Baja Sharkeez Hermosa Beach Review

On delivery of food, server spilled drinks all over table. Daughter and I both ended up with sweet, sticky lemonade on our clothes. No comps offered.

This place was alright. Had a mahi mahi burrito with some sort of green sauce on top. The rice that came on the side was good! I also didn't get sick from eating the food here which is also a plus. I'm always weary of eating seafood at restaurants. Chips and salsa were v delish too.

The drinks are delicious food is great. The atmosphere even better. I enjoyed my night out. Staff is excellent. Will be going back.

Fun place but a fight broke out and security let them stay. Even though the guy sexually assaulted a girl at the bar, left after that.

Its always packed with rowdy people, but they make it interesting. Good place to drink and hang out if you're with a group

This place is a waist of a Saturday night, always picky about who to let in they will find a reason to not let you in from wearing a sports Jersey to not looking like your ID photo. Drinks and Food are crappy as well as the service and over priced. THE Drinks taste water down unsatisfying, both managers are rude A.F when you try to talk to them about an issue, both the short one and the tall with the beard that hides behind the bar area, if you decide to attend a sharkeez do yourself a favor save the parking money and head down to sharkeez on Manhattan beach not to far away from this location, might be q but smaller but trust me you will actually enjoy your night and have your moneys worth, service is fast and enjoyable as well, great music good vibes and the staff is the Best.

Do not go to this bar if you want customer service. Very rude with bouncers that have no training what so ever. Rude bartender ended our night and we left because we do not put up with rude employees.

If you re out drinking in the South Bay, this is simply one of the two places you need to hit on a Thursday/Friday/Saturday night (second place is the Uber home)

We came here for brunch at 10am. If you have a large party I suggest coming at this time because it's easy to find a big enough booth. This is definitely a sports themed restaurant and we had perfect views to every TV. It's also pretty spacious. I like that we had to get up and order our food and drinks at the bar. It was a nice change to what I'm used to. The food was good. I had the Vanilla Cinnamon French Toast and bottomless mimosas. The staff was great and so accommodating. We'll be coming back again!

It's a cool place to drink and meet people. However the establishment owners and employees are racist.. so unless if you're white, be prepared to be subject to ridiculous rules, or even denied entrance

Care about the environment? Stay away. Care about service? Stay away.

Sitting here now and after let's say 20 minutes still haven't gotten a basic burrito.

I'm equally shocked that a place this huge, that sits hundreds of feet from the beach uses single use plastic, single use plastic cups, plastic straws, etc. This place is full and I just can't believe how much plastic they contribute to the problem on a daily basis.

As I was finishing the food came, so a picture I took. I think my summary of the food is that this should really be a bar and not a restaurant. Chewy chicken and unripened avacados that were hard as rocks. Crema is mentioned on the menu, but it's just sour creme. Hardly an interesting Mexican crema.

My expectations of a beach joint aren't high, but with lack of bartender/server care, use of single-use plastics, and quality of food, I just wish I could give it less than a 1 star.

Food is not great, but it's cheap and they have bottomless mimosas with breakfast so my boyfriend is a fan.

Came here for my 21st birthday. It was fun and relaxing because we came just at the start of happy hour. The food was great, i loves the nachos. We got a bucket drink with a shark topper, my friends got other foods and it was all really cool. Bartenders were working full speed so props to them.

Food is terrible! Used to be ok, but it's a waste of money to order anything to eat now. Smh.

They had very attentive workers. They keep it clean. It's small but if you wanna get your drink on your at the right place. oh and good music

Cool place to check out if you are nearby. You can almost see the beach and the food is a little pricey for not being that good but if you go on Taco Tuesday then the prices are more around what they should be all the time. Service was good and the waitress was nice.

Cheesy, stinky and rude drunk people. not the kind of beach bar you want in Hermosa anymore.. sorta like a bad old alcoholic dream. Smells like they haven't washed the place in 10 years. not like it used to be years ago .. all so sad...

It's okay. Celebrated a birthday recently and kept getting mixed information about whether we were getting drink specials. Basically, one person told us we would get house drinks at 25 cents after purchasing one full price, but the bartender said nope, and I guess the girl just had all the info completely wrong. Anyway, food is decent and drinks are good.

Food was great, TV's at every angle and it was lively and getting livelier. Staff always checking up on you and giving people a great time. Felt bad for neighboring bars that had little to no peeps. My first mojito was nice and strong but my second one was really weak.

Grilled foods? Nice place to drink? Baja Sharkeez is the best place for you!

Not my first choice of bars. It's really small and the music is never really good. The drinks are priced just about the same as the other bars on the strip.

