The atmosphere, staff and cake choices make this an extremely promising 'when we come back' stop. They have board games, a patio, gaming and an exotic doberge selection available. Mmmmm....can't wait.

This place used to be one of the local gems. An awesome place to hang out with friends over hot chocolate and amazing desserts. Their chocolate chip Beignets were outstanding. Now it's just a cute cafe. The food is okay, but not nearly as great as the desserts and small plates that this place used to serve.

I was so excited to try the peanut butter banana cake... It was a good vanilla cake with no hint of peanut butter nor banana. 2 stars only because the vanilla ( or whatever it was) was good. Hopefully they gave me the wrong cake... As I ordered it to go.

A place this wonderful shouldn't even exist! After passing it all of the time and wanting to go in, I splurged on my way to visit a friend late one night. I didn't dine in, rather just bought a box of wonderful out of the case. The vibe looked great though for a cozy dinner or after dinner treat, especially on a date. I got 3 different slices of doberge and several cookies because I couldn't choose between them. Everything was incredible, a little pricey but worth it. They are open until midnight every night, except Mondays (closed).

The alcohol was very tasty and the Beignets with chocolate chips are very good as well. However the key lime pie was not that great and costs are high. A very classy establishment. My waitress however never really came to see if things were okay I had to go get napkins from the bathroom for my wife.

While the outside and inside of this establishment may not be terribly pleasing, the Doberge cake definitely lives up to the hype. Yes, it is pricey, but you get your money's worth in amount, taste, and quality.

Nothing spectacular about the drinks and cocktails; however, I will absolutely give them credit for their creativity in the naming of their drinks and food options on the menu (currently all based off of mythological creatures and legends). Very limited beer selection and moderately fair wine list.

Service was roughly average. After we were served our drinks, it was a good 10 to 15 minutes before we saw the bartender again. Although they were not busy, the bartender and other employees seemed to be in disarray.

Final verdict - if you are looking for a sugar fix, definitely try the Doberge cake. As for the drinks and other eats, you may want to look elsewhere in the area.

Doberge. Drinks. Drunken doberge .

Only had apps and desert but can t imagine how amazing the food is based off just that bit!

Absolutely fantastic place with wonderful staff and delicious pastries! The atmosphere is chill and warm with great music playing over head. The bartenders are talented and if you're lucky enough and you ask for a hot toddy, you'll get a very special treat!

The pours are solid. The cakes are amazing. I had them do my wedding cake before this bar opened and I came in tonight to find the pistachio cake bites in the case. Took me right back. The hamburger was delicious also.

I came here after hearing about the space a bunch / and I ve gotta say I d rather have the cake when I m not at the restaurant. The lady we had serving us was rude, slow and gave a bunch of attitude when asked very very simple questions

Also the way you guys have it set up to order cake is ridiculous

You have to go back to the bar and pick a slice oh and folks make sure y all know that some of the slices yes a slice of cake will run you 12 bucks just for a touch of something different

I hated the service and this was the second time in my life I didn t leave a tip somewhere

If you guys are gonna be pretentious and expensive do it in nyc or sf but don t do this here it s ugly and uncalled for

Awesome and fun staff. Came here for a sweet treat and was not disappointed. Got an authentic key lime pie that was a great balance of tart and sweet. Saw a bunch of other tasty looking cakes I wasn't able to try having eaten too much already. This place is open late (midnight), which makes it a candidate for a great late night sweet tooth visit.

Reminds me of speak easys here in Chicago. Great sweets and the shrimp dip was good as well. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff was friendly. Our drinks were good as well. We sat at the bar but if we were seated at a table we probably would have opted to play some of the board games provided!

