Originally visited for the bar and sat down for dinner. The baker's burger was wonderful and my friend ordered the Chicken and waffles which was heavenly! after we ordered the red velvet doberge cake slice. Bravo. Great service and delicious food! We will be back!

Fantastique! Love Bakery Bar & Chucky. Great for lunch & am looking forward to their happy hour next week. Doberge bites are excellent. We've sampled the thin mint, wedding cake and maple. Faith is super helpful too!

I went there with my husband and sat in the car while he ran in to pick me up a slice of cake or d-cup. This was our first time going there and stopped by because they were open until midnight and we were in the area. My husband went in and called me to let me know what was available and I was asking him to ask if the filling was pudding or butter cream before purchasing, but he told me the bartender had was adjusting credit card tips and had made eye contact with him a few times but had not stopped to greet or serve him. My husnband then took pictures and came outside to show me beings that I have a stress fracture in my foot. He then said for me to call and that maybe that would get some sort of response so that he could go in and pay for it, but another dead end no one answered it just rang off the hook. I understand it's near closing time, but the place is open until midnight my husband should have got service if he was able to still walk in the business. So needless to say we had to take our business elsewhere, which sucks because I love sweets and the website looked pretty appealing.

It's okay. Kind of underwhelmed. I expected more treats since it's a bakery. All of the treats are cold because they are stored in a refrigerated display case. Cold treats don't bother me. However, someone else may prefer them room temp. I ordered pistachio cake, fun fete cake & a pistachio cookie. The icing on the cake is different. Not your typical butter cream & not like a fondant either. Perhaps icing paste? It wasn't bad at all. From a texture & flavor standpoint, I wish bigger pieces of pistachio were present in the cake & cookie. Cookie was cool. It had cherries in it. I was also tasted hints of lemon. The lemon did it for me. Yummy.

No complaints about this place. It is a hipster trying to be upscale establishment, yet kids friendly and comfortable seating in a cozy non hurried vibe. Alcoholic cake in the form of pina colada and a variety of mixed drinks and wines.

One word: Doberge. Wiki tells me that Doberge cake is a layered dessert originating in New Orleans, Louisiana, adapted by local baker Beulah Ledner. All I know is that Doberge is heaven. We had blueberry with maple bacon frosting and key lime with graham crackers in the layers. This place is a little hidden and a lot gem. Go find it!

So sad it took me a few years to discover this place.

No worries, bakery bar.... you will be seeing many more of my dollars.

Such a relaxed atmosphere with incredible food and drinks (highly recommend the sweet potato hash!) our waiter, Joe, was wonderful! He was genuinely kind and caring and provided excellent service. One of the people in our party is vegan, and he went above and beyond to make sure she had an amazing meal option.

Totally disappointed. I ve been waiting here for 17 mins. No one has yet to help us or even acknowledge us. I have heard such wonderful things about the doberge here. I will not be trying because of the customer service. This place will not stay in business long with customer service like this.

Unassuming location off the beaten path. Reminiscent of the infamous Milk Bar in NYC but with a bit more of a southern charm. The cakes here have some bourbon in them. They are a bit more traditional with flavors such as lemon, chocolate and red velvet, as opposed to Fruity pebbles or Crack Pies. The bar area is for drinking only, no eating is allowed there. You must wait for a seat as location is small. The dip coffee is excellent and you can get it to go. What's fantastic is if you want variety, you can choose to buy the smaller cake bites and try a bit of each. Definitely recommend going that route if you have a sweet tooth.

What a nice place! I went here a couple hours after dinner with some relatives. We were referred here by the front desk staff at the St.James Hotel- and what a great suggestion! The place has a very calm and inviting energy and it has a rustic feel. The lady running the bar was very sweet and was great in explaining how the whole process works. I ordered one of their cocktails and a dessert (don't remember the name) that was almost like a creme brulee with vanilla pudding at the bottom. The dessert and drink were delicious! It's such a great concept and I would definitely return if I make my way to NOLA again!

Very cute bar with cocktails and diverge cakes.

Very cute bar with cocktails and diverge cakes.

We had cocktails, which are good, and also a chicken liver pate which was oddly warmed to a liquid consistency, but delicious nonetheless.

Bakery Bar is a quiet, adult place to grab a drink. Highly recommended.

Great dessert and fun place for a date or a small group of friends. To our delight the Bakery Bar was filled with board games making the night more interesting as we played amongst ourselves while enjoying some of the best desert I ve ever tasted.

Finally made it here for a weeknight birthday dinner. Everything from the cocktails (chocolate martini, omg), to appetizers, to dessert was simply delightful. I even liked the music they had playing! The menu is creative and flavorful. The desserts are to die for. We were also surprised to find a small parking lot right behind the building, making for an all around wonderful experience. I want to try new things next time, but I will get the Trojan Horse appetizer every time I go back. Will be back soon!

Not at all worth it. A slice of cake is never worth $8. Especially when it's lacking in flavor, and is covered in fondant. I feel like people who don't bake for themselves will eat anything, and that's how this place lives on. Also, they were out of brownie sundaes, salty balls, and beignets the ONLY thing we thought was good was the s'mores square. Keep in mind it's a 1 inch square, and was $3.

Home of the doberge rainbow cakes! It was so yummy, the rainbow one tasted like almond cake to me. And my daughter got the red velvet, which she thought was two thumbs up ! I personally enjoyed the rainbow doberge cake more than the red velvet. I will have to say that I didn't like the putter icing layer of the cake though. I don't know what it is but I didn't like it, other than that it was a delicious treat.

The place is small but it's good for a quick stop to grab coffee or a bite! We were in there for like 15 minutes maybe? So we didn't spend too much time there.

Note: doberge cakes are $7 each!

I gave this place a second try and it struck out twice. Awful service and food is below average. For the prices, I was apalled. Burger was undercooked to the point of being unsafe to eat. My drink order was forgotten. We waited 30 minutes to try the new King Cake and were ignored the entire time. Nobody offered to bring it to our table even though we said it was what we were waiting for. Once at the counter I was still ignored and finally left without cake. Won't go back and there are so many other restaurants in New Orleans I would suggest over this place.

I think I've tried every flavor of their doberge at this point and have yet to taste one I didn't love. I can't speak on the drinks or food as I don't drink, but I do love the feel of the place.
