Beautiful place of serenity, a must-see if you're visiting Chicago!

Its a beautiful and peaceful place. Everyone must visit.

What a beautiful House of Worship and the grounds were just beautifully landscaped, decorated, and maintained! A must visit in Chicago.

A serene beautiful House of Worship, welcoming people of all Faiths. The unique nine sided building is enhanced by nine meticulously landscaped gardens. Each garden has a fountain. The interior is exquisite. The nearby Visitor's Center has an educational film about the architectural design and construction history of the building, a bookstore, and ample free parking. An unforgettable experience.

It is always a spiritual and enlightening experience for me to visit the Baha'i temple!
People are all faiths are welcomed with open arms. And there is never a charge or request for donation, to enter and worship.

Worth the drive and overnight stay to see at night and then to have devotions next day. Tour of grounds. The most sacred place on the North American continent. So beautiful.

The gardens are stunning in the spring, fall, and summer. It is a beautiful place to visit and experience inside and out. It is also amazing to have a temple in Chicago as they are not very common around the world. If you are interested I would even recommend researching about the architecture and the history of the religion and temple.

Everyone was friendly and polite. Both the architecture and gardens were gorgeous and pristine! I would highly recommend giving this place a visit, even if only to check out the structure and gardens! There's a welcome center near the parking lot with tons of historical information.

Great place for meditation..... Can feel the inner peace

This place is beautiful and peaceful.

It's very quiet and there's nothing to "do" here, but that's kind of the point.

Even in winter, the grounds are lovely; I can't wait to see it in spring.

Very beautiful and peaceful place. This is a must place to visit if you are a visitor in Chicago. Only Baha'i temple of north America.

We visited the temple with the family and we found it of a magnificent architecture. The setting is nice and peaceful. On the spiritual level, the temple and gardens lend themselves to meditation, prayer and meditation, whatever his or her confession.

I will start this with I was a tourist here and was just visiting in Chicago and was told to visit here.

With that being said, I visited here and was extremely happy that I did. This is a beautiful place. After doing more research about the faith and how rare these house of worships are I became very moved about the building. I would highly suggest stopping in here even if you aren't overly religious.

We come every weekend for fishing in the golf... we like the peaceful water from here

An absolutely peaceful location for medication. Outdoors are perfect for photography, indoor photography strictly not allowed. Garden around is well maintained. Beach is two blocks away which is a plus. Limited parking space but street parking available.

Simply beautiful! The architecture is almost enchanting and mystical. It's places like these which make me appreciate the wonders and beauties of our planet. A truly tranquil and wonderful place. I definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to go!

This place, I love it!! It's a great place to visit when you need to slow down in life and focus within. I love walking around here and ponder. Then going inside allows me to slow down and think and meditate. It's been years since I've been here and the wonder and awe I experienced was still there this latest visit. I needed this visit. Most amazing relaxing place with a great background

This is a wonderful place to visit if you are in the area. It's a one of s kind architectural masterpiece which has some of the most detail oriented pieces on its outer structure. It is a very calm place which is great to pray, meditate, or just relax near one of many outdoor ponds. The landscaping is perfect, the upkeep is immaculate and it really is a treasure that you need to see it to believe it.

What a beautiful Temple, The architecture is amazing, and a place to pray, meditate, and reflect become uplifted, It was defiantly an amazing spiritual experience. The gardens are so beautiful and such a lovely setting next to the lake. every one I meet at the temple was amazing, so helpful, kind and friendly Thank you! for the amazing experience! Gorgeous grounds. It's easy to image that you're in a foreign land as you're walking through the gardens. Bring your camera as you'll want to take pictures.

I went there about 13 years ago. One of the most beautiful places i have ever been. It is the ideal place for every person, no matter what religion or belief you follow, to pray, meditate and be in peace.

This is my first time coming to the bahai temple and it was amazing experience,it had an amazing view and it had 6 waterfalls around it In the in side it had all these quotes from each religion and it was big.

A place of great peace. It has recently been renovated. Even if you have been there before, it's worth another visit.

If you are into temples and mosque, this is the place to be. Beautiful architecture from the outside, inside not so much. The parking is free under an hour, which is plenty of time for just a temple. There is a park nearby to kill some time after the temple tour.

Beautiful place to admire architecture but even better place to meditate, reflect and speak with the universe.

My time there was "out of this world". There is no place holier in North America than this Temple.

Very peaceful location outside of Chicago. I don't come here often, but when I do, I usually bring my camera to take pictures. Michigan lake is nearby. There's parking at the back of the Temple.

Beauty in every form. My favorite time to visit is on a clear night between the summer and fall. A barefoot walk through the dew wet grass is so relaxing.