Horrible experience. I went with a group of co-workers for a birthday celebration. The (very expensive) cake was ordered by our boss ahead of time. Since we were in separate cars we showed up a little staggered. Our server was rude from the start because we all weren't there at the same time, and some of us weren't sure what drinks we wanted when he started taking orders. When we finally received our bill we were surprised to see $50 in "cake serving" fees, separate from the cost of the cake we had already paid for in advance. When we brought this up our new server informed us that their policy is to charge $2.50 per person. We purchased two cakes from them, and there were 10 people at our table, therefore $50 was added to our bill for simply being served the cake we bought from the restaurant. We also ordered quite a fair share of drinks. When we told them that no one had explained this to us beforehand our server was unphased and refused to remove the INSANE charges. We spoke to the manager afterwards who finally agreed to remove...one of the cake charges. In the end, we had to pay $25 to cut a cake we bought from the restaurant and two servers were rude to us for no reason. Never going back to this place again.

I have been wanting to come to this place. We walked there. Was hoping to get a drink and dessert. It was crowded, but expected it to be. Small place. Clean, and comfortable feel. Just grabbed some cake bites to go. Will definitely come back to try drinks and food when we are in NOLA!

This place is a little slice of heaven. Their New Cream Cheese King Cake Dough bash cake is delicious. Small bakery with a lot of charm and some amazing sweets. You will not be disappointed. The staff goes above and beyond. Great location and great atmosphere.

This place is a small, cozy establishment that has a lot of character. The layout is more for small groups of 4 or less, so if you arrive with more than 4 in your group you'll likely have to wait.

The cocktails I tried were delicious, it is obvious that their bartender is very experienced. I ordered the trash fries to eat since it was getting a bit late and I didn't want to eat too much, and they were delicious. The cheesy garlic sauce is perfect and I would eat it on just about anything. The fries were the perfect size and the ones toward the top still had a lot of crispiness to them.

What made this trip perfect was the cake. I had the maple bacon cake with blueberry pudding filling and it was delicious. On my second trip, I tried the key lime and boozy Irish mocha cakes and they were delicious as well.

This place will be on my must visit list each time I go to New Orleans. If you are in the mood for upscale comfort food and delicious cocktails, be sure to pop by.

I've somehow never gotten around to checking this place out in the years it's been open - and I'm seriously kicking myself for not going sooner. Drinks were delicious, and the food... Wow. I don't know if the savory or sweet bites were better, but I'll willingly go back time and time again to get one step closer to figuring it out. My boyfriend didn't come with me, and he's been forced to listen to me rave about it ever since. His loss!

This place is so cozy and charming. They have a nice bar where I could imagine myself enjoying a few cocktails. They also have a large seating area that has lots of windows to bring in natural light during the day. The fresh flowers in bud vases throughout are such a thoughtful touch. Oh did I mention they have a bakery component?!? Doberge and cake balls as far as the eye can see

Had my first experience at the Bakery Bar in New Orleans a few days for my mothers birthday and it was great. The service is quick, so friendly, and incredibly nice. The food was delicious the "nuggets & waffles" and " trash fries" are great. The drinks are good too (they coffee all the way to Alcoholic beverages). The variety of cakes & petits fours is wide with multiple flavors. And the petits fours were amazing so good. I highly recommend The Bakery Bar and can't wait to go back.

Came here one night to try the rainbow layer cake but unfortunately they didn t have it so i decided to try a number of the smaller cakes. SO GOOD. Ended up trying the chocolate, chocolate raspberry, wedding cake, king cake, and red velvet and they were all fantastic. I also got a cup of coffee and it was a great cup of coffee. The location was a little out of the way but it was more than worth it and I will make sure to come back here.

I got a slice of Lemon doberge and my fiance got the Fig White Chocolate Goat Cheese dobite and the chocolate dobite; very smooth treats, not overly sweet...delicious! They made me a Milky Way martini and he got n Old Fashioned. Our server, Joe, was a hoot and he had THE best boots!!

Absolutely better quality doberge than Gambino's, first off. Then you have to factor in the ever changing flavor selection. AND they have lunch AND it's a bar. Comfy space post-reno. The bartender and staff member we had were funny, polite, and exceeded my expectations for service. A well deserved 5 stars!
