Really rude member of staff in the building department. Asked a perfectly reasonable question about some block paving. As there were only a couple of the type I wanted on display, I asked if they had any more. He looked at the young lad who was working with him, rolled his eyes and said in the most patronising manner, 'there's only a couple because you have to order them.' I could almost hear the 'Duh' in his voice.

I asked a member of staff a technical question about a mixer tap and I was told that she wasn't a plumber and I was told to go to the till to put a call out a call for someone from kitchens. I thought this was poor customer service.

Now I've had the time of my life

Now I've had the time of my life
No, I never felt like this before
Yes I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to B&Q

'Cause I've had the time of my life
And I owe it all to you

I've been waiting for so long (in the queue)
Now I've finally found someone to stand by me (again, in the queue)
We saw the writing on the wall (graffiti)
And we felt this magical fantasy
Now with passion in our eyes (bit much)
There's no way we could disguise it secretly (the signs are literally orange)
So we take each others hand
'Cause we seem to understand the urgency (to get home and let the dog out)

Just remember
You're the one thing
I can't get enough of
So I'll tell you something
This could be love

Pretty much same as usual, except one assistant from the potteries, who really went above and beyond to help us out. B&Q hadn't got what I wanted in stock. So he tried to find one at other depots and when he couldn't, he eventually found one at Screwfix. This man is a star. Thanks very much.

Just drove to the store in Crewe having looked on the site for opening hours, (8am till 5pm) when I arrived there I was greeted by a store worker who I believe was on her way home, her greeting was "the store is closed unless your picking up click & collect or your after flowers." Why is this information not on the website I asked, her reply was the corporate response "were having trouble with the wedsite" think I'll use a different store in future

A good superstore

A good superstore
I visit regularly
It would be 5 stars if they put in some iPad style screens where you could search for the location of items
The staff don t always know where things are kept so can become tiresome if finding something not entirely obvious
Apart from that it s great!

It's a DIY store that is well stocked. But every thing you require always seems to be half a mile away. I always look carefully at the items I purchase from B&Q as they are not consistent in quality. Screwfix stock the same and a few more items, so check them out first.

We've visited B&Q several times during Covid 19 lockdown and found it to be quite well organised. There's a socially distanced queue to get in and you are obliged to take a trolley regardless of your shopping requirements. Once inside, there are floor markings to help with distancing and screens and card payments only at checkout.

Member of staff came over and asked if they could help us. When we asked a question about ordering paint she said she did not know if we could and that she was already serving someone else. So why come over and offer to help if you were already serving someone else?

I don't mind b&q but I wish the more remote aisles were numbered clearly or on a map.
Oh and what anicent search engine does the website use, useless unless you name something exactly.
Still, not bad if randomly cheap for some things and expensive for others.

Sadly, I have had quite a few products in their VALUE range be sub-standard. A metal handled garden hoe bent whilst turning soil. A shed brush handle snapped off whilst staining a fence. Unfortunately, there aren't any independent hardware stores that can compete. Customer service is on a par with the international monoliths like Tesco. Sigh.
