food was really good drinks are awesome and it's a rowdy crowd

2 of the 4 orders were wrong and came out cold. The service was good and the food tasted good, if only we had gotten what we ordered.

Stopped here for a later dinner after walking on the beach and had some pretty tasty nachos and a steak quesadilla. The food was really good.

I don't love ordering at the bar and it was really loud but they were playing great music and it was a fun and lively environment. Big area. Lots of seating friendly servers and bartenders.

I love the location. Such a great little area. Beach is gorgeous.

This is a horrible establishment. I am not shocked to see that other people felt the racist vibe as well. It took my friend and I almost thirty minutes to find parking. We walk up and there is a line. As soon as the two black girls walk up (us) they cut the line off. It was only 12:30 am. He looked us right in our faces like he was so happy to not let the two black people in. Not to mention an hour before we arrived, my friends who are also black had to be escorted out because the bartender was throwing change at them and tossing their drinks to the side. He made them wait for thirty minutes to get their drinks and was serving everybody else who walked up and served them last. One of my friends who is black came in with a white girlfriend and we believe that set them off. Smh I wish I can say we didn't live in a racist world but last night proved that. Everyone else outside of Sharkees were so sweet and full of life, in all colors. As soon as we went to Sharkeez my night was ruined by those racist idiots. That place needs to be shut down !!! I will file as many complaints as need be.

This place is full of douchebags. It is the epitome of everything that is wrong with Hermosa. The staff is a terrible bunch of transplants who are not only rude but aggressive to patrons and the people who go here also are terrible. The manager there with his long bleached and slicked back hair is definition of a tool. I am ashamed I even went here. There are so many better places in Hermosa.

Don't like the setup not great for dancing good luck finding a place to sit.

Good cocktails and food, good prices, party atmosphere but a little tan to get up to eat to order another drink at the bar because there is no waitress ..

It was cool. I usually go to the one in inglewood I think it is. My guy friend invited to the one in hermosa beach. They're pretty much the same. Bunk music tho.

I just love their dishes. I always get excellent service here. The place is well organised and the employees are always helpful. Highly recommended.

This was my bf and I 2nd time coming to this one...this time around it was during a fight...it was nice, loud, the drinks were BOMB and the food was delicious!!!! Can't go wrong with the Baja Fish Taco!!!!!

Great drinks and good prices! The DJ took a while to warm up to but once you have had a few drinks or Jell-O shots the music gets better!

Couldn't even get in with a pain shirt even though others were wearing plain shirts... great. Definitely not recommended.

I didn't like the vibe. It was too crowded. Not enough places to sit. The huge long bar was so packed it took forever to get a drink. The music also was not dance worthy. It plays a bunch of vine fails in the background on all the TV and some sports. They charged a cover to get in and there was nothing special going on that night. Some of the door men seemed a little racist towards my friends - sending them back to the line after a different door man called us up - acting as if they were trying to cut. There was not much diversity inside either.

Super friendly service! And great prices for a good quality food. After being treated badly in the Italian pizza restaurant across the street we were happy to finally receive fair service here.

Food was all around solid. Had the tri tip toasted sandwich and it was worth every penny. You have to order at the bar and they bring your food to you, which was knew to me. Food runners are on top of their game, though. Service was great and everyone was friendly.

Straight wack they wouldn't let me in I guess they felt intimidated and made the excuse that my pants were baggy...B.S. they seem kinda racist so I didn't even trip...

Amazing Monday happy hour deals on apps and drinks!

On January 17 2015 Saturday night about 6:15 pm coming from Redondo Beach stop at Sharkeez in Hermosa Beach to have Sociable Cocktail with some of my Caucasian friends, who was dressed in shorts and t-shirt with flip flops, who went in before me.....As i approach the the door man, I was told that my Los Angeles Clippers shorts were to baggie and too long with my black Polo shirt with a collar. I ask to speak to the manager Rex, who confirmed that my dress code was not of the standards of Sharkeez organization......I stated that my guest of caucasian friends had just went in with the same attire, before i could finish explaining.....2 white guys walked right pass the door man with the same attire,.... and once again i asked..... what was the difference between my attire and theres, or was it my skin complexion that was different......Not playing the race card, the manager made a moral and ethnically decision, and let me into his establishment......Once inside i took pictures of everyone that was dressed in the same attire that i was......There was an international soccer team, and many others dressed the same.......I also notice that there were no African Americans in Sharkeez, and wondering had they also ran into the same experience with the front door man and Manager Rex........ After sitting there for 10 minutes I began to wonder on this Martin Luther King Birthday weekend, had anything in America really changed. I began to question my Military Service for a Country that still tolerates this kind of RACISM......So with that being said, I hope that someday these practices will be abolished.....that's it

Taco Tuesday for the win. $3 tacos? um, yes. The mango salsa ones were to die for. Will definitely be visiting again.

