Incompetent people. No support anymore. If errors occur in the program, caused by updates from Avira and the cost, if the PC does not work then you have to pay yourself. I can only advise against this bad company. In my eyes, that's scam!

As a long time paying customer of Avira, I take no pleasure in writing this review. If you are a paying user of the premium version, not the free versions, of their products, they force the user to deal with a very annoying pop-up reminder to renew your subscription every 48 hours for a few weeks before the actual end of the subscription. The default is every 24 hours but you can change the frequency to every 48 hours. To turn the notification off, you have to renew the subscription for that software. For the last two weeks I have sent screenshots in support tickets to Avira complaining about this. "We are working on it...." Finally just today I get a response from Avira telling me that they can turn it off if I want them to. I am going to turn it off permanenty myself by no longer being an Avira customer when my remaining subscription ends. Good products, but terrible customer service and horrible business practices at the moment.

Software is good, HOWEVER, if you try to contact customer service for any reason, you will be left unhelped, unassisted... whether you are in the USA or Germany.
Before Ivestcorp recently overtook Avira, it USED to be great at CS and Tech support issues. Now you speak with NO ONE, only listen to their recording before being disconnected. It's become another one of those companies.
Though I like the software, I need the CS aspect and will be changing software after my term expires.

Newsletter can not be unsubscribed for several months already!

Sodala, because you can not unsubscribe from the Avira newsletter with the emails (the unsubscribe link does not work) I will annoy you from now on and comment on each of your posts, with things that you certainly not interested.
