I love going to Sharkeez. The atmosphere is good and the food was delicious!

Service was decent but the food was just ok...good atmosphere though

Fun place to hang out with friends. Excellent food!!!

Younger crowd but it's just that a crowd. It's a good place to start your night of drinking before 11pm when it starts getting overcrowded.plenti if other bars to hop to on the pier.

We we re told we didn t meet dress code policy by the bouncer... this is a cantina on the beach.. we were in chucks, jeans and t shirts and this dude try s to tell us you have to have blazer to get in, don t know what his deal was but this is the worst bar in this area, check out anywhere else

They also do this weird thing where they form a line to make it look busy (once again at a cantina)... this place tries real hard to be a club... idk it s weird

Bad food (cold) inattentive service. Just a beer drunk party bar.

I've been to the Manhattan Beach location and this is way better! Better food, better atmosphere and much bigger!

Fun and rowdy place to go on nights when you don't have to be up early the next day. The drinks are reasonably priced and strong, and they have jello shots which are always fun! There's some room for dancing and the music is usually good.

I walked up to Sharkeez and there was no line. The host Zach stopped myself and friend and told us there was a line but no one was waiting to get in. We said to Zach the host there is no line and he had us stand behind the rope and pull the strap over to block us and create a line. We watched Zach take money from an Asian guy and Zach allowed 6 people to enter the club. Very disappointed with the service we received. The only reason I was there was for my daughters 26th Birthday. Never again will they have to worry about me visiting this establishment. Also they did not start charging people until they let me and my friend in.

Baja Sharkeez SUCKS!

My girlfriend got a bad vibe from the moment we went up to the bar and had a seat. The female bartender that I swear looks like a friggin Bald Eagle, just completely ignored us for ordering drinks, and then the male bartender wasn't any better when he showed up. I then stood up to get their attention, and was rudely greeted by the bird faced girl, and hurried by her to order our drinks. She gave us the absolute most devoid of alcohol drinks I've ever tasted, pretty much all sparkling water, I took one sip, and gave it to my girl. After seeing other patrons getting more attentive service, I figured, this place apparently caters to the locals mostly, but after seeing the Latina patron standing, waiting, getting ignored as much as we did, I came to the conclusion that perhaps more was at play here, so we warned the Latina that it may be a while before she gets in an order, if she ever does at all, and my girlfriend and I promptly left for greener pastures next door, where we were treated very well.

Absolutely horrible service. I understand that I needed to go to the bar to order that wasn't the issue. I sat down and looked over the menu. I had a question so I flagged down an employee and asked my question. She said she didn't know and left, never to find out or tell me. My wife went to the bar to order and waited and waited and waited. We asked if she was in the right place to order. We were told she was and that "we're slammed right now" placed seemed half empty and well staffed. We left without ordering anything because we could not. The chair was relatively comfy so 1 star.

Wow, this is funny cause I thought it was maybe just a packed night and they did not want anymore males in, two friends and myself, all African decent were invited here for a childhood friends b day party, but was turned away cause they "were full for the night" then 4 non black women went in, I asked what's up with that and he just said they were in already, I shrugged and we left. Tonight I figure I'd go take my girlfriend here for a few drinks and music I came here to see what the event would be tonight only to read a boat load of comments on their racism at this place. So I see, won't be going here, thank you for your comments and comfirmations .

I went to sharkeez in hermosa beach had a 10 dollar cover fee me and and 3 of my freinds payed because we have been to panama joes before and to this location. But it was a terrible experience w me literally left within 10 minutes. When we came before there was cover charge. The bar smelled like throw up I was sooo dissapointed in this location i regret ever coming here I don't believe I will be going to this location ever again.

Would have gave five stars if my server checked on me more then once in the 4 hours I was here otherwise food was amazing

Hard to have a bad time at Sharkeez. Great drinks at good prices and awesome food. Shrimp tacos and the Hawaiian burger are amazing. Weekly brunch is a must during the summer.

The Hermosa Beach location is much more active than the Manhattan Beach one. Come here if you want to hit the pier or enjoy a nice lively crowd.

The food is great and many choices and location is really good

We had a great time. Very small space, but they make the best use of it. A little bit of a hassle to get your drinks from bat, but overall we enjoyed ourselves and the location. Lots of security too which is great.

Great music but over crowded to the point where you could wait 15 minutes for a drink unless you know the bartender.

Went there for college birthday party and it was nice. Like the location and the public parking. Great beer and tasty food.

First time there will be back. Plan on trying most of the menu.

Now this is how the place operates. You buy drinks and they pour weak drinks as the night continues. I had three drinks and the third one was weak. I returned the nearly untouched drink for a re-pour but the bartender got really nasty and tried to provoke me into an argument. The manager was not even there to supervise these weirdos or attend to my complaint. I was professional and polite and these bartenders behaved basically like street thugs. Its not a safe place to drink. Its basically a dive.

