Stonegate Golf Course Review

We played Fri 08/02 4-some, the gentleman in the pro shop was very nice, but that was as far as it went, the RANGER followed us on 3 to 4 of the hole on the front nine and literally followed us to the T-box, saying if we could pick up the pace by a MINUTE or TWO, we let a 4-some play thru earlier, so we were not holding anyone up, we have played this game before. The women at the bar was must have been his wife , because she was worse, no HI, THANK YOU or HAVE A GOOD TIME, just terrible, very unfriendly. Save your money, plat Chase Hammond. and HAVE A GREAT TIME.

The best value for your money around Muskegon/Oceana county. Carved out of the forest, open fairways and challenging greens.

The course was in good condition, it has some challenges. I haven't tried the food but the staff is friendly and helpful

Did some landscaping here. Course looks like good golfing and the community is small but up and coming. Out of town but not completely removed.

I'd give zero If I could.
Placed me on hold for 20 minutes while employees talked about person things.
Called back same person was cold did not apologize.
Called back again asked for a manager, same person said they would help me....
Again cold kinda rude would not recognize the impact of the absolute disregard of a potential paying customer.
Love this corse but if this is the way customer service is handled I will take my money elsewhere!

Played this course last fall. Half of us from metro Detroit, the others from Chicago. Six of us had booked 36 holes for a Ryder Cup style tournament. We ran late for our 1st 18 due to poor transportation planning. The staff was INCREDIBLE! They figured out a way to get us out, and weren t at all rude or angry (when they certainly had a right to be). We got through our first 18, had a great lunch and tremendous service at the bar. We were tying one on and having an absolute blast. We ran out of cigarettes on the second 18 and a staff member offered to run out for us and within 20 minutes met us back out on the course w a delivery. We ended up playing til the sun went down. I think we got about 50 holes in. The course was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Kindest staff ever. We will try to make this an annual event. They re unfortunately fully booked for the Saturday we will be in town this year. Hopefully next year will work out.

Love this course, got married here. But it's unfortunate to say this is the second year they have took a drastic amount of trees out.... Disappointment.... Really taking the majestic feel out of it.

Use their driving range a lot. They're nice to give out carts to drive to the range. Golf course has an up north feel to it.

A bit pricey for an average course in Muskegon area...I'll try different one next time. Pleasant experience overall.

I can not say enough about his place. My wife and I recently renewed our vows for our ten year anniversary at Stonegate. From the beginning Julie and Derek where absolutely amazing. We do not live in Twin Lake but every step of the way Julie was texting us to ensure everything was perfect and what else she could do to help us make sure everything was perfect for our day. Derek also ensured we had access to the course for pictures after the ceremony and that me and my friends who all flew from out of state had a great experience playing the course. If you are looking to plan any event you have to contact Julie and Derek. They ensure everything is taken care of and coordinated and that it is affordable so you don t have to sacrifice a thing for your event. Truly amazing staff and members out there that made us all feel welcome.

Played multiple tournaments here while I was in high school and I now have come back quite a few times to play again. The course always seems to be in great shape and the staff is friendly. The course has an overall good design and I love all the big elevation changes.

What a fantastic surprise. My first round at Stonegate to today was superb. A little feel of up north golf near Muskegon. Course was it top shape, staff very accomodating. A hidden gem, I will be back.

My favorite course in Muskegon county. Never usually crowded. Try golf now to get better prices. Well groomed and a nice challenge. Newer carts,you can walk but its a little long for 18. Half mile walk back from 18.

Golf course is very nice and challenging! Lots of trees. Stay in fairway and you are good.

Excellent greens. Challenging because of carries on the front nine and lots of elevated greens.

Beautiful Designed golf course challenging but fair conditions were full Lush fairways receptive greens, great little find on vacation in Mi.

This course is always in good shape but often is pretty busy and slow going on the weekends.

Staff members friendly and helpful. Course in excellent condition, can't wait to play it again.

Today we used the practice facilities...driving range, chipping, sand trap and a large putting green. Everything to work on that short game. So awesome! Very friendly staff