My friends and I went to the bar and had the most amazing Halloween experience. The bar wasn't over crowded and the staff there kept walkways clear. The staff are constantly checking for spills and clean them up immediately. The music was loud and high quality almost like a mini club. The bartender even gave me a fairly large drink on the house because he loved my Halloween costume so much.

This place has great selection of good tasting food!

Good food but often crazy crowded - which isn't necessarily a bad thing as the crowd and loud music can add to the ambience but seeing as you have to order all food and drinks at the bar it can be a real pain.

They are definitely taking advantage of all the tourism here. Serving up mediocre Mexican inspired foods and drinks at high prices. The only upside to this place is the staff is friendly and they know how to help you have a good time. Talk to a manager or owner if you can, they will probably buy you a round of shots or drinks.

Great place, they are all about customer satisfaction, a little pricey but I would overall recommend this place above all others in a heart beat

Service was good, not to busy on Tuesday afternoon. Taco Tuesday they had delicious Tri-Tip Taco's . Definitely would go back for Taco's. Drinks were good also.

Worst experience here minority bouncers turning down minorities waited 3 hours in line and when we got to the front of the line they said my pants were to baggy which was bull because there were several non minorities cutting in front of the line with no type of dress code. I petition that we report this to the better business bureau and to who ever is in charge of discrimination

Love the food, music and the environment. The crowd was great and met Matthew D who was so welcoming and made sure we get good service and be able to enjoy our delicious meal . We will definitely go back ! Food was delish

BILL IS THE MANAGER OF THIS HORRIBLE PLACE AND IS THE MOST RACIST PERSON IVE EVER CAME ACROSS, HE LITERALLY TOOK A BRIBE AT THE DOOR AND ALLOWED SOME KIDS IN AND HAD THE NERV TO ASK MY BLACK FRIEND FOR TWO FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION!!! THIS PLACE IS THE ABSOLUTE MOST RACIST ESTABLISHMENT IN HERMOSA BEACH I STRONGLY RECOMMEND DOWNTOWN LONG BEACH OR SANTA MONICA AS A SAFER ALTERNATIVE!!!

I never quite understood why this place is always the most crowded. There is barely any dance floor and the lines are way too long on good nights. The good thing about sharkeez is they have decent food for a bar and some good specials. They also bring in some great talent, like dj dan, feelgood, and others. Most of the time I just go somewhere else bc I can't get in quick enough or they wanna charge me a cover (which I'm not paying for my local small bar) They do get all the fights and stuff and it's a fun place to watch games with your friends

Its funny how Sharkeez have minority bouncers mainly to turn away minorities. Don't show up if you are of any color wearing for example cargo shorts kissing your knees and flip flops to watch football on Sundays. You are deemed as a threat and will be turned away!!

But you can watch similar attire greeted with pleasantries as they enter, SMH.

Solid food and drink, but high prices as expected for the location. The real problem is the music volume at 8:00 on a Wednesday which is far to high. I come after beach kickball (sponsored by sharkeez) and leave because I can't hear anyone.

Worst place ever wont be going back there ever again so first off had reservations for my bday party didnt tell me there was gonna be a ufc fight gonna be going on there so had to pay a coverage charge to get in then later find out the bday special that was mention to me over the phone was longer gonna apply bc they where having an after party event going on my guess had to pay full price but that wasnt the worst part of the night what really did it for me was when i stepped out for a minute they didnt want to let me back in they said hit the max ppl i said its my bday we have reservations they didnt care was arguing at the door just to come back in all the mean while my party was wondering where i was so ppl if your planning an event here dont they have the worst customer service, rude, unprofessional service

Drinks take forever to get. It becomes super packed, and bouncers play favorites.

Music, drinks & atmosphere was cool, the crowd was under 35. But if you want food...you have to go to the crowded bar! There was No table Service for food!!! #Lame

We had a blast! Food was decent for a bar. Drinks were well poured and did the job for those drinking. Prices for specialty drinks were very reasonable and the bar staff is friendly. The only knock is not having servers at the back of the bar and having to go to the bartender for drinks and food. We will be back!!!!

Parking is horrible, unless patronized during the weekday. If on the weekend, it'll take 40-45 minutes to find parking. Constant inquiries if someone were exiting. Then, the wait for restaurant seating, they say 30 minutes to an hour expected i.e. Take a small walk on the boardwalk, explore the other establishments and the frequent residents and visitors.. BOOM! They called your party 20 mins ago. Back in queue. After all of this, put your mask on, they check your temperature for "covid", then seat you. Employees are very polite, although they are stretched thin due to under staffing and "covid". The food is great!! No happy hour prices because of "covid" one out of five reasons why I come to Baja Sharkeez Hermosa Beach. Awesome place, exciting environment.

Food is delicious but way overpriced. Drinks are not worth anything. $18 por la margarita and didn't even taste good not to mention watered down. Hard pass on the Dj they should get touchtunez.