Great time at night, and had some amazing drinks. Great long island iced tea and pineapple fusion. Had great service at the bar and definitely did not feel a racist vibe like other reviews have said. Had no trouble getting in or service and my girlfriend is Spanish.

More classy than a dive, less expensive than a club.

Baja Sharkeez is a very popular place. It can be dificult to get service or even a place to set your drink when you finally get one.

I enjoy the breakfast specials here when they are not crowded to standing room only.

Great food and an amazing atmosphere. Had some drunkards bugging our waitress but the hosts took care of it in the most professional of ways. Few steps from the beach and you are at the restaurant for a nice little break. Would recommend and will be going again!

Noisy place but very affordable. The food was just ok.

The drinks were crappy and so was the bartender. She was acting like it was her establishment and yelling at people killing my vibe. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else.

I feel like this place is always on and off. It's really crowded but most people are just crammed up on the "dance floor" which blocks the bathroom so you really have to end up muscling your way through. Drinks are not cheap but they are made good props to the bartenders. I've eaten here once on a Sunday and while the portions aren't big they are pretty decent. So yeah 4 out of 5 stars.

Very busy on Friday night. A little loud even if you re sitting outside. Great drink selection and really good Mexican inspired food. If you like the nightlife and good food and good friends, this is the place for you. Don t forget your ID! You can get in if your underaged but you can t be in by the bar.

Waited so long for food, had to put more money in the meter. Had to wait again in line to get in to finish my cold food. "Why did you not say anything?" ... you werent listening... three brand new hosts...

This was a great spot to find at Hermosa beach! The staff was awesome and our server was always positive about asking my many questions since this was my first visit ever.

There just weren t any instructions given to us that we had to go up to the bar to order our food/drinks ourselves. Other than the lack of transparency, the atmosphere was great. If you wanted to move around the restaurant (to order or go to the bathroom) remember to put your mask back on or the staff will kindly remind you.

The food and drinks were amazing!!! I split an order of Taquitos and fries with my friend and it was the perfect amount. GREAT PRICES. Especially for California. The food tasted fresh and it was still hot coming out. While I can t wait to visit other Sharkie locations I look forward to coming back to this one.

LOUD. Obnoxious and stupid. Not a fan of the food, vibe, or the people.

Worst ever. There at Happy hour.Ordered a spicy bloody Mary and they brought out the drink and said we don't make them spicy here's a bottle of habenero tobacco. Drink was almost $8.00. I ordered a martini with well vodka and it was $11.00 Happy hour I think not. We were going to get tacos for taco Tuesday but after the slow and very pricey service. Never Again!!

This is a cool spot to visit when it's not so crowded. I've been here a few times during day time/night time both weekdays and weekends. I prefer when I have some space to move (usually best on weekdays or anytime before 11pm). Since this is such a popular spot, you won't have much space to move or dance if you come here during a weekend night.

Came here w the kids during happy hour - kind of annoying to place your order at the bar but after that - food was fabulous and servers were super nice! Bartender Ish made great drinks and was super nice to our kiddos who kept asking for more cucumbers

Very noisy and crowded on Saturday evening. Also, they charged cover.

You get what you pay for; cheap cover charge, but you'll want to leave after 20 minutes because there's no room to stand and the rude staff will keep forcing you to stay off their walkway.

Be carful with this place the manager and the police! They work together and 8f you are not local they are Super racist! I came from Spain and they were super rude! This people are super territorial and stupid! And more in this place! The manager is the worst! If you are a tourist or not local stay away from that people! They are animals! Go to Venice or Santa Monica where people is more open and cool!

Always packed to the point where there no place to move

I really always enjoy my time here. It can be a little overwhelming if you're not use to having to order all your good at the bar. So if you need a waitress maybe not the place for you. Its tons of fun, stephanie at the bat is the best. She handles that front bat like no ones business. She gets you in and out and always so sweet. She wasnt there two weeks ago and the guy was trying to take care of everyone but fell a little short. My friends were getting a little frustrated with him but overall we always have a great time. Food is relatively pretty good. The chorizo hash skillet is actually pretty bomb.

They close at 1:30 not at 2 a.m. Change the hours please stop fooling everyone. NO 5 STARS.

I like the flavor of onions. A lot. Especially in a good French onion stew or pot roast. It just doesn't go well in an old fashioned. Yeah, I ordered an old fashioned cocktail and it tasted like onions. Like they mixed onion powder into it. It tasted... unique.

My girlfriend had won a happy hour party here... the party was fun enough. After only 3 drinks, my girlfriend was extremely disoriented. After a few more minutes, it was apparent they my girlfriend had been drugged. I tried to ask for help but instead was quickly told to leave.

I certainly hope this is a rare occurrence here and I grateful nothing worse happened. It would be awful for this area of LA to start getting a reputation for this type of stuff.
