Been here twice and have been very happy both times. It reminds me of the diners I would eat at growing up in Jersey. The texas meatloaf sandwich and hoe cake are amazing. The interior is a little dated but its really not a big deal. Booths are quite comfortable and are numerous. The prices are reasonable and the menu is varied enough to keep things interesting.

Very nice place with friendly service. It reminds me of some of the restaurants I went to as a kid. The local restaurants that local people support and enjoy. The kind of place that is getting harder to find. For now I give it 4 stars until I get a chance to try more of their dishes. I am happy so far and I don't see that changing on future visits.
Excellent food with a great table next to fireplace. Denise our waitress busy but was fantastic. Celebrated my mother's 92nd Birthday on VALENTINES Days.
First day of Spring and nearly a week into Daylight Saving Time and we were famished. Baker's to the rescue.
We had salads with a delightful house dressing and onion rings without a drop of grease. Entrees were Chicken Chesapeake and Mediterranean Chicken. Both were excellent renditions and we both brought some home. Definitely going back soon.
I don't see what the hype is about. My party of 3 waited almost an hour to be served . We ended up just walking out and eating at another establishment. The waitress and another staff member had the nerve to get snarky and rude with us as we were leaving. We had only ordered three hamburgers and it wasn't even busy. This wasn't the first time I had got lousy service, but it will be the last time.
Nice family place with everyday home style food. Wait staff were friendly, checking to make sure customers were satisfied. They offered a relaxing, unhurried experience.
The food is pretty good. Beer selection is ok. The person who plays the acoustic guitar and sings on Saturdays during dinner is entertaining. It's a nice, casual family place.
My wife I came here as a last minute decision and are very pleased. We are very pleased with the atmosphere. Elvis was in the building for a time and a live band was playing oldies. The band was very good.
We ordered the sirloin and it was received as ordered. perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Our waitress Jeanne was attentive and did an overall outstanding job. This is out 2nd time here but won't be our last.
Love the staff, the food, the owners and the guests. Great local feel "Cheers" bar. Bartenders are spot one and know the crowd. Wait staff are personable, friendly and attentive, Hostess is warm and inviting. Owners are right in the mix to make sure you are happy and enjoying yourself. Food and drinks have always been amazing with a broad selection to meet all palates.
My husband and I love this place. This is the place to go especially after you've had a long hard day at work or anytime to just relax and hang out. The owners are wonderful "hands on" people that put their customers first and foremost. The food is amazing....no one can top their chicken and dumplings among several other dishes!
Enjoyed our meals when we've eaten there. The only slightly odd thing is they don't serve rolls or bread & butter - they give you crackers & butter, which crumble.
We were seated quickly and felt the dinner would be fantastic. I ordered chicken Chesapeake and my husband salmon. The salmon came out raw, as in out of the refrigerator. The waitress took awhile to return for us to tell her (it was 8pm and not busy) it back and came back immediately claiming the cook placed the raw fish on the plate rather than the cooked fish. What came out was extremely dry and so was the chicken. We got the bill with no discount. I asked the waitress for a discount stating it was unacceptable to serve raw fish, make us wait for the correction, and not even discount our bill. She took it up with the owner as we watched from our table. There was a five minute discussion before the owner begrudgingly knocked off the 10 percent I asked for. We were very unsatisfied with this service and the owner, the response to a very big mistake on their end, and the quality of food when we finally did get to eat.
A friend brought me here when I was visiting another friend. The food was good, great selection, the server was very pleasant too. Look forward to coming back as they offer outside seating. They have been around for a LONG time too.
Friendly atmosphere and service. Family owned and operated for about 60 years. Very good food. Beautifully decorated. Bar and bar seating and dining room.
Will start with the only negative, the fries we're not cooked all the way and tasted like potatoes. Other than that very good food very friendly staff amazing atmosphere..
Been coming here for years. Great place to get a really good meal at a really nice price. Staff has always been helpful and professional. The menu offering are straight forward and nothing strange. The prime rib is really good. Maybe some people's tastes are a bit more refined then mine and would consider this place outdated.....Their loss.
Been going there for years.started when it was just a walk up little place on the side of the road. Changed over the years n becamea eat in full menu restaurant. Never disappoints! Great food, staff and good family atmosphere!!
Excellent staff, homemade dishes, famaous chicken & dumplings made every thursday, seasonal menu's with there new dishes, local bands Friday and Saturday nights, and i could go on and on. Try it sometime
Just went yesterday again and got my usual batter dipped cod. Very disappointed! Fresh out of the freezer and overcooked instead of fresh dipped. I can get this at home myself Next time Golden Corral for the same price for unlimited salad bar and fresh dipped cod. Also waited 10 min for waitress talking to friends in corner booth to take our order. Adios Bakers
