dinner menu!
A great place for a date night. In fact we joke, it ain't serious til you take her to bakery bar. Friendly bartenders. Incredible desserts. Fun games to play at your table. Check it out.
Bakery Bar is a great place to grab some cute desserts. I stopped in and ordered one of their doberge cakes. It was pretty delicious, I'd come back in the future.
Delicious cocktails and cakes. Fun place, good music. The cakes and desserts (Doberge bites and Salty balls) are phenomenal. I didn't eat here, but I presume the food is at the same level. This location has always been a quirky space in the New Orleans food and bar scene, glad to see it's continuing to be a little different and excellent.
Fantastic place! The desserts are to die for! The atmosphere is perfect. You feel like you re in a comfortable library complete with books and board games. Can t wait to come back!
Do yourself a favor and stick to happy hour/drinks/desserts at this place. Only 2 out of the 7 people I just dined with were satisfied with what they ordered for dinner, and those were burgers and fries. Nothing to write home about. Overpriced to boot. Happy hour is likely the way to go.
TERRIBLE SERVICE! Had high hopes for this bakery bar upon entering. Strike 1: Walked in and not greeted or even spoken to with in the first 5 min. Sat down at a table and looked around clueless with only strange looks from the staff. Figured that was my clue to get up and order from the bar. Strike 2: The bartender didn't put in the order when requested but waited about 15 min before coming over to the table and then asking for a card to start a tab before placing the order. I explained I wanted to use cash but he insisted on the card anyway. My card was charged and open ticket holding fee. (FOR a Salad mind you) Strike 3: Selection of cakes looked picked over and not a fresh as I had hoped. I simply decided to forgo the desert. Strike 4: Decided at this point to close my check. The bartender was about to charge the tab, but I again explain I would like to pay cash. He looked at me stunned. Then I asked how the open tab fee would be reversed. Again a confused look and he said he would reverse the charge. (Still not reversed ). Don't think we will be back.
We arrived home yesterday from our 6 day stay which was Wonderful! Unfortunately, it started out on a sour note but Bakery Bar saved our hunger and the start of our trip!
We actually had Bakery Bar on our list of places to checkout, but for desserts. After a disappointing experience at a nearby restaurant we were still without breakfast.
We walked to Bakery Bar where we were welcomed with a smiling hostess, sat immediately, and in and out in less than 40 minutes. I had their pancakes and my wife enjoyed their "Trash Fries" Food was yummy, the hostess was also the waitress and she was Fabulous! Bakery Bar
The atmosfere and the people is great! The food... Mmm was good. Nothing mind blowing, and kinda expensive. The cakes look good, but too much frosting.
I was greeted at the door with a cheerful hello from Joe and the rest of the charismatic staff ready to craft something special for me. I visted for brunch, and stayed for the cake. I would reccomend stepping off the crowded tourist streets and taking a detour to the Bakery Bar to experience something uniquely New Orleans.
I loved the vibes, desserts, and atmosphere this place provided. This place was serving up first class everything. I am obsessed with the rainbow surprise cake. It was everything were missing in the city, when it comes down to remembering what cake should taste like. When put into simple terms we call it UNFORGETTABLE.
The food was pretty good. I wish my burger was served on a plate instead of a board. The burger was really juicy and it kept running off of the edge. I had to build a dam with my fries to keep all the liquid on the board. The bun was also a little dry and not warmed up at all. Doberge cake was great.
Stopped here on a whim. The cakes are delicious. So very moist. You must try the strawberry daiquiri!!!! I think that will be my favorite from the Bakery Bar.
Quaint small plates and dessert bar with table seating in a section separated from the bar by shelves of hooks and games. Friendly service and beautifully made cakes, cakebites, and drinks-- although, these desserts are strictly for those with a sweet tooth. Very sweet with extra icing.
Excellent desserts that are a true representation of NOLA. Great coffee and although we didn't play them, they had board games available. Place was noisy/busy but it was to be expected. Our waitress was attentive and we were able to get seated after a short wait. Atmosphere was something like eating in a dimly lit library. The bananas foster bread pudding was amazing and I loved that they had a dessert like this on the menu as both bread pudding and bananas foster are both a dessert staple in NO. My wife had the Grasshopper Pie Bomb and she raved about it. Presentation of both desserts were well executed. We also ordered a couple slices of Doberge cake and Dobites on the way out. Will return.
A great selection of cocktails and the sweets are very enjoyable. The king cake was great and so was the biscuit basket. I wish there were more than two biscuits in it, but I enjoyed it all the same. A nice place to spend a Friday night.
Delicious desserts and the service is above and beyond. Thank you to this hard working staff for delivering delicious cake to our hotel in the driving rain.
Beautiful and delicious cakes make any occasion special! A New Orleans tradition! Creative flavor combinations. Warm and wonderful people to work with. These doberge cakes are a favorite in my family: for my son's and my daughter's weddings, birthdays, and more! Best in the city!
Great cocktails and delicious desserts. Took the beignets and a slice of cake to go. Also very impressed with their social distancing measures and enforcement of contact tracing.
Limited doboege cakes, rich chocolate cakes and suttle flavored cakes, heaven in your mouth which ever you decide on. Cookies need to be warm, ask for a cup of milk because you will need it. Would be nice if they had chocolate syrup to drizzle on top the cakes
Pretty much my ideal bar. Lots of little snacks & treats, great cocktail menu, great selection of books on the shelves, board games if you're so inclined...
I love the cake and love love love the burger. Staff is typically friendly. But I really hope the burger makes it back to the afternoon menu. Oh and do yourself a favor and get a dish of grits with bacon and cheese. Best grits I ever had!
This is by far one of my favorite places to visit in the city. Friendly staff, dark "smoking room" sort of vibe with a bar and tables, and you can't go wrong with a slice of douberge and a cold brew with a shot of whiskey. Just outside the bustle of busy Nola. It can also be rented for private parties. Highly recommend.
This was my first time at the Bakery Bar and it did not disappoint. There's quite the variety of doberge cake along with dessert, cocktail, and savory menus.
The items on the savory menu looked great (we didn't order any), but I wish there would've been a few more options there. But places with charcuterie can do no wrong in my eyes.
The cocktail options are unique, fun, and delicious. I was able to try the nectar fizz, amoretto sour, and cobbler and I enjoyed them all.
All in all, this is a great place to grab some drinks and some sweets after a long day, or week. The vibe is very relaxing and it's easy to hear people when they're talking. The wait staff is extremely attentive and eager to help.
Always love coming here. The place is cozy and the ample choice makes it perfect for anything. They have food, drinks, coffee and cake... Many of my meetings with clients are here, I have to say.
Delectable cake and cocktails!!! They also have brunch and other small plates that will tastebuds dance with excitement. For your birthday, try the birthday shot! Tastes just like cake...
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The rainbow wedding cake doberge was fresh, sweet, soft, creamy, and decadent. The service was outstanding! I can't wait to come back!
