Doctors who only think about filling bags and self-enrichment ... you're a number. Once their bags are filled, you can kick off .... Yesterday had minor surgery on the knee because of tear in the meniscus. The days before I had some nerves, but was not necessary at all! There is a great guidance from start to finish by the super friendly and helpful and professional nursing and other staff gives a very reassuring effect. Everything had passed without my realizing it very well and pain after surgery, I really can not complain! This night for the first time back did not come up in many weeks of pain! Virtually the best hospital in Ghent! Top quality! I was operated on for a double inguinal hernia at the end of January 2020, and everything was in perfect shape from check-in to hospital discharge! The welcome was warm and very friendly, the people in the day clinic were very friendly and professional. When prepping, Dr. Muysoms stopped by for some details and then the operation could begin. When I awoke from general anesthesia, the friendly anesthesiologist Dr. Pieters just came to me. Once in the room I almost immediately got something to eat and drink and then I was allowed to go home.
The follow-up by Dr. Defoort also went very smoothly!
The hospital was completely renovated a few years ago, and is ultramodern! You can easily find your way to the various services. There is a large restaurant / cafeteria with a wide selection.
The hospital is also easily accessible via the R4 or via the Kortrijksesteenweg.

Beautiful new construction and modern rooms. I experienced meals very well. Register with EID via vending machine and payment only via invoice at address.
The maternity staff has fantastic staff. The rooms have all modern comfort (air conditioning, 2 fridges, clean bathroom, Senseo machine, ...) and are neatly maintained. In the morning and evening you have a lot of choice in what you eat. A minus: on one side of the hallway you look out on an inner courtyard where nothing is visible. This is difficult for longer recordings, you get a very isolated feeling.
Doctor Moerman left me to my own devices after my operation, while I was struggling and still struggling with serious voice problems. Ombudsman D. De Mol did not answer my questions until I filed a complaint with the Agency for Care and Health. Is this care with a soul? Fortunately there were friendly nursing staff on the day of the operation. They were the only bright spot for me in this hospital.

I have been coming to her for a few years now and I am still treated as each patient wishes. Make time, you are not a number, look and look for all possibilities, listening ear, explains everything so well in human language that it is understood where your pain comes from. Never knew everything was so complex. The physiotherapist had to come and the orthopedist, so, in the absence of time, the driver had to take me to the radiograph.
The nurses REFUSED to take me in a wheelchair for RX, which was not part of their duties due to lack of time and too much work.
With 4 nurses, they stuck to the wall to do nothing.
The driver then finally went to the radiography with me.
It took a lot of effort to get out of the hospital.

Very modern and clean hospital - for me anyway - so far everything has always gone smoothly. Everything is well marked, the registration columns give you all the information; the printed ticket even includes directions to the department where you have to be (sometimes lies in the details, you feel good about something).
The fact that you sometimes have to wait a little longer makes sense and human (there are always emergencies coming or anticipate what treatments in between). It is the knowledge that counts for me here.
Last surgery was on stomatology department. There had to be 2 teeth. I had weeks of tevoor enormous stress, and even been literally sick (!) The day before. But now a few days later had not had a minute of pain, either during treatment or afterwards. During the treatment was always communicated very clearly and thoroughly so you know what happened (I find it pleasant if one of the less pleasant pricks "Herald" and tells you what the situation is at every step of treatment). Thanks to the team! Stress for nothing actually.
I think negative experiences here lies on the person (doctor versus patient) but if it goes on infrastructure then this class hospital, with my experience doctors with expertise!

I was admitted to the day clinic in February. I am not really satisfied with the way of working at this hospital. You have to wait a very long time in a normal waiting room until it is your turn (much later than agreed). The administrative staff is correct, but certainly not overly friendly. It can't all go fast enough. Moreover, they still made mistakes in invoicing and tried to make it seem as if I was wrong. Fortunately the nurses are friendly. For the rest, it is a large factory that lacks humanity.
Had ultrasound on radiology. I had to wait a bit long but the radiologist (Schoofs) was very friendly and gave a lot of explanation. Also very helpful nurse.

Very quickly and professionally assisted in the emergency department. After that I had to stay a few days and felt a lot of warmth and understanding, day and night, week and Sunday shift.
Being sick is not fun, but if you have to, this is the place.
I myself was rushed there last week. Very kindly received. Nursing / caring staff is very polite there, super friendly and helpful. Only I think those people there are experiencing an enormous workload. For example, I was forgotten a dose of intravenous antibiotics, another time a bag, but only later injected the medicine. Blood samples, but then again because of "2 tubes needed". Or simply not aware that blood had to be taken.
A blocked infusion that prevents a dose of antibiotics from flowing again. Was disconnected ... but I still had to ask about that conscious dose ...

This is the worst hospital that I visited in Ghent for the 1st time !!! !!! !!! (Emergency department)
I first visited my doctor on a public holiday with my little one, the doctor informed me that our little one had an ear infection and that we
2 options, either give antibiotics and go home and wait or go to the hospital.
We chose to go to the '' emergency '' because the little one had a 40.30 degree fever, did not respond much, always fell asleep, which was not normal for the doctor and therefore more research was needed in the hospital. We had also given Nurofen and Perdolan Suppo to our little one before our visit to the GPs from Wacht, and that had not helped to lower her fever either.
However, behind our choice to go to the '' emergency '' we had to wait 3 hours, the emergency doctor came by and did less than 5 minutes of research, he said that nothing was wrong that everything was OK !!! He said that the ears are red but that he can not prescribe the CPR (blood test) was also good, it had risen a bit but nothing to worry about that.
After the investigation was done, I asked for a family leave note, I had to go to work after a few hours, but I couldn't sleep without it.

This hospital is located on the Ghent Ring. It is a modern hospital, but not the cheapest in Ghent. The staff is very friendly and correct. The meals are in order and actually quite tasty by the standards of a large kitchen. There is a large parking lot and plenty of space for cyclists. In the hall there is a piano that can be played freely and this creates a homely atmosphere.