Bomb happy hour and specials. Never fails to make my tummy and liver happy. They don't skimp on the alochol either!

This is a place you go to rage....if you just want food on an off peak time then you will surely be disappointed by the customer service. Be aggressive, don't get offended when they give you the stink eye when you wave to get their attention

Never going to this bar again one they asked me to leave couldn't even go inside to get my purse and if I would have left I would have had to come back the next day for my credit card and id because they didn't give it to me and second the other sharkeez bugged me for weeks about a free vip party guess what no especial booth with balloons or discounted drinks just a bunch of bs promises

Great place to go out and have a few drinks with your buddies. Come before 10pm because after 10pm there is a line and sometimes can take 15-30min to get in. The lead security Bill B. is an awesome guy and takes care of the customers to the fullest. It was my first time there but I'm definitely coming back.

The lady bartender was rude to us and I don't think she likes black people because she was nice to my white friend

Unfortunately is the worst experience I've ever had they were pretty busy for a Wednesday approximately 8:30 felt like college X everybody was drinking which was cool everybody was nice but I couldn't get a drink to save my life I waited for 15 minutes I didn't feel like flailing my arms and waving someone down it was obvious I was sitting there at a white hat and a white shirt went to the David Benoit concerts thought I'd come over and have the burger special and beer special couldn't get waited on even went back and got chips and salsa sat at a different table nobody ever asked me for an order probably will never go back worst experience I've had in Hermosa I'll just go down to Hennessey's and Mike he'll take care of me like always

Cool spot with good music. A lot of Lights and sit down space with tables. Music will kinda bounce from one genre to another like reggae for like 3 songs then jump to like hip hop, Pop, to alternative rock. Good vibes. Parking structures close by that aren't too expensive.

Ok food, nothing all that special. Nice place to just go for maybe a drink while walking downtown

My friend and I stopped here for breakfast during our trip. They had cheap breakfast with endless mamosas for an hour. Food was good, staff were friendly. We came back for both nights we were there.

Very happening place, albeit the drinks are very mediocre.

Burger was surprisingly very good, free chips and salsa, good crowd, relaxed dress code.

Excitement all over,people dancing to every song. Vibes where high full of laughter,Bartenders with speed& smiles,fair prices especially for the location by the pier. Diversified crowd,ages where 24-65. Awesome time to be there is 10:00pm-1:00am. Have Fun

The amazingly beautiful leira the bartender was so amazing and tended to my every drink I strongly recommend asking for her!!! It gets packed on the weekends but we are always well attended too and have a great time. :) Definitely go on taco Tuesday!!! ANTFLIX It can be a bit of a meat market but that certainly makes for some great people watching.

Myself and a buddy used to eat lunch there about 3 times per month because it's a fun location and lunch staff is friendly, until that is, our last visit. A blonde "waitress" named Erin was rude, terrible at service, and talked to us like a "mean girl" who can't be bothered taking orders from guys who aren't in the trendy popular crowd - we are both in our 50's! I will not eat there again if this rude person is working there!

Good place to go out for a cheap drink, especially the screwdiver, an orange vodka cocktail.

It's very hard to consistently have a good experience here. I'm in Hermosa Beach everyday and always try to support the local business as they tend to have a lot of pride in there work. Sharkeez is a big exception. I try to avoid this place at all cost. Definately the food is never the reason anyone goes there. It's a place to be seen and to see people. The only good thing about it is that it is ALWAYS open. most good bars/restaurants in the area will close when there isn't enough business because it's expensive to hire quality workers. But this place is just a joke. Avoid this establishment if possible.

I finally had my last straw with this place when i was waiting for a friend and i was sitting outside. An older woman who was clearly drunk came over and started harrassing me. I told her to leave me alone and she threatened by saying that she was an "investor" and part-owner and that she could kick me out in 5 minutes. I told her i wouldn't mind if she did because at this point she had now come and sat next to me which seemed ironic since I was the one "annoying" her. The manager at that time asked me to leave and I told him what happened. He said it was a "sticky situation" and there was nothing he could do. To his credit he said he would comp me drinks the next time I come in but Even if they gave me an open bar I wouldn't come back. I grew up in Hermosa my whole life. Worked all day running a volleyball tournament for kids under 18 at the pier and wanted a beer and a place to sit.

Sharkess wants to change the enviornment down at hermosa, if they do then more power to them. But if my voice is heard at all I would hope they take there chain somewhere else.

Endless misosa is the bomb and bloody mary bar can't be beat.

Cool place a bit small, dance floor could be a bit fixed around.

Had a great time for a friend's bday. Wish it had more space. The parking is intentionally confusing so they can give parking tickets
