This was a very cool place to go. The architecture is so intricately beautiful it's breathtaking. The grounds are gorgeous and well manicured. It's a quiet, peaceful place.
An emblematic place in Chicago where all religions are combined, it is a very Li nd place and suitable for meditating
Very nice and peaceful place. Gardens and surroundings are beautiful and well maintained.
Some facilities (washrooms) are only at welcome center which closes early than actual temple, so do note this points while visiting.
It's a very nice place for prayer for Baha'i religion. They welcome all people. Architecture design of the building is very unique and lake Michigan can be observe from East side. In a regular day, there are plenty of parking on West side of the building.
It was a really beautiful place interesting and clean the staff are helpful
This place is amazing. I love this unique building and the increadible elements and details of the facade. A visit is definitely worth it!
Stunningly beautiful monument. A true testament to the beauty inherent in all of us, cross-culturally. Bravo to the architect and engineers!
The architecture is amazing but the Spirit of welcome is phenomenal! I go often to meditate and walk around the immaculate grounds.
It's beautiful and tranquil. A great place to visit
I was here for my sisters wedding a few years ago perfect place to have one
Open to everyone from 6am to 10pm (assuming there is no ice on the stairs). For personal reflection, prayer, and communion with your own spirit and with God. If you are looking for a place to offer a sense of peace and calm in this world, start here!
Beautiful and worth seeing. The architecture is fantastic and the fountains with pools calming. It is a good place to pray or meditate with no charge or pressure.
I enjoy being there I come almost every week especially on a weekdays when it's less people where I can relax and meditate and do some prayers
This is one of the spots that can go and just relax and enjoy the world around you. Come here to meditate, enjoy the architecture or find something different.
Is an incredible place and a very interesting architecture design!
Beautiful, impressive house of worship for all religions. Gardens surrounding are beautiful and well kept. At the end of the CTA Purple Line, plus a few short blocks of walking.
This is one of the most inspirational places I've ever been to. I'd seen pictures of it on the internet but I was not prepared for the majesty of this building and its surroundings when I finally got to visit it in person. Cast into each and every column are symbols representing different religions. It's a holy place for members of the Baha'i Faith, but people of all faiths can see the beauty and sense the peace it offers. It's a haven for a distressed humanity, and truly a place to feel close to one's Creator.
1hr train ride from Chicago but def worth the visit. Awesome architecture with just as impressive gardens with proximity to the ! Def a best lunch spot. Interior is currently closed due to the pandemic
Very peaceful. Didn't get much time to spend but still it was wonderful experience.
Such a beautiful place. a little off the beaten path and well worth the drive.
Amazing space! The intricate design inside and out is simply gorgeous.
A must visit when up on the North Shore.
Every time I visit the House of Worship I am filled with peace.
Gorgeous! A "must see" on the North Shore! Check out the visitor center for lots of info.
Great place to reflect, worship. No matter what religion, race or ethnic background. Amazing architecture and beautiful grounds.
Awesome place to find some peace with mind. I liked the prayer hall and it s windows all around. It was beautiful to see hues in the sky from it at sun set
Beautiful worship place. You feel peace inside your heart.
One of the best place to visit if u are in chicago. The place is beautiful and peaceful. There is also beach near to this temple. Good place to visit during summer so u can enjoy the beach as well.
Stunning architecture. Even if you're not religious you might get a spiritual feeling visiting this beautiful temple. Detail that is intricate beyond the imagination and a surreal sense of place. I could go into some arcane philosophical discussion about math and the human condition but I'll spare the details on this one. I'm posting a Google review for a religious Holy place... so there is some encapsulated humor in that... uh... if you want to feel spiritual and stuff... please visit. If you are Ba'Hai, well... then what are you waiting for?? I really want to read the review from the guy who left a one star review.... LOL. I mean seriously... LoL
I m at peace whenever I visit the temple. The garden and waterfalls are beautiful and there s ample parking across the street.
This is a very beautiful and welcoming temple meant for all faiths to come to. The building was spectacular in very detailed and the acoustics were incredible with the choir singing. The man at the front door was very sweet and knowledgeable and had lots of information to share with us. Would definitely recommend for a bit of newer history and to see this beautiful building.
Beautiful architecture, beautiful location, beautiful religion.
Beautifully designed and aesthetically build place of worship for all the religions. It is not a Chicago Land Mark so could be taken off from the list of 'must see' places. However, can be visited if one is keen to learn about the architect and design of the building. I learnt about te Baha'i faith for the first time after visiting this place, but it does not mean I also endorse it.
I have seen this place many times since I was a child. Came here with my wife just because we were in the area. We didn't go inside but the temple and the grounds were just breathtaking. When I came home I looked in to the building of the temple and seen the inside on you tube. I have to go back. All religions and races are welcomed here. So understand that this rating is based on my observations from the outside only, but I am so sure that i will not change my mind. I will be back here. There is a peace surrounding this amazingly beautiful place. It is a true wonder
Go just before sunset and stay till it gets a bit dark! Very Serene
A little surprise to meet this wonderful place. The energy of the meditation hall is so pure and strong.
Wow, one of the seven Bahai temples in the world. Glad to visit the welcoming center. The architecture is beautiful, location is great and educational.
Beautiful place. Indescribable how amazed I was of such a beautiful and pleasant space.
Hidden gem. One of the best places to visit in Chicago. Special vibe.
Beautiful house of worship. Very peaceful and quiet setting. the architecture is absolutely stunning.
The Temple and the grounds are very beautiful and peaceful. I used to take the bikepath along the Lake and bike to this tranquil oasis on the weekends. Inside, it is silent, full of light, and divine. Enjoy a few (or many) moments of silence here. The gardens surrounding the Temple are worth a walk-around as well.
The building itself was magnificent on the outside. The inside of the dome was also spectacular, but the inside was plainer than I imagined and you couldn't take pictures inside. There is a little book of bahai prayers just inside the door when you walk in. I wish I had been able to hear the choir. Also I thought the gardens would be grander.
An absolutely beautiful place of serenity for all denominations. Take a stroll around the only Baha'i temple in North America.
Did not let us walk around the outside of the temple with our service dog. Ridiculous.
Gorgeous interior, fantastic experience. Nice to be in a place where all faiths or faithless are welcome.
A very beautiful place. I advise everyone to visit here!
It is a temple where everyone can come in and pray the way they have learned in their religion.
Most amazing and peaceful place, and everyone says hi to you!
How can you NOT love this place. Beautiful and inspiring and a great place to bring guests.
Amazing architecture. Great place to visit just for the view.
