Lovely medium size international airport. Not a lot of signs in English which is normal in Russia tho. The staff were helpful and tried to help us with aero Express ticket even with thier limited English. The queue for custom and passport control is usually quick especially for arrival. The departure halls are big with lots of cafes and restaurant. The prices are double it cost such as in Burger King. Loved the children playground in the middle of the airport. Gates are easy to find. If you travel from Moscow with luggage and have at least two people, the taxi with Yandex app maybe a better option than taking metro to take Aeroexpress train ( takes 35 mins from kievsky rail station ).

Vnukovo Airport is small, but very cozy, but the fact that the metro can be reached by bus for 55 rubles instead of aeroexpress 500 ruble (which of course is very convenient and beautiful and it's undeniable) makes it just super cool! For passengers it is very nice to have a choice for going to the capital.

Huge airport, on its own it is very easy to manage and find all you need but the traffic until there is horrible, at 03:00am it took me 3h to get there almost missed flight, so go on time don't make mistake like me %)

Laging behind Sheremetyevo significantly. Far from the city, navigation inside the terminal (check in area) confusing. Parking relatively far from the terminal. Very limited number of jetways means that most likely you will end up in a bus to get in/out the plane. Not nice in weather is not pleasant (which is mostly the case). Organization not sofisticated, so you may wait 40 min in a bus.

Over all great experience. I needed a SIM card, it has 4 mobile shops to choose different services from, which was nice. Got MTS for 400 rubles/$12 with 3GB data / 30 days package, not bad. Has normal taxi line with set fares which is great. Free WIFI which was perfect to make a Skype call. Found WIFI to work best at the airport entrance, not so much at the gate. Shops are expensive. Cup of coffee about $8.

Nice modern airport.
The good thing about modern airports linke Vnukovo is that they are designed with the additional security measures in mind.When you land there are 30+ security booths. On AMS, JFK or CDG there are less !
Airport is clean, airconditioned and has a good lay-out.
Defenitly prefer this airport over the other airports around Moscow.

A really useful aeroport: easy to get there from the city with train, 30 minutes from Kievsky Terminal or taxi, just 50 minutes from the centre. Inside is full of shops and boutiques. My phone was stolen from my bag while I am in the line to enter the green zone. I went to the police there but didn't help me. They said no camera there to see who took it ( how come no camera in a very critical spot in the airport) they are layer there is the camera but don't want to do anything. And of course, no wifi to connect my laptop to use "find my iPhone app" to help me locate my phone. It was the most horrible experience.
